If I could give them 10 stars I would. Yesterday I took a scuba diving review class since I haven’t dive in over 15 years and let me tell you I loved it. Michaela at the front desk/retail she’s amazing. Excellent customer service skills and my instructor was highly skilled . I recommend them 100%. Great job guys

Everything from the instructors and the shop staff down to the equipment selection and everything in between... nothing short of awesome. I cant recommend this place enough. I did my Dive Master course here, and everyone was so helpful, friendly, and really made me feel like part of the community.Also, very cool that they have a pool on-site, and a permanent pavilion at scuba ranch for lake weekends, making courses very convenient and accessible.

I just went through the open water scuba certification. I had some pretty major anxiety to work through on a couple of the days and the instructors, Mike and David, were amazing to help me work through it! When I needed it they were more than happy to help me one on one until I felt comfortable. Would definitely recommend, especially for anyone a little nervous to go diving.

If you want excellent training in the DFW area, international scuba is where to go. As someone who had no prior drive experience before, they recommend what equipment to buy and answered all of my questions promptly. Michaela is was more than helpful in answering all and any questions I had throughout the process(many). My instructor Troy was very helpful, calm, and inviting. He was constantly making sure I got the best experience I could while helping me learn. Once I was ready for the open water portion of my training, it was awesome to see how warming everyone was at Scuba Ranch. On my first day of they treated me like I had been there for years and I was their family. Truly couldn’t have asked for any more in a dive shop. If you want to have an amazing experience with training, and a great group of friends and mentors after, international scuba is the place to go.

After a horrific attempt at earning my Open Water certification in California I was certain that I would never get in the water again. After some soul searching I decided to contact some dive shops here in Dallas. After telling Rich my story, he and International SCUBA staff made me feel comfortable and made me believe I could do it. I had a wonderful instructor and the support of the entire shop. I completed my open water certification on 1/19/19 with confidence! I now have 200 dives and I am a PADI Dive Master, pursuing my PADI instructor certification. They gave me the confidence and skills to achieve what I thought to be the impossible. Thank you Rich and the entire IS Dive Tribe!

Amazing experience getting certified! I highly recommend going with them. Theyre very attentive. I had extra difficulty with clearing my ears, and my dive instructor stayed to help and talk me through it for the next time. Super nice people! They also have a pool which makes getting certified even easier. I also really liked how if you buy your gear with them and if during certification you have a problem, theyll refund it or in my case, let me exchange it out for a different mask (paying the difference).

The instructors for the course (Mike K and Mike G) were genuinely interested in diving and were committed teaching me how to be self sufficient when setting up my gear, safe while diving, and to maximize my enjoyment underwater.

I scuba dived in the 70s and 80s and then took about 30 years off. Decided to get re-certified by PADI and chose International Scuba here in Carrollton because of the great reviews. I learned a lot and hopefully corrected some bad habits. The instructor Leora and Dive Master Matt were excellent. Class size 5 with 2 instructors including Matt. They were very accommodating with my open water dive as I had a conflict. Would highly recommend them and look forward to diving with them.

I first came to International Scuba visiting from out of state. The staff and owner welcomed me and made me feel like I belonged there. Over the past few years, I have joined the instructional staff and have seen the passion that everyone puts into planning and safety for each class, and the overall training that is provided. Its not uncommon to hear an instructor say that Safety is #1 but Fun is a close #2, and they mean it. Scuba should be fun and they make it easy to have a fun time.Ive formed many life-long friendships through the shop and love being a part of the IS DIve Tribe. Great experience! I got my open water certification with Matt and I couldnt have asked for a better instructor. He was very patient and made it fun while keeping us safe and comfortable. All the other instructors who helped out in class and at the lake are great as well. 10/10 :)

My son & I took a refresher class as it has been a few years since weve been able to dive. Kevin S was our instructor and he was amazing. Patient, caring, informative and kind. He made the experience fun (even the book review). The price was also the best we could find in the DFW area. I highly recommend International Scuba and Kevin S!!

Great Dive shop and great instructors for my open water certification. Leora, Mike and Divemaster Matt take a safety first approach, walking you through all the basic skills in class, in the pool, and finally in open water. They are patient, but want you to clearly demonstrate the skills and wont cut corners when it comes to safety. I would liken the OW certification to a learners permit, you learn enough to keep you and your buddy safe at medium depth, but there is so much more to learn after certification and the IS community supports that continued education (and fun) after your first dive. Great shop.

