This is a fun store for kitchen, entertaining items. Great quality and reasonable prices.
Amazing. You have to appreciate this place for what it is. If you come here with high expectations of getting everything on your shopping list you may be disappointed but otherwise it’s a great place to shop. The cast iron selection is excellent! Good selection of glasses and other random table wears.
Its an eclectic store. Great for inexpensive glassware and china, kitchen tools, plastic storage, and for paper goods and plasticware for parties. May it live forever! Not open on Sundays most of the year.
Great dishes at a great price
Great spot that has been there forever for excellent prices on kitchenware. Also an excellent selection of party plates, etc.
You can spend a lot of time here looking at all the odds and ends. Theres something new each time. They have a lot of cute little pastry molds and interesting bakeware. Im always surprised to find things that I never knew existed (like a tool to hull strawberries). Also dont miss the basement for lots of open stock glass bowls, ceramics, and random things. In addition to cookware and dishes, they always seem to have a large selection of dried herbs and Trappist jams.
In this day and age it is lovely to find a mom-and- pop store--and a giant one at that--that sells fairly priced items for every day use. Not just China, but kitchen tools, kitchen essentials, cutting boards, coffee machines, glassware, containers, large pots, quality knives, etc. They also pack your items for you. I just love the place and its large space.
This is an awesome shop I stumbled onto in 2019 when I was in town for Superbowl Sunday. Walking down the street as a coffee person, this place jumped out to me. I bought a bunch a great items for great prices. Truly worth checking out and a great local business that competes very well with any big chain.
Wonderful store for all home or your professional food business needs. Great prices, options and fantastic staff.
Good selection of everything kitchen at very reasonable prices. Well worth a trip.
I was shocked when I saw the HUGE selection of kitchen ware when I first looked around. I was just as shocked to find out how inexpensive it is. This will be the only place Ill be going for my kitchen needs, could not recommend more!!
Love this store! Great selection of kitchen stuff.
Got these lovely stemless flutes! They also have some Dansk stoneware I am eyeing.
Great family run cooking shop. Great staff and products.
My name is Joey and I have a kitchen gadget problem. My sister pointed China Fair out to me a few weeks back and I quickly added it to my list of places I needed to spend money. Its got a lot of gadgets for a pretty good price. Everything from Pizza Peels to Coffee Makers to plates. The selection is only so-so. I feel like typically its on the cheap side of things, but for things like a lime juicer, you cant really go wrong.Im not gonna lie, this is a dangerous place if you like kitchen gadgets. If you are like me you will find yourself picking things up and saying you know, now that I think about it maybe I DO need a meat tenderizer (Im a vegetarian).I found it easy to navigate, and pretty decently priced. There were a few things I couldnt find but after asking the staff they typically knew where it was/if they had it. They actually offered to call their other location and get bench scrapers sent over so that when I came back again. All in all if you are in need of some cheap kitchen accessories or just want to see what they have to offer, I highly suggest stopping by China Fair
Awesome selection & prices
If you need any kitchen related, non-appliance item you have to get it here. They have so much dish ware and bakeware all at reasonable prices. It’s great for things you wouldn’t really find in normal stock at other stores, like oversized baking sheets, a variety or cast iron, or various tiny dishes for condiments and such. It is also really fun to walk through the aisles and discover products you didn’t know you needed. A great store in a great location.
Its a cool store for all kinds of chinaware. I bought a couple of small handmade bowls and a beverage dispenser for my cousin.
Funky little place that has a whole lot more than you would expect. Friendly and helpful staff. It is, what I consider to be, value priced. I’ll go back, if for no other reason than just to browse. I found what I was looking for at a more than fair price.
Great value on high quality cookware. Friendly staff.
I honestly didnt think the prices or selection was that spectacular. Theyre average and if youre looking for a quick fix theyre easy. The quality is fine as far as I can tell. The glasses dont seem too think and the bowls and plates seem sturdy enough. For the price theyre simply okay. Compared to crate and barrel (with coupon) or TJmax it seems similar.
Everyone in our neighborhood has been buying all their cooking and serving stuff from this place for years at the Newton location. Excellent quality at terrific prices, and kind and knowledgeable staff that is very helpful. From every kitchen gadget you can imagine to incredible knives, to wonderful dinnerware at reasonable prices, all kinds of essentials. This place is a family tradition...ours AND theirs...and every visit is rewarded with something useful and highly affordable. The old store in Cambridge was burned out, but now you folks are lucky, China Fair is back in town!
