Received a tattoo today and I couldn’t be happier! The artist was a very cool guy and he is so very talented! The tattoo he gave me went above and beyond than anything I ever had in my mind! Every single person from the apprenticed to the artist teaching are completely professional and so very passionate about the work they’ve doing. Gotten two other tattoos by them when in town. Scheduled an appointment in April for June 1st for when I would be in town. I live 16 hrs away only to be told the appointment I had scheduled couldnt be honored because the artist decided to leave town. No notice given until time of appointment. Then told me they could in no way get me in the remainder of the week to make up for their scheduling error. No worries, got referred to black velvet tattoo. Told them what happened and they cleared a spot and got me in immediately. Will be going there from now on!

My wife and I went to get our first tattoos here and everybody was really nice. Our tatoo artist named Cameron made sure to show us how clean everything was and how the needles were packaged and new. We want to come back in the future to get more done!

Me and my husband went in for our anniversary. We were both first timers and Cameron and Mack were amazing to us. They got us done at the same time. They were so professional, really good at making us feel relaxed and calm. My nerves were more rattled than my husbands. They were both very excited and sent a lot of encouraging and good vibes. Everything was clean. The pricing was very good. Super reasonable. We were a little late showing up to our appointments but they didnt give us any trouble about that, they didnt rush to make up for lost time and still got us done quickly. Cant wait to go back and get more work done!

I went to a different drummer a few weeks ago to get my tongue repierced after having to take mine out due to a car wreck and needing different scans done. I didnt catch the piercers name, however he was extremely nice and answered all of the questions I had. The guy who assisted me when I first got there was also really helpful and incredibly nice. The shop is exceptionally clean. I will definitely be going back to get other work done. My tongue healed quickly and the swelling only lasted a couple days. While I was being prepped for the piercing I was extremely nervous, but it was done so quickly and very little pain. Had little afterwards and no issues at all. I highly recommend A Different Drummer if you want to get any work done.

I set 2 appointments with Chris, one on the 9th and 1 today, no phone call...nothing! He didnt show up! Rumor has it he does this to alot of people, you need to step your game up and show up and do what you say youre going to! I would not recommend this man to anyone.

Mikey did my dandelion tattoo on my calf. He was super friendly and did an amazing job. And because I had to wait a little longer than intended, he gave me a discount.My tattoo is about 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide. It took him about an hour. He charged $80.Its been 7 months since I got my tattoo, and it still looks amazing!I definitely recommend Different Drummer!

Took my fifteen year old daughter there to get her ears pierced.The business is clean and quiet. They walked my daughter through the procedure, marked the lobes and asked her if the location was correct. The woman who did the job was gentle and patient with her. They gave us clear, written directions how to treat her new piercings, which are nickel free.Go there, not the mall!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH MIKEY. The shop is decent but don’t bother wasting your time by getting tattooed by Mikey. He will string you around and continuously post pone your tattoo. There’s nothing more considerate than a tattoo artist that puts you off for walk ins and wastes your time. His work is good but his customer service is terrible and not worth it. Go to someone else who actually values you as a customer.

I went to get a piercing (belly button) and they got me in as soon as possible. I got in, she marked my belly button, she had me look to see if I liked where it was, laid me down on the chair, and she did the piercing. It turned out perfectly even and the whole experience took about 5 minutes top. I totally recommend this place for any piercing. Going for a tattoo next and cant wait :))

Very professional, clean environment. I went in yesterday (March 25, 2018) and got my nipples pierced ($50 for both). The woman who pierced me was AMAZING! The process went so quick and smooth.. I didnt even bleed! Contrary to what ive heard, so far my healing process is fantastic! I have my belly button and tongue pierced, this healing process is by far the most comfortable.I highly recommend A Different Drummer Tattoo!

My best friend and i came to different drummer for the first time and got bff tatts! The place is VERY CLEAN! The receptionist/piercer is very firm but absolutely sweet as gold! Loved her! Our tattoo artist BIKE was AMAZING! I plan to get more done by him VERY SOON! He is very lite handed and makes it as painless as possible! I also LOVED that he played the old school rap in his station! The only downside i could see was if u want to do a walk in.... The wait can be hours but the wait is MORE THAN WORTH IT! Love you guys!!!!

I took my daughter to get her smiley pierced on 4/29. I called the day before to inquire about the price and ask if an appointment was needed. The young man on the phone told me no appointment was needed and the piercing was $30.00. After my daughter and her friend were pierced we were told it was $40.00. Seemed an awful lot like a bait and switch to me. When I called the day before I specified what my daughter wanted pierced. I would not have given 2 stars but she had a good experience getting her naval pierced a few months ago with a different piercer. They are clean and sanitary. I would recommend triple checking the price.