I just received my OW and drysuit certification from here. Everyone was super helpful and nice. I was a bit nervous for the class, but the trainers were extremely patient and great at explaining what you needed to do. I will definitely return for future classes.

I have taken several professional level courses at International Scuba and have been impressed EVERY SINGLE TIME! When it comes to everything you want in a dive shop, International Scuba checks off all the boxes. From time to time I hang out at the dive shop signature Deco Lounge and socialize with dive shop employees and regular customers. Its a great atmosphere and place to hang out to swap dive trip stories and diving experiences in general. Ive gone on dive shop sponsored trips with International Scuba and they are off the hook!Im astonished at the review below by Brian Woodward. I have a feeling theres much more to that story that Brian Woodward isnt sharing! Sort of comical that he originally obviously gave a very positive review and then took it back. Notice the old Thank You reply from the owner when the original review was posted. Anyway, take it from me and the many, many other people that have posted positive reviews for International Scuba, ITS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT FROM A DIVE SHOP! International Scuba is a very busy and progressive dive shop that focuses of providing outstanding, safe, by the book training. They dont hand out certifications just because you paid your money. Instead they really seem to pride themselves on making people really good and safe divers and will offer remedial training if needed. I also like how they limit their class sizes to 6 divers. Ive seen some places that have crazy amounts of students all in one class. I have to question how good of quality dive education students get in that sort of environment.I also think its really cool because International Scuba has their own swimming pool. You get to do everything right there at the dive shop, until its time to go to the lake to do check out dives.Keep up the great work International Scuba. I just completed my Open Water Certification and a Peak Preformance Bouyancy class at a scuba lake this weekend.I had great instructors and dive masters who made me feel secure in my knowledge by explaining all the skills in multiple ways and insisting we practice until we could confidently and correctly complete the skills. Safety is taken seriously here and the instructors are patient and help you get things right.I met 30ish members of the International Scuba Dive Tribe who were beyond generous, helpful, and fun as could be to hang out with. I camped at the lake with the group and never stopped learning (or laughing) the whole time I was there.With this group of people you can ask anyone you see a question and they’ll stop what they’re doing to help explain something to you. Everyone helped me fix minor problems I kept having, showed me how various gear worked, advised me based on their years of experience, and included me in all the fun.You put in what you get out. Come prepared, on time, and ready to learn and you’ll have an awesome experience.

Great dive shop!! Rich is a very knowledgable owner who is passionate about diving and helping others be successful with their goals. Leora is an AMAZING instructor who covers all the bases and makes sure you are safe and competent. She gave us lots of great advice, tips and tricks along the way, and made our overall experience one to remember!! When it’s a couple of days before a full week of cozumel diving and your dive computer gives the orange screen of death....Richard, Micah and Joe S. figured out a solution while the manufacturer sent a replacement. I just completed my Open Water certification with International Scuba and I had a great experience.Rich was very helpful in helping me select my gear, Patti and I corresponded via email and she gave me all of the necessary details prior to the first class.I did the academic portion with Elon and he was very good at explaining things and answering any questions I had. I did my confined pool dives with Dennis and he gave great feedback and made sure I felt comfortable with the skills. Micah was helpful with my gear rental and had everything ready for me.So, this weekend I had my dives and the entire crew at the lake were just so much fun. What a great group of people.The instructors were awesome and I made some new friends this weekend too, can’t wait to expand my knowledge and broaden my skills with other specialty courses.

