“IT broke my phone”I recently took my phone to a local phone repair shop in Burnsville called Helper tech. My phone was not charging via cord but after going to the store I found out that the charging port from the phone to the “plug in” location was not functioning properly anymore. I also was told that my phone would work with a charging dock but not the cord. Charging docks can range from 40.00 to 100.00, depending on the style.I was told this would be a quick fix, to come back in an hour and it will be completed. Nothing else, I did not sign any paperwork, waiver or anything for potential issues that could arise. After a couple hours, I went back and was able to pick up my phone. They showed me the charging port was completed and fixed. I was very satisfied at this time, believing my phone issue was minor and fixed.Before getting home, my phone started turning on and off every five minutes and I was unable to do anything with my phone such as making phone calls or text messages. I went back to the store and they said they would take another look at the phone. I had already spent 100.00 to get my phone fixed and now I might have to spend more due to something they did. They stated that it would not cost me anything. The store had to keep my phone overnight to trouble shoot and figure out what was causing the issue.This issue was new and never occurred prior to going to Helper Tech. Not only that, in order to complete my job, I need to access accounts that I can only do with my phone. So, the next day I went into the store, where they said they were fixing my phone. However, when I got there the tech was not there and I was told he was at the other store. The first day I was at the store I was promised that Helper Tech was going to be the priority of the next day due to this being an issue they caused. When I asked why the tech was not working on my phone, no one could give me a straight answer. Irritated, I went home, still without a phone. Same day, I received a phone call from the tech saying they were unable to find out the issue and that they would try to get some new parts in to fix it (on their dime) and if they could not fix it, they would give me a new phone the next day.The third day without my device, I was notified that my phone was not able to be salvaged and they were going to give me a new phone when I went to the store. This was nice, since they had messed it up to begin with, however, they attempted to give me a phone with less quality than my other phone, stating that was all they had at the moment. When I said this was unacceptable, miraculously they found a phone similar to the quality I had. Very shady and not a trust worthy company, yes, they had made good on their end but in the long run, as a first responder, it comprised my ability to do my job- during a pandemic- and create more stress and annoyance because of all the sneaky attempts to give me worse quality products. After this mess I would highly suggest anyone trying to get their phone fix to consider another company with your electronic devices.

I was able to get my phone screen repaired in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Great customer service! I will be recommending them to friends and family!

This place is great. Make sure you talk to Scott Olsen this guy can figure out anything. I bought and used iPhones and a used notebook and I had some laptops computers. Set my daughter locked up was some security code. I took it into Scott two of them. And he got in and found the code. He reset both of my laptops he is simply the greatest guy to deal with. Be unlocked both laptops. Because my daughter has a learning disability if she could not figure out the code she put in. So I took them two Scotts. Scott unlock both computers I took them up two days later he showed me how to put a code in both laptops it was the best $175 I ever spent the guy is amazing Id give Scott right here eating 10 Stars if I could Mark and Dorothy

Got my phone fixed in a hour, Cassie was very helpful. Installed the glass screen protector for me, and I even got a back up screen protector. Easily accessible from 35 right down the street from the burnsville center/mall so if you want a stand alone store and dont want to go into the mall this is your best bet. My phone looks brand-new and I even got a 20 dollar in-store credit (as a employee how to get your own in-store credit).

One star, and that is overrating the Helpertech. Under no circumstances go to Helpertech - they are clueless! I called to see if they could put a new screen in my Google Pixel 2 xl. They said yes, but they didnt have the screen in stock. I would have to stop in, and fill out the paperwork. Stopped in, filled out the paperwork, and prepaid for the parts, and labor. I no more than got home, and I get a call: it seems that that dont work on the Google Pixel 2xl, and if I want a refund I would have to go back to the store. It seems that they dont know how to refund my purchase by the transaction number, they need the card. So I turned around, and went back to the store, and they processed the refund. But no, I get a call 10 minutes later telling me that instead of a refund they charged my card a second time. But this time I didnt have to drive all the way back. I could just give the card information over the phone. Why I couldnt do that the first time I dont know, but I will definitely be watching my credit card statement. Why 2 different employees didnt know what products they service is also a big mystery. I just wasted an hour, and have nothing to show for it.

The helper tech was very pleasant. He was the only one there and even though it was busy, he remembered who he had already helped out and those he needed to address. Very quick to answer any/all questions, finished up a couple phone problems. When it was my turn, he addressed my issues and wasn’t sure that would be done yet on Saturday, but when he called that my phone was done, I stated that I would pick it up on Monday. We brought our I Phone in with water damage and they staff did a fantastic job repairing the phone. When we 1st picked up the phone the screen still had issues, but they were more than happy to try again. Now phone works perfect again!
