I went into the Carbondale store today with the intent on buying one of the sectionals. I just needed to make sure you had one in stock. The lady at the cash register in the furniture Department kept saying Ill be there in a minute Ill be there in a minute. Before she could get to us a couple walked up and asked questions and they were talking. She had her phone out and was showing them something on her phone. Talking about taking a cruise or a trip to Nigeria. Then they got on the conversation about being vaccinated. We were there for a good 20 minutes 30 minutes and they just kept talking. I had every intention of buying the sectional. So she cost your store a good $2,000.

Nice merchandise. Not garbage. Decent variety of things. Some similar items were in several locations so make sure to look around because things are arriving and moving around all the time. Some good deals, some same prices as regular stores. If you know price points and brands you can find a good deal.

It took forever to be waited on but I understand that they were short staffed. As soon as Jessica was able to get to us, she had us in taken care of in a matter of minutes. Kudos to Jessica and the cashier for working yesterday! They are the sweetest!!!!

They didnt have a lot of things like they normally do. Although there are a lot of places like that with empty shelves nowadays. I did find a couple of things I liked there but did not see anything that I really wanted to buy as far as furniture goes.

When I lived in FL I had multiple choices for Biglots stores. Here in S.Illinois there are 2 choices an hour apart. That being said youd think theyd make every effort to make the store even better. I rarely go any more. Prices are higher than Walmart just down the block, supplies are sketchy and just very poor.

Always find amazing items and the greatest deals. Clearance is always good and plenty which shows regular rotation of product! Love this place, one of my favorite stores in town!

I am beyond frustrated. I bought a couch from here in November. It was a good price and the salesperson was very helpful and nice. I was so excited. She told me that my couch should be in in 1-2 weeks, 4-6weeks tops, when I bought it. Totally fine. After the first month I was a little nervous but not too upset because she had said “worst case scenario” it would take 4 weeks. It got to 6 weeks, which she said it shouldn’t take that long, I called for the first time. Just so happened to be the salesperson who sold me the couch. She said she remembered me and wasn’t sure why they hadn’t gotten any of those couches in but I should definitely get it by that Friday or the next. Nothing. I call again once it’s been two months. I’m sent back to furniture 6 times before anyone picks up. I’m told a truck is coming in the next day and it looks like my couch is on the truck but either way I will get a call, to be told if my couch comes or doesn’t. I’m also told that if it doesn’t come, I’ll be able to do a return over the phone. Next day comes. Nothing. I call again. Nothing. No couch. I ask to do a return and they say they can’t do that over the phone.All I wanted was a couch.

Big Lots has everything from table lamps to floor lamps. They have furniture, couches, love seats, recliners, beds, and much more. I love going in here. We buy our household items from here. Staff is very polite and professional.. Theyve food etc. as well..

Cant wait for them to get their fall stuff out! Cute stuff and affordable prices.

The cashier lady was so rude to my special needs child. We thought about buying furniture but I was so disappointed we didnt do it. Management should really work on there employees if they want to keep business.

Normally I enjoy my big lots experience but today was not one of those days. (I will not use names although I probably should)When we purchased a corner sofa less than a year ago, we brought it home only to find the pieces didnt fit like the ones on display in the store. As a busy working family, it was a week before we brought it up to biglots furniture. They allowed us to exchange the piece that didnt fit right and all was good for a while. Fast forward to today when my wife went in to see about a warranty issue on the couch. As I said the couch is less than a year old and still under warranty. When she talked to the lady in the furniture, she was told they wouldnt exchange it because one side was previously exchanged. My wife told her that she has done this before with a different furniture set we purchased about 4 years ago and told her the name of the guy who did it. The lady told my wife that they have never had a guy with that name there before and basically called my wife a liar. Much to the associates surprised, my wife pulled the paper work up on her account an low and behold there was the salesmans name. It was who my wife said it was but did the lady apologize or say she was wrong? No, she did not! She did however concede about exchanging it due to the defected broken down pieces. Which is still under warranty! She told my wife that there was one left in the back and she would exchange it with that one. Because I was at work, I couldnt get the furniture returned until this evening. After loading up the furniture and driving it to the store, I went through the same issues with the guy at the store. I explained my wife had already been through this with his coworker and she had told us to bring it in to exchange it. He said she didnt tell him anything about it. He then left and came back to tell me he called his coworker who told him she didnt say those things. Frustrated at this point, I asked for the manager to try solve this without causing a scene. I was told he will be in tomorrow. Therefore, I had bring my broken furniture thats still under warranty back home. I will see if management can make this right.Update: 2 days later, I talked with the manager. He was polite, understanding and a lot better to do business with. He exchanged it with no problem.