I obtained my Advanced Open Water Diver from IS and thought it was a fairly average dive shop, no big complaints. Attempted to sign up my four kids for their Open Water Diver certs and reached out 2 weeks in advance to set up a private class. I was told they could accommodate and I told them good deal, sign me up (this was 10 days prior to when I wanted to start). I didnt hear back from them for over a week, so on the Saturday before the scheduled training I reached back out to confirm all was well with the class starting on a Monday and was told they have everything set, I just needed to come do paperwork. No problem, I asked if there was a way to do it remotely or scan/email, or when I would need to come by and do it (or if it could be done on Monday prior to the start of the training). Then I get an email saying that I had to come in that day with all four kids and that was the only option (this was never told to me before). I didnt read the email until around 4PM which is when they close. So now my scheduled training that I took time off work and coordinated with all the kids schedules was for nothing and I am stuck trying to find another dive shop that actually wants our money and willing to put forth more than the bare minimum amount of effort to get some divers trained. If this lack of effort and communication extends to their dives then BEWARE! The owners lack of integrity is even more reason to stay away, he ignored his own lack of action and played the blame the customer game in response. I had to reach out to him after a week of no response to see if he even bothered to follow through on my request to have the class. He had plenty of time to mention that the instructor was set and I could come in any time during the preceding week to take care of this but didnt even bother a reply until I reached back out the Saturday before the class to see if I was still booked or not. He may or may not be a good diver, but business sense and communication are seriously lacking. Find a dive shop that cares about their customers, Rich surely doesnt.

Think just because you live in Dallas you can only experience dive culture on vacation? Think again. I have had my licence for a long time and seen many dive shops. International Scuba is at the top of the list. Rich, the owner, is awesome and friendly. Really stoked about getting countless more certifications. Open water or advanced licenes are really just the beginning of scuba life.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in yesterday to have a battery replaced in my Oceanic Pro Plus 2 dive computer. They replaced it and I bought a sturdy reef stick while there. The battery replacement was unique because most shops wont replace these anymore. Dont know why, liability or something. Thanks International Scuba 🙂🙂

I obtained my open water certification with this shop and it was a great experience from the beginning to the end. I had some special requests due to my time schedule and the staff did everything they could to help me out. Thumbs up especially for Beth, Jeanette and Troy. They are great instructors not just for their knowledge, but for the time and patience they gave to me. I will definitely get my advance open water certification here.

I received my open water, and advanced certification here. They have great instructors who are very knowledgeable and great to work with. Classes are kept small so you get a more personal experience. I have purchased all my gear from here as well. Great prices love the layaway plan and if I have a question about any type of gear there is someone that can always help me. I travel all the way from Mansfield to get there well worth it. I would recommend this dive shop to anyone who wants to get certified and feel confident diving afterwords

My son and I took scuba diver training so we could dive on a trip to Cozumel. We were very impressed with the enthusiasm and personal customer service we received at the store. The Instructor was great as well. Patti set us up with her contact in Cozumel to take us out diving, instead of using the Cruise line referral. We were very happy with our experience and had the boat all to ourselves while we watched the Cruise group go out loaded down with passengers. Very positive experience for our first diving experience. I highly recommend International Scuba.

International Scuba was a great place to get acquainted with the water and scuba gear equipment for first timers, such as myself. Took the intro to scuba class and within the time frame of the classroom learning and pool time, I got comfortable with the water. It was great being a small class of only 6 of us because it let the instructors help us get a more comfortable feel of the water and know our equipment. They even worked with individuals one on one when it was time to go deeper into the pool. Overall, the learning and reassurance that these certified instructors give is amazing. I definitely recommend this place to try out for anyone wanting to get a feel for scuba!

I took the scuba class with my 2 teenage kiddos and it did not disappoint. The class size was perfect. The instructors were very helpful and attentive.One of my kids was on the nervous side and they completely put him at ease and he passed with flying colors. The open water check out was fun for all of us, and again, the instructors gave us complete confidence with all of our skills for check out. There were plenty of instructors present to supervise the checkout safely and efficiently!

The staff was super friendly. I went in looking to sign up for an open water class certification. The owner walked me through all the stuff I would need and helped me get outfitted with the right gear. Im looking forward to the class in October. They also offer the sessions during the week which is nice for people who work weekends and cant take multiple weekends off. Ill definitely be buying my gear hear once I start my own diving adventure.

My friend and I got our open water certification and two others. The instructors were fantastic. Micah led us through the pool portion. Beth led our review, and helped at the lake along with Bill and Todd. They were patient, accommodating of schedule changes, and their confidence and knowledge really helped us feel at ease with an intimidating activity.

I just finished my Open Water, Enriched Air and PPB certifications at International Scuba. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. They are all knowledgeable and very helpful. Came here with my enthusiastic just turned 4-year-old who wanted to learn SCUBA. He couldnt (no surprise) but DID learn to snorkel, and loved it. Brian and Patti made it an amazing experience and they even had a small enough mask we could borrow. Wonderful establishment.

