Rick took my 9 year old mountain bike and transformed it! He is incredibly knowledgeable, fast, detail oriented, and reasonably priced. He talked me through all the options and set me up with a fast, reliable, robust system - all without me having to buy a new bike. His general enthusiasm and kindness in answering every little question was just outstanding - and his work was clean and tight. He even did things like tighten and adjust brakes, because with the power of a 1500W motor pushing you along you also need good stopping power. Rick converted a hybrid bike I use for commuting and did a great job. I comparison shopped for quite a while before going here. The price was excellent, especially for the battery size and quality of the motor. Rick is also very knowledgeable and friendly. After 200 miles on the new setup, I would highly recommended!

Rick converted my Specialized road bike to an e-bike. Im new to e-bikes and while I was gathering info about e-bike conversions and deciding whether to move ahead, Rick was VERY helpful, spending time on the phone with me at length answering all sorts of questions in detail about batteries, different types of conversion kits, performance, etc. Rick was patient, never pushy, and he was thorough. The first time I rode one of Rix s E-Bikes I was hooked. I almost could not believe an engine not powered by gas could be so powerful. The best part was the bike wasnt load! It was amazing. I probably was going 60 mph. He also will take regular bikes & convert them into an E-Bike. Maybe Ill have him do that to my bike..... :)

I have trouble with the big hills in my area. Rix Rydes built me the perfect bike! Its fast, comfortable and makes hills melt before me! All that and it cost way less than i thought it would! Do yourself a favor and talk to Rix Rydes before you buy, Im sure glad I did!

Let me start by saying that Rick patiently helped me work through an ebike build that was started by another builder, which had significant problems. His expertise helped me to fully recover the project to its original design intention.This project was started with the desire to replicate, to the extent practical, the seat of the pants feel of a quality motor cross bike.The donor for the project was a mid-90s era Santa Cruz Heckler. The frame design is not friendly for mounting high capacity batteries, but Rick found a way to get 52v, 13.4 amp hour battery solidly installed.During the install process Rick discovered that my controller was not compatible with the selected battery, nor was the firmware of the controller upgradable.Rather than inform me that I would have to replace the battery or the controller, Rick generously gave me HIS controller, which luckily for me had been modified to allow more power to be applied to the motor.The results of this fix allowed me to fully realize an ebike that will pull roll on wheelies under its own power.Mission complete.Ricks dedication to customer service and excellence in craftsmanship has made me a life long customer who is looking forward to the next project with Rick.Lance Remington

Rick is such a capable guy and so passionate about getting people hooked on ebikes. He will set you up quickly and follow up with outstanding service. Anything goes wrong, hell come fix it. He orders bulk from overseas so prices are similar to online DIY sellers, yet you dont have to figure out how to install and fix it yourself.
