A lovely shop where you can take your time walking around the isles back and forth, looking at all the great products. Stopped by today and spent about half an hour browsing and shopping. Whenever I had a question, the nice lady at the counter was very helpful. I asked if they had a smaller bottle of one of the nutrients that came in 32oz bottles, which they did not. Still, she was awesome enough to offer me a free trial size bottle of a competitive brand that offered the same nutrient.

The owner, or person usually manning the counter is extremely knowledgeable. I usually have a ton of questions when I call or go in and hes always very willing and able to help out. Because of him I have happy little plants in my home garden. Prices are comparable, and sometimes a bit more than Amazons. But the input and knowledge the service associate provided you, along with the sale, is invaluable. Well worth the visit.

I frequently visit GYOstuff for a variety of different gardening projects and needs. I appreciate that they carry a wide selection of products for anything from watering a single potted plant to building a large scale hydroponics system, and the place is always packed with new and interesting products. For larger hydroponics components, they can be quite competitive on price as they take combined deliveries, and you can custom order anything from the catalogs of their suppliers. I also really appreciate being able to walk in and see their selections of tubing and fittings and measure or test fit it to something. Great store for anyone interested in more technical gardening methods.

Wonderful helpful staff who are also very knowledgeable about their products and the process of growing your own. They do not push anything on you and will keep you to your budget. When I purchased an organic fertilizer, the price was less than it was on the shelf and the manager congratulated me on the savings! They have even given me a consultation over the phone when this newbie had questions about her plants development and their info was spot on!They have everything you need under one roof. They even have a free parking lot in the back - a real miracle in Cambridge.

Won’t be going back. Only person in shop with my kids. Looking for two fill and drain media beds, pumps, etc. Was told they don’t sell complete units but all the parts were available separately. Basically you are fending for yourself. Walked around and around not sure what I am looking for. Couldn’t even see media beds! As I had kids with me bought a couple of things so it looks like we’re moving forwards. Got to the counter to pay and said I couldn’t even see media beds and was told, “what size? We have those out back.” Surely if someone’s looking for bits and this is an essential part you might want to tell them you have them out of sight???

Love this store! I have a rooftop garden in Boston and have found lots of great items last fall to extend gardening season into the winter. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have the best ideas for maximizing gardening in small spaces! Our roof deck plants are thriving and we’re going to have a great harvest – all thanks to GYO!

This store is AWESOME! I wanted to start a small vegetable garden but had no idea where to begin. Unlike other stores and large home improvement centers, the employees at GYO Stuff were genuinely interested in what I wanted to accomplish. The guy that helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything in simple terms that even I could relate to.This week, Ill be transplanting my baby plants outdoors and they look wonderful - all thanks to GYO. I am thoroughly enjoying this new-found hobby and will definitely be back as my garden takes shape. This year, I WILL have tomatoes that look better than my neighbors! :)

Ive purchased my lighting from GYO about a year ago. Unfortunately, things did not go so well and I was disappointed with the results. Eli swiftly resolve my issue and replaced my lights faster than I expected. From making deliveries to running the store Eli is truly dedicated to his customers.

As a novice, I discovered GYOSTUFF via the web. What a wonderful shop! I was warmly greeted upon entering and allowed to wander about without someone standing right next to me. An incredible variety of supplies and set-ups for the amatuer like me all the way to professional growers. My questions were answered in a professional, friendly and helpful way. I not only found what I needed, but enjoyed the interaction as well. The owner was willing to be helpful and share his extensive knowledge on lighting, nutrition, etc. There are also quite a lot of other equipment and related products in the store (and on the web page). The focus is definitely on growing cannabis, but regardless of what youre growing this is the place to shop for all your indoor plants needs. They have a great selection of nutrients, containers, grow media, pest solutions, etc. at competitive prices.

GYOstuff is a very interesting store - very unique, that caters to a pretty niche market as it specializes in trying to help you grow your own food in your yard or indoors. Its a fairly new concept to most and can be achieved pretty easily if you have the right equipment, technique and execution. From bell peppers to tomatoes and classics like basil, cilantro and mint. You can and should be able to do it on a pretty small (or large) scale with a bit of money and work.Personally, I went there because I wanted to take my basil plant to the next level. I wanted to be able to get a much higher yield out of the plant and also made sure that it survived the harsh, sunless winter.However I had some budgetary constraints and instead of getting anything fancy, the staff recommended this thing called a Grobal (made in Japan) which enables one to easily store and maintain plants of various sizes. The Grobal was pretty affordable, came with nutrients - although we had to buy more since - and has different sizes which is nice in case you have smaller or larger plants. The staff took the time to explain how it worked and fast forward nearly a year and our basil is absolutely striving! To a point where our guests often go home with some. Its fantastic and knowing that well never have to buy basil at the grocery store again is also kind of nice since ours is fresher and better!But in case you were more serious and really wanted to get into hydroponics, they have everything else that you might need. From growing lights to drip systems, fans, seeds, you name it! Just dont go in there thinking that theyll help you try to grow anything illegal.The staff is very knowledgable, friendly and their store is actually pretty neat. I definitely recommend it and will be back for more Grobals in the future so I can expand from just basil to cilantro, mint and possibly tomatoes.