Im very happy this place has stayed in business so long. Over the years, its been a reliable source of kitchen gadgets, jars, and wicker. The staff has always been friendly and laid back. Going there always feels like a minor adventure.
Amazing place for cheap kitchen items dishes plates and commercial kitchen overstock kGreat for new small restaurants or new houses apt anythingThey have a HUGE selectionSome old some newGreat Prices!!! Some things are so fantastically cheap its amazing to go check out!
So therapeutic to wander, browsing kitchen supplies. Delightfully random and comprehensive selection of restaurant and home dishes, cookware, baskets, paper plates/napkins, glassware, basic spices, jams, tablecloths, trash cans, sponges, brooms... sigh. Soo much to love, at reasonable prices - decent for everything, with some real bargains mixed in.
This store is like an olde time hardware store, complete with the wooden floors. Love it. Lots of all kinds of glasses, plates, bowls and kitchen gadgets for cooking baking and storage. Lots of shelves for of surprises!! So much fun!
So many freaking awesome things I love this place so much. Everything is awesome I want to purchase this entire store.
Good bargains.
Quirky selection of inexpensive housewares. If you have really specific ideas about what you want dont bother, but if you just need to set up a basic kitchen without breaking the bank this will get the job done.
I love China Fair, although it is hard to describe.
Everything to keep anything in. Much cheaper than The Container Store, and more accessible than Ikea. If you are a devotee of pour-over coffee, you need to check out their selection.
Great, inexpensive and high quality. You can find almost any kitchen knick knack. Check out the basement!
The owner is a praiseworthy man. He lent me a wrench. Meaning he went to his his van with me, gave me a wrench, and trusted me to come back with it the first time I entered the store! When you have compassionate leadership from the top, you know employees will exercise their best dilligence in serving your needs. Moreover, you have a one-stop-shop for affordably filling out your kitchen.
Not just China! This site is your independent William Sonoma. Find all the kitchen items a chef needs. Kuhn veg peelers, commercial pots and pans, reasonable glassware....
Great selection of kitchen and serving plateware, glassware, and utensils for super cheap
Next to our house. This place is very convenient. It saved our cooking lives a couple of times.
China Fair is an interesting and frankly quite unique store nested just a few steps away from Porter Square, right on Mass ave. This two-storied store offers up all-things kitchenware, flatware, cooking ware, bakeware and various others things including cutlery, storage items and even restaurant supplies. From plates, water carafes, tea pots or martini glasses to siltpats, rice cookers and numerous items, my trip there with the wife was quite enjoyable as we perused through every single nook and cranny in search of random thing to help upgrade our current kitchen situation.Best of all, the service is friendly, the prices are great and their selection top notch. The only downside, is that youll most likely need a bit of help to find what you need - theres stuff all over the place and its not always organized logically.
China Fair is a good go-to place when you dont have time to wait for orders from online sources, or to hike out to Restaurant Depot. They have a wide variety of very plain white chinaware at decent prices (but not truly wholesale), and a good emergency section for when you need three more half sheet bun pans. NOW. They offer a professional discount on the china *only*; nothing else.Downstairs they have an odd selection of basketware, and an excellent and affordable selection of plastics. This is absolutely my goto place for squeeze bottles. The staff is, well...older. Theyre not going to help an awful lot. They have a younger staff person who is usually there who does most of the heavy lifting and carting, should you need help to a vehicle.
Nice owners. Great products esp in bulk for businesses at great rates.
Awful experience, never again! I bought a cake pan for my sons birthday which was deffected. I poured the batter in and it leaked! Staff was rude and refused to accept an exchange/return. I complained to manufacture and received a new pan in less than a week.
I’m so glad I found this store. They have so many glass selections. Things I normally can’t find anywhere else.
Huge selection of flatware, glassware, and cooking equipment at reasonable prices.
I love getting lost in the huge amount of kitchen tools & plates this place offers. Even when I dont buy anything it always provides inspiration :)
Could they at least sweep the floors? I thought it would be a bargain but I did better at Homegoods.
Quiet and full of cheap kitchen supplies... I found cheesecloth and strainers that I couldnt find anywhere else!
Great place to get housewares and things for entertaining.