I got most of my new furniture and am very happy with the service i received by the employees as well as the product!

Love this place for trying new healthy snacks! Reasonably priced to try this is delicious and 1.90 - 2.00 a bag not bad for healthy!

Love the different products I find here and at times really good buys. The lady who checked us out was very sweet but dare I say granny might need a valum.

They are well organized and you can find anything from milk, diapers, cold meds, beautiful decorative items to furniture.

Lady floor worker screamed at me for fixing my mask. I was carrying my 6 month old granddaughter and she likes to pull on it and this lady literally screamed at me from 2 isles away like I was a misbehaving 2 year old

Great store to find items you dont always find at other places. Always have good end of season sales too. If you see something you want get it as it might not be there the next time you go. Stock is always changing. Good place for pet supplies.

Had a rare experience of great customer service that you dont see a lot of now days in a lot of stores. The associate, when questioned, lead me & mother to the place where she thought the object that we were looking for was located & helped us to go through the many different styles to find the one we were looking for, & when we didnt find it, she took us to another section of the store & helped us to look again through the styles & sizes to find the specific one & we found it. It was much appreciated!!

Way too high on prices, same thing way cheaper at Wal-Mart. And their furniture, super expensive.

We had a great time shopping here. My wife generally hates shopping but she loved how the halloween and thanksgiving items were on the shelves. The kids enjoyed the toys. The prices are great. We couldnt stop smelling all of the scented candles. The store needs updating however and maybe a fresh coat of paint. Its a little grungy.

Fun store to shop at. They sell items that have been closed out from other stores and they also sell their own line of furniture. Friendly staff and you can almost always find a good deal to leave the store with. Fun store!

Found what i was looking for at a good price

The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and with getting our purchase done especially when it came to getting payments going on a bunk bed that was purchased and helping getting it loaded into a vehicle. Thank you for your help! I forgot his name but he wrestles too so I want to give him a big thank you for helping us! It really meant a lot!

If stocking up on staples at clearance prices is your thing, Big Lots is for you. The selection is hit or miss, but I can mostly find what I was expecting on every trip. Great place for school supplies and their furniture is not bad either.

Good store to shop for all variety of products. Especially seasonal products. Children love this store! Great finds to decorate a home, dorm room, etc.

I found the perfect table in black with 3 drawers for 65 inch tv plus a really nice lazy boy chair that rocks and reclines. 15% off sale. I am extremely happy with big lots!!!!!

This place is a jackpot for inexpensive furniture that lasts. It may not be the best quality but this place is definitely a great place to start when youre just starting out. I havent and wouldnt shop here for anything else besides furniture.

I purchased an area rug and asked for assistance in loading it into my car.This is before the holiday season. There were no other customers in line and there were 3 staff personnel standing and chatting at the customer service counter. The young lady cashier was very nice and said, of course. When turned and asked the gentleman if he could help me, he rolled his eyes, sighed and said, only if you pull up right by the front doors.I am disabled, in a wheelchair with a service dog.Shocked, I said, Nevermind. I will figure it out. Thanks anyway.The young lady followed me out and helped me put the rug in my car. She apologized for the mans rudeness.
