A hidden Gem among downtown Brownwood, Texas.This place has both historic significance with a modern flair in its design.I happened upon it whilst dying of thirst in the Texas heat. They offer a variety of beverages, which my favorite has to be the lemonade, after two cups full i found myself craving more.The staff is stellar. They go above and beyond for their customers and my 5 year old son was excited to be around them.I give them 5* and recommend that anyone of any age should check them out.

I love visiting local bookstores! I wish Id taken more photos because it was a beautiful place! I loved the mural and the hallway of books :)They had a good assortment of books and it had a homey feeling

As comfortable and warm as a blanket during a thunderstorm. As spacious as a cavern and yet as intimate as a hole in the wall. As interesting as a mystery and as familiar as Grandmas home made soup.Spent an hour here just looking and chatting, and it was well worth it.

Love going to this unique bookshop. They always have a book Ive had on my TBR list. I dont think Ive ever left empty handed.

Really enjoyed this place alot, me and my friends hung out on the top floor and the place feels so homey! Plus their book selections are any genre you can think of! Definitely go back for my books and coffee too!

One very beautiful store. A book store that your city can be proud of for sure. I love everything about it! Kim and Katie that I truly appreciate in their want and kindness. They welcomed me and my first novel, The Reckoning of Rance, that the book store now carries along with the ones sold on Amazon, but only Intermission Books carry the autographed copy. They accepted me in so graciously in a time when book signings are halted. They are good people in very difficult times, that everyone who enjoys reading should take the time to visit in this very beautiful book setting. I love their selection of books and how everything was displayed for the readers ease to find. Cannot wait for the chance to get back there again. Just a beautiful store ran by beautiful people.

Ive been aching for a good bookstore in town since Hastings closed, and this place fills that need perfectly. They have a great selection with more books coming in constantly. Everything is well-organized, and they also accept book donations! Theres also plenty of seating. Overall, the atmosphere is cozy with that hint of wonder all good bookstores can provide. Highly recommended!

Such a neat place! Had some local coffee inside and a good selection. Found some childrens books Ive been looking for, and will definitely go back to find some for myself!

I happened upon Intermission Bookstop when in town with friends and I am excited to return to this bookstore every trip. The coolest bookstore Ive ever seen with the most helpful staff that get as excited about books as I do.
