Bought good quality hay for a reasonable amount. The help is friendly and loads your truck. Always a pretty Ranch and a fun drive to middle Verde.
F you love your horse, dont board him here. We boarded our very healthy gelding with them, and in a little over a month he was skin and bones. Apparently there was a problem with him fighting with other geldings, so they separated him and put him into a field with no grass. They finally notified us of the problem, due to him having a very swollen fetlock, and the vet needing to be called. When we got to the farm to inspect our horse we found him with not only a swollen leg, but also bites all over him, ribs and hip bones showing through his skin. We estimate he had lost about 300 lbs since being placed there. It was at this point they told us we needed to find another place to board himIt was the middle of the month, and they had been paid for the full month, so we asked for a partial refund. At first they agreed to the refund, then called us and said they wouldnt be refunding us, due to having to pay someone $15 an hour to round him up from the pasture, having to have someone with him when the vet and farrier saw him, and keeping him in a stall for two days until he could be transported somewhere else?? All of which were not charges written into their contract. We were also told that they had been giving him the medication that the vet prescribed for his swollen fetlock, however, when we got the medications, from them, the bottles hadnt even been opened. We are very very disappointed with the care our horse received here. We trusted them to care for our horse as we would care for him, instead they let him be injured and did nothing while his condition deteriorated to skin and bones.
Thank you Nashua owners and staff for coming to the aid of my wife after her unfortunate horse accident.Although my wife did not see the owner of the horse, his very gracious wife took her to the hospital immediately, stayed with her well into the late hours of the night, fetched and carried for her weeks later, did all the driving to get chores and errands done.Thank you to the owners of Nashua who got her vehicle safely home and then checked in on her every day after that. And then to the staff - who cared so very much about the welfare of our horse!A heartfelt and sincere thank you to all - we are truly humbled by your friendship.
Is a great place for the family, the entrance fee is 2 dollars
Stayed a week visiting a freind and it was a very intresting visit as never had stayed that close to horses. Was such an experience to watch all that goes into keeping horses. The nights where so peaceful only broken with some horse conversion and kicking of the stables. Really enjoyed my stay.
Best boarding I have ever had my horse loves it there management and staff are great
Please beware! We witnessed many disturbing incidents at Nashwa. If you care for your horse, please perform due diligence. Personal attacks do not change the facts.I would like to thank the management at NASHWA for their thoughtful response. They inadvertently demonstrate the very points I wish to make. Their ad hominem attacks (completely untrue) coupled with several errors in grammar, punctuation, and syntax demonstrate to all, the caliber of the limited individuals one must deal with, when speaking with the management at NASHWA,-------yall.
Amazing facility with awesome staff. Cant wait to be a part and start training horses here and working alongside these amazing people.
People were friendly. The alfalfa is reasonably priced and my horses loved it.
They have grass hay, wheat, and alfalfa.
My husband and I both have horses at Nashwa Farms. The staff is so helpful. They really are aware of the condition of every horse in their care. The place is immaculate! It really is horse heaven with all the green pastures.
Staff was very helpful and nice. Have the most beautiful views and pastures.
