Amazing lighting store. Went in with a vague idea of what I wanted and Angie D. was very patient and helpful as we explored options. She helped us pick a dining room and 2 kitchen lights (wasnt thinking about those but fell in love with one). I highly recommend checking them out as you look for lights.

This place lights up my life for sure! I have been here a few times with my beautiful wife. This is where we totally fell in love with a vanity fixture. We went to many other places of illumination searching for something better but were constantly left in the dark. We went back and were greeted by a bright young salesman who found us our lamp and the ladies behind the counter glowed as they processed our purchase. We love our shiny new purchase and Southern Lights made our cloudy day a sunny one!

Its a neat place to check out if you are shopping for lighting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are tall be prepared to duck a lot.

I always use Angie at Southern Lights because their showroom is the best in the area by far and I get great service. I design a lot of whole house interiors and all my orders for clients are closely followed to make sure everything is on time and available. Every box is marked with their locations before delivery and it makes it easy for the electrician to install. Angie also gives great selection ideas and is so helpful when we come across any issues. I would highly recommend using them.

Always technically professional with great service. SAD to see their managers and employees massively ignore mask wearing guidelines that they profess to but, again, ignore. We are so sorry. Its addressed every day. A week later, NO CHANGE. Ive spent many thousands of $$$ here. Looking for alternatives.

We just purchased a new home and need new lighting throughout. I have been to Southern lights twice and both experiences were horrible. Today was the worst, not one single person greeted me and was impossible to get help. I stood in front of the desk taking photos of lighting while 5 employees sat there and ignored me. And on top of that it’s not like it was a busy weekend or evening, very few customers in the store. Sales people just strolling around. They just lost out on my business. Looks like I’ll be light shopping somewhere else.

Went in looking for new lighting for my 2nd house. Was there in the morning and it wasnt busy at all. 10+ employees working. No one said Hello, no one asked if I needed help or anything. This was even after I made eye contact with several employees. If no one acknowledges your existence when you take the time to stop and shop at your store, then you might as well shop online.

Basically had to beg someone to help me. When I finally got help they had to find someone else to answer my question. Sorry for being such an annoyance. My question, can you wire another light to work off of the fan light remote? There answer no. After further investigation it is very simple to do. Went to Creative Lighting in St. Paul and got exellent assistance!

This is heaven for those who need lights in their place. Nothing you wont find with size, shape and styles. Not your cheaper place but if you need something weird or specific this is the place. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I couldnt find something I needed, surprisingly but my situation was one of a kind

An amazing store. We have purchased many things here and they have always been great to work with. The prices can be a little high, but they have everything you can imagine.

We recently purchased two light fixtures from Southern Lights for our kitchen and front entryway. They look beautiful in our house! The selection of light fixtures was good and the prices were reasonable. The only problem was that we had to ask a salesperson for help, rather than someone coming up to us and asking if we needed help. Overall we had a good experience at Southern Lights, and would probably go there again if we needed a new light fixture.

They’re not reliable when it comes to warranty claims. They give you run around and avoid warranty claims.Update after owner’s response: Builder provided the LED recessed bulbs which were bought from Southern Lights as per the builder. Southern lights replaced one in the past and gave me a receipt. But now your people are saying that they have no record of anything. I wish the owner had first called to hear my side of the story instead of replying here on Google with incorrect facts.

Large selection of quality lights at affordable prices. I went into the store near closing in search of two designer flush mounts not to exceed 14 inches in height - this is hard to find! They had hundreds. I was helped immediately by a staff member who went above and beyond, even put bulbs into fixtures I was interested in so I could see what it would look like with various bulb types. He was very quick to look up multiple items for me to check for inventory and when one of the lights I loved was only available on the floor, he gave me a small discount. I had a picture of a light I liked that wasnt on the floor and he went and found it in the back for me. Both purchases look beautiful, were cheaper than Wayfair prices, and better quality than the two I bought online and ended up returning. Zero complaints, 5 stars!

As a designer I have worked with Southern Lights for many years and have never had an issue with any fixtures, they stand by the products they choose to carry. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, ready with advise if you need it, but never pushy. I will continue to use the showroom for years to come because of (1) awesome staff (2) outstanding product!

They have a great selection of lights but the staff was very unpleasant. We had an agreement with our builder to allow for exchanging lights and both the stock room person and the front desk treated me like I was a big inconvenience. I even had to pull out a previous email stating the amount to be credited because she didnt believe me.Wouldnt recommend unless you really need to look at a large selection. Some items in their tent sale were same prices as Amazon so be careful what you pay.

I bought a very expensive Casablanca mission style fan two years ago. I called to ask what my options were to get it fixed. A young lady took my name and number and said someone would call me back ASAP. Nobody called back. They have a beautiful store with lots of merchandise but don’t expect ANY service after the sale. I called the Fan Man and he told me that this type of fan has an electronic control system that fails after the one year warranty period ends. It will cost me about $400 to have this system replaced with a new controller from another manufacturer since Casablanca discontinued our model. FYI

The most a.azing light showroom Ive ever seen, by far. They have every light you could possibly imagine, ceiling lamps, floor lamps, desk lamps etc. Everyone there is helpful. The only negative is that its mostly high end, so the prices are very high.
