An awesome fly shop for gear and for local knowledge. Nick was very helpful and told and out-of-Towner like myself where to go get on some rainbows. Looking forward to setting up a guided tour with this outfit.

Our 3/4 day trip on the Guadalupe was cancelled due to the big snowstorm that occurred in February. I got on the phone with ReelFly and they were so great about rescheduling the trip, whenever it suited us best. We were just able to get out on the water with them this past weekend, and we had such a great time. We went out with Tyler, who was determined to make sure we caught something, even though conditions were very windy and cold! He let us wade and fish from the boat, and gave me some great tips as I am new to fly fishing. Cant wait for more trips with them in the near future.

Very professional service and we had a great time on the water with Paul and Reel Fly. Paul had everything ready to go early (6am) as we tried to beat the heat; a fun personality and was very attentive to my young anglers. Id highly recommend! Well be rebooking for this Fall.

Family gave me a bucket list gift of a 1/2 day fly fishing trip on the Guadalupe with a friend. We two rookies met the Reelfly team at their shop in Sattler. After boarding our boat with the guide and a short lesson we started fishing. Even late in the season we caught two nice rainbow trout. A great trip with beautiful scenery (on a part of the river few can access) came all together on this fun day.Highly recommend a Reelfly trip if this is on your bucket list.

From first scheduling through wrapping up our day on the river they were a class act. Original trip had to be postponed due to Covid19, rescheduling was a breeze. Our day out on the River with Cody (our guide) was great. He is very personable and fun to be around. He put us on fish immediately after boarding his boat. Through the day we were on fish regularly. My friend Spencer setup a 1/2 day float trip for us on the Guadalupe River and man oh man was it a good time. Our incredible guide, Daniel, not only had incredible patience with me (first time with a fly rod), but he got both Spencer and me into some rainbow trout and had a cool even keel through the trip providing both great advice and tips as well as lots of knowledge about the area, the sport, and all the nature thats apart of it. I will definitely be reaching back out to Daniel and Reel Fly to book additional trips (were coming for you Devils River and Gulf Coast!).

Scheduled a last minute trip as I needed a little break from work. Im also scheduled to take a fly fishing trip to Montana in a few weeks so I thought this would provide some good experience. It was just Brent (owner/guide) and myself. Brent made it easy. We caught several large Rainbow Trout over 20 inches, Brown Trout, Perch and I missed a Small Mouth Bass he put me on.I woke up this morning knowing almost nothing about fly fishing a river and will go to sleep tonight feeling more than prepared for my trip to Montana in a few weeks.Thanks Brent for a great morning on the water. Im looking forward to going again soon!

I have kayaked the Guadalupe River beneath Canyon Lake many many times but had never fished it, so I recently signed up for a half day guided raft trip with Brent Hodges. We left the shop promptly at 8 AM the next day and the fully equipped raft was already sitting in the water waiting for us to go. I dont have much skill so I lost some big fish but did catch a few fat rainbows. I also saw lots of big trout at the surface. It was a beautiful day the river was gorgeous and it seemed to be filled with hungry fish! Brent has the perfect personality for teaching beginners. He seems happy to do all the chores like changing out flies or removing tangles and is very passionate about the sport. I had a great experience catching trout and definitely would highly recommend a guided trip through Reelfly. This is now my third successful trip with Brent. I had previously fished both the Devils River and Port Oconner with Reelfly and caught lots of fish.

Employees are helpful and friendly. And instead of trying to bs me, will say that where I am going is outside of their expertise.