I wasnt sure how many stars to give this place because I had 2 very different experiences at this facility in a short amount of time. A few months ago I went in with a friend to get both of our septums pierced; the brunette lady who did our piercings was incredibly nice. My friend got a little sick after being pierced and the piercer got her a damp towel and let her rest. She never made her feel silly for her reaction and was just genuinely kind and funny. She told us both that the first time we need our jewelry changed she would do it for free and after that it would be $5.About 5 days after I got it pierced one of the little balls fell off of my nose ring and Different Drummer was closed. I tried to wait until the next day to go in and get it put back on but my nose ring ended up falling out. Luckily, I had already purchased some additional jewelry to wear once I could change them out; I was able to get a clicker ring in my nose to wear in the mean time. When I decided to put the horseshoe ring back in I still couldnt get the ball on so I went over to Different Drummer.When I walked in the 2 guys at the counter were very nice to me. They were friendly and talked to me while I waited for someone to be available to help me get the ball back on my ring. After a minute or so a woman with silver hair came out and I greeted her kindly and asked her if she could help me. She said yeah then turned her back to me and walked off into a room. I followed her unsure if she was ready for me yet. All she had to do was put a little ball back on my ring. Before I could even say anything to her she immediately started defensively lecturing me about how I need to tighten the ends on my jewelry or else they will fall off. She spoke very coldly and treated me like I was stupid.I began trying to make light of the situation by making fun of myself for not being able to get it back on myself. I mentioned that I had to put a clicker in it for a while. While I was talking to her she pinched my nose and started working on my jewelry without warning me. While doing that she told me that this was going to cost $10 cash. I told her that the woman who had pierced me told me that the 1st time I needed it changed it would be free. The woman snapped at me saying that since I had put a clicker in my nose then this is not the 1st time my ring is being changed. I thought that was ridiculous, but I told her I would go get cash to give her anyways. She then angrily said no, just dont worry about it. I thanked her and she didnt respond. I walked out with a smile on my face and said good bye to the guys working the counter. But then I got to my car and felt embarrassed and angry that I let someone talk to me like that.I think its ridiculous that just because I was forced to change my jewelry on my own before coming in that it would disqualify me from a free replacement I was told I would get, but I was willing to pay it anyways because Im just not an argumentative person. And I wasnt going to argue with her whether it was $5 or $10 because I thought maybe I had misheard the piercer I saw in my first visit. After this experience I went over to the house of my friend that had gotten pierced with me. She confirmed for me that we had been told that it would be $5 but the 1st time would be free.Either way, there was absolutely no need for her to talk to me the way that she did. She was immediately defensive although I had not said or done anything to make her believe that I was upset with her.I hate to boycott a place just because of one person; the rest of the staff that I have encountered have been so incredibly nice. But I absolutely do not want to ever face this rude woman again. I read through some of the other reviews on here and it seems that, while there are only just a few negative ones, they appear to be about her. If you ask me she is bad for business.

I surprised my daughter on her 22nd birthday Feb. 11th with matching tattoos of my deceased mothers (her grandmother) signature...Corey is the artist that done them. I recommend him to everyone that wants a tattoo...He does an amazing job (also nice to look at)...Thank you Corey for making time and making this special for us...

Ive been going here to get piercings ever since I came down for school. Heather and Morgan have given me septum and industrial piercings, as well as a prince albert. Totally cool people and a great experience.

I havent gotten any tattoos here yet, but I did hear a lot of good reviews about the tattoo artists here. I once got my belly button pierced at a different tattoo shop, and it ended up creating a bigger hole in my belly button and eventually ripping. Once it healed, I went to A Different Drummer and they were able to repierce it under the scar tissue and it lasted for quite some time! I just might have to pay another visit here.

I went there to get my ears pierced and they got me in as soon as possible. The woman was very kind and marked my lobes and asked me if they were where I wanted them to be. The whole process took about 5 minutes and she gave me clear instructions on how to clean them. Would definitely recommend this over the mall.

I went there to get a piercing replaced and they did absolutely horrible. The piercer dropped the earring and lost it, couldnt get a new earring on, and blamed it all on the person who had previously pierced it. I would recommend going somewhere else. The woman was extremely rude the entire time; I would go somewhere else for a piercing.

Went to get daith piercings and staff was friendly caring and showed concern with any and all questions. Also after you heal they will replace it with any other jewelry of your choice if you just bring it in. Makes it easier for you.
