Whole Foods is a little outside of my price range, but I went, and found a few things that cost less than Star Market, and found a couple items I couldnt find elsewhere.Clean, well kept store (no surprise), and courteous helpful staff who helped me locate items.Even the fellow shoppers were polite.Mask protocol was as close to 100% as Ive seen anywhere else in town. So, overall good experience.

I came here to show my gratitude to Whole Foods Staff. I spilled one box of roasted fingerling potatoes when I tried to take all my stuff to checkout platform. The lady quickly helped clean the platform and the other guy took a new box for me right away without keeping me being embarrassed and standing. I wish I knew their names. Whole Foods definitely has greatest staff and has been my all-time favorite market! Thanks again!!! This is well done.

Dont bike here!I had my bike disassembled and parts stolen from their parking lot in broad daylight, and their cctv doesnt work. Their insurance offered me a measly $150 bucks although I lost $600 worth stuff. The offer required me to sign that I can never talk about the incident, so obviously I refused their pocket change, to keep my freedom to write this review instead.

I used this Whole Foods store to provide flowers for my daughters wedding. We all were absolutely thrilled with the result. They provided table centerpieces, the brides bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, flower girls baskets, and table greenery. It was awesome! The staff provided an order form and we provided an inspirational example picture of what we had in mind for the flowers. They, Charlie and others, did all the rest. You could tell they had put their personal best in creating the arrangements. It simply could not have been done better at any cost. And the cost was very reasonable. The bride was extremely happy and grateful for the wonderful addition to her wedding.

My wife bought a fresh 12-pound turkey from WF Prospect Street a few days before Thanksgiving. The bird cooked fine and looked good from the outside, but definitely tasted strangely unpleasant. Its a fine Whole Foods. Well kept, clean, but on the smaller side of available Whole Foods. Still has a lot of items youd expect but fewer than the one on River St, for example. The staff are friendly. Parking lot is a bit small but usually you can get parking spot. No bathroom as far as Im aware. And no spot to eat (as it should be with covid, but this was also the case before covid). In the warmer months (pre-covid), there would be a few tables out in the parking lot for perching to eat.

This grocery store is much smaller than most whole foods. It is located out away from most of the shops. These two factors make it feel much more like a small community grocery store then the chain store it is. The small size of the store limits the number of items which can sometimes make it a little frustrating to shop here. In its favor, due to it being away from most of the other stores it tends to be less crowded. The store does maintain a nice selection of products in the space available. There is a small selection of kosher meat available. It also has a nice produce section and with the recent accusation by Amazon the price drops are nice. The store has reasonable hours that it is open and they do try to have events to reach out to the community around it. After shopping here for a while, you begin to know what to expect to find stocked in this store as compared to the much larger Whole Foods a little over a mile away. This store was the closet grocery store when I last lived in Cambridge and it was extremely convenient when I needed something. I still occasionally stop into this store on my way home from work.

With a much smaller footprint than your typical, suburban Whole Foods Market, the Prospect Street location delivers all the essentials in all the ways that matter. It also provides that small, intimate neighborhood grocery feel that you don’t really see anymore in the era of automobiles and big box supermarkets. It’s accessible by bus and is about a 5-minute walk from the Central Square stop on the Red Line. All in all, this Whole Foods serves its purpose, and this neighborhood, quite well.

Of the four Whole Foods Markets I have been to (Charles River Plaza, River Street, Fresh Pond, and Prospect Street), this is at the bottom of the list.I. Personnel: I brought two rolls to checkout only to find they added tax to them! When I asked the manager about it, he went online and said they were considered separate items and should be taxed as such. When I went home and checked online myself, I found out that was not true. [Note: Since my encounter with him, they no longer charge tax on single roll items.] They also always, always, NEVER give you a receipt unless you ask for one. Why? Lastly, one of the vegetable men could not bother to find out the price of broccoli when it was not marked on the bin.II. My favorite bakery item is strawberry shortcake. Always make sure you check the bottom of the cardboard plate to find the date it was baked otherwise the whipped cream will be stale. The last time I purchased one, the whipped cream was fresh, did not have too much sugar, but there was no vanilla!III. My favorite Whole Foods is Chas. River Plaza. Great people, selection, and always fresh strawberry shortcake. I hope the new Somerville Whole Foods will also be good - and not have any of the personnel presently at Prospect Street.

Originally a Bread and Circus, it was bought by Whole Foods in the 90s. There hasnt been an opportunity to enlarge the footprint of what was a classic organic foods store (bulk and health foods; with some imported cheese for good measure). As a result, it is the size of a large specialty store, not a supermarket or big box store like many other whole foods. However, its location is a good neighborhood, accessible to several longstanding communities, means quality cannot slip.

This is a small Whole Foods, know that going into this store. The hot food is limited and there are no tables. That said, the lines move pretty fast and they carry all the essentials and are usually very well stocked, even at 9:30pm. Well located Whole Foods. Although it is on the smaller side, they still have most things you would need in a jiffy. Stuff here is really quite expensive, which is expected. It gets more crowded at prime oh-shoot-I-need-dinner hours, but the checkout lines move pretty quickly. Staff at the registers, deli, and meat counters are always kind and helpful. Produce selection is decent and fresh.Fun fact: you can go up to the deli/pizza counter and ask for bags of pizza dough to make fresh pizza at home!

Worst whole foods hot bar of any location. No one is coming to Whole Foods for their fix of chicken tenders or ribs (there are better options elsewhere for this) which is all this hot bar seems capable of producing. Every. Single. Day. Food has run out by 7PM. No options for a normal meal (grilled chicken, fish etc) which is not heart-attack inducing comfort food. Beyond the hot bar situation its a Whole Foods and its fine.

This fairly small Whole Foods is great if youre not picky about what you want to pick up for dinner.
