What a breath of fresh air...My garage door broke this morning, I googled garage door repair and got their listing. Called the number listed, Someone answered politely, they were able to schedule my appt within a reasonable time (Within 3 hours when I called) the tech (Ron) was exactly on time, quoted me a price, repaired the issue and its now resolved. I could not have asked for a better experience then that. I wish I could provide a double 5 star, they deserve it.

The wire had broken from the flywheel, the little wheels on one side were out of the track, and my garage door was hanging at an angle. I thought Id have to replace the whole thing. The Garage Door Doc fixed my door in 20 minutes! They were so reasonably priced and didnt charge me for coming out to Port Hueneme! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional!

Garage door cable came off due to broken torsion spring. Rick arrived at scheduled time and did exceptional service. I thought I needed a new motor and was prepared to purchase the whole kit and caboodle. Rick was honest in that he said my problem was only the spring and a new motor was not needed. Our garage door opener stopped working for the second time in a month. We used another garage repair person for the first repair....who obviously didnt fix it. Called the service center for our Chamberlain garage door opener who walked us through a couple tests and said we needed new springs which we doubted since they had been replaced not too long ago. Called The Garage Door Doctor folks late in the afternoon and they came first thing the next morning. Eric took one look at our opener and said it just needed a reset which he did in a split second! He went to leave and we asked him what we owed him for the service call and he said we didnt owe him a thing! Wow! We will not hesitate to call them if needed again. Would highly recommend these honest and kind folks!

Eric came out and gave me an honest estimate on the troublesome garage door. The motor was starting to die and he increased the power of the lift. No charge! Told me it may last another year or so. When the motor dies I am calling back and doing business with Garage Door Doc! Thank you.

My garage door would not close completely, so I called the Garage Door Doctor. The guy on the phone helped me through closing it manually and was at my place the next morning to fix it. He arrived on time the next day, and after making a few adjustments, my garage door was back to functioning normally. I can summarize this business with three words: honest, competent, prompt. This guy is good AND honest. Youll hear stories of garage door repairmen showing up then charging higher prices and expanding the scope of needed repairs. He answers the phone! He notifies you when hes in transit. He checks out the garage door and repairs ONLY what needs repairing. And then he does excellent work quickly. Home ownership would be so much easier if the rest of the home repair industry would meet his standard.

The Garage Door DoctorThe other day our garage door would not open. We were desperate! We had a doctor’s appointment. After reading the reviews on garage door people, we called The Garage Door Doctor. Less than an hour later, Eric showed up and opened the garage door so we could get our car out. He then shut it and told us that our springs were faulty and we needed a new pole. Since our garage door was quite old, he said that the owner’s wife would run to the valley and get the equipment, and the owner; Ken would fix it the same day. We couldn’t believe when Ken showed up an hour early, and had everything to repair our door. He knew just what to do. He is a real expert. Our door now works better than it ever did. It runs smoother. Ken said that the springs we had were cheap, but the new ones should last much longer. Ken was very polite, knowledgeable, and nice. He gave us a can of oil and showed us how to use it. We would never recommend any company but The Garage Door Doctor. This is an honest business with reasonable prices. The staff is outstanding! Thank you so much for helping us! You are all terrific!

Ken and his wife were at my home about an hour after my call. He was professional and knowledgeable about the repair that needed to be done. I was happy he came out and left us in a good situation once he left. I’d recommend him to anyone locally who is in need of garage door repair.

The spring on our garage door broke on Sunday and Ken was able to come out the next day and fix it. Another service company I called wouldn’t have been able to make it out for a whole week. He was running behind because of a previous job earlier in the day, but he was communicative about the delay. It wasn’t a big deal to us, but he still gave us an extra discount for being late. I told him he didn’t have to do that, but he insisted because he prides himself on great service. And that, to me, is great service. He and Parker replaced both springs, aligned and lubed everything and were done in less than an hour. I definitely recommend these guys. Thanks again!

We had a great experience with the garage door doctor! Tommy was our installer and he came over to do an estimate on a newlift-master(engine) he was so kind and friendly. He explained everything to me clearly and I took notes. A few days later he came back to install. We were so happy with the service and price! I looked up past reviews and decided to use this company back in January of this year (2019) and felt they were professional and reliable. So, recently when my garage door opener was stressed too much over use in a small amount of time by my teenage son trying to link it to his car. I decided to call them to replace a burnt out panel. Without getting too lengthy at first I felt like this was being handled and then I unfortunately missed the call back to let me know what the status was on the panel. I called back several times since and I spoke with Kathleen or Catherine once and another time with Eric and they both said they would have Rick call me back. I have NOT heard back since. This to me is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I left another voice mail asking why I have not heard back and now have decided to write this review. :(I am adding 2 Stars to my last review of 1 Star from this morning. And I am hoping to add more before the end of this week.Ken who is one of the owners called me after seeing my review from this morning. He apologized and owned his mistake. I respect that he did not make excuses and will give him a chance to redeem himself. I also hope to change my entire review to a positive one. I still believe in second chances and happy endings. Hopefully this will be one of them.I am updating and revising my former review. And I’m happy to say there are still such things as Happy Endings/Outcomes!Ken promised me that he would try his best to keep me as a customer and he has succeeded!He came out to see what the problem was and let me know what it would entail to fix it. He kept me posted if there were any delays and then scheduled a day to come out for the installation. On that day Eric came out with another associate. They both were very courteous & professional. I was told before they came out that it may take up to two hours for the total installation. They were done in one hour! That was a nice surprise. But what was really amazing to me was that Eric also took the time to link both of our cars to the garage door opener and even helped me with installing the MyQ App to my phone. That really saved me A LOT OF TIME having to figure out how to do both those things. It was very much appreciated!I am finishing my review by saying that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Garage Door Doc Inc.!!! They are a CLASS ACT!

I can’t say enough about the Garage Door Doctor! Both of our remotes started working inconsistently at the same time and eventually quit. We tried reprogramming and new batteries, but neither worked. I called a local company that was highly rated on Yelp. Two men came out the same day and in less than 5 minutes told me that it was the logic board and was not worth replacing on an eighteen year old opener. They then strongly urged me to buy a new one from them which could be installed on the spot. When I declined I was charged $20 for the service call. Eric from GDD came the next day, acknowled that it might be the logic board but went to work to assess the problem. After 30 minutes he had them both working perfectly and showed my exactly what the problem was - wiring that had disengaged. When I asked what I owed he said there was no charge and was genuinely happy that he was able to solve our problem. That level of honesty and service is so rare today and we would never call or purchase from anyone else!