Do yourself a favor and dont go anywhere else...I took the Open Water Diver course at International Scuba and couldnt have been more impressed! Everyone (and I do mean everyone) here was friendly, professional, understanding, and extremely helpful. My instructor Pat Lynch was easily one of the best instructors/teachers I have ever come across. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs help with anything scuba related to come here. All of their staff and instructors are extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to.If I could give them more stars... I would.

The staff at International Scuba is clearly very passionate and knowledgable about scuba diving, and I can tell they truly care about their clients. Rich and Stormy went out of their way to help my boyfriend and I find the right scuba certification solution for us, even staying after closing time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the process. Making the decision to get scuba certified is an expensive and time-consuming process, but I feel confident that when were ready to take the plunge, well do it with the crew at International Scuba.

For my husbands birthday a few years ago, I bought him his open water certification training. He took lots of different courses after that, and after about 3 yrs worked his way up to Rescue Diver. I have the open water certification myself. I love the water now. International Scuba offers lots of weekend dives all over Texas. Several times a year they organize trips to wonderful places all over the world.ALL of the instructors are professional, personable and love teaching SCUBA to others.I very highly recommend stopping by and talking with Rich, Patty and all the wonderful people there at International Scuba.

I went to international scuba to get my Advanced Open Water certification after I got left with a week before a trip and no place to be certified with. Rich and Beth worked with my schedule to squeeze in my certification before my trip! Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

My husband and daughters got certified through Inter. Scuba and loved it. My husband and I have recently gotten our Bouyancy Cert. and had a great time, while learning a lot. It really helped us with our next dives we took this past summer. They are a great organization to work with. They are very thorough and make sure everyone is always safe. At 75 I was not sure if this was something I could do. Patti at International assured me that I could. There is not a single thing that could happen on a scuba dive that was not covered in the five days of instruction. Keith was a great instructor he made it as much fun as such a serious subject could be.( Learning to breath and be safe underwater is a serious subject you know.)During the open water classes we had up to four instructors watching everyone from several vantage points to make sure no one was in trouble. I felt very safe.I was having a problem with one skill, and they took me aside and we did a one-on-one lesson until I was able to master it.I had a problem with my new BCD, but International exchanged it without any question, and fitted me with a new one.Thanks to all of the instructors especially Crissy, Lauri, Mike and both Aarons. All of the others were great too, but I cant remember all the names.Thanks everyone. Now, off to Maui to use my new found knowledge.

These guys are awesome! I got my certification almost three years ago with them. I remember being able to take my first breath under water... will never forgot that feeling! Their training pool was warm during the winter for us. They took time to make sure everyone was understanding the importance of diving safety. If you had a question they were sure to give you the time to answer.Their store front has a wide selection of gear too. They do excursions around the different diving holes around here too. Every time I go into this store I feel such a positive energy when I walk in. Everyone is so friendly and Ive never been unsatisfied with any of the classes Ive taken there. I know that Im getting the best possible lessons from them to because I can compare them to other scuba classes that are going on. All around a really great scuba shop!

This shop is simply amazing! We went through them for our open water certification, which took a lot longer than expected due to weather issues in Texas. They were very accommodating to changes including one due to a medical emergency unrelated to one from our group. Rich, who works the shop often, was also an amazing instructor during one of our dives.

Bailed halfway through certification in Australia due to a very hard to breathe regulator. On the recommendarion of a friend, I chose to try again through International Scuba. GREAT dive masters, patient and understanding. Let me go through the training at my own pace and I certified easily. They have always been friendly and helpful whether I am purchasing new equipment or testing it out in the pool before a trip.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. In my experience, they have always done whatever they could to accommodate my needs. Ive been a diver since 1977, and International SCUBA is one of the best dive shops Ive ever come across. Diver safety is their highest priority. I highly recommend them for any diver!

I went in having very little knowledge of scuba diving but I knew I wanted to try it out. They were extremely friendly and helpful with getting me started in their indoor training pool. My teacher was an amazingly knowledgeable guy who took his time explaining steps for breathing and letting go of the fear of going in the water while breathing through my mouth. Thanks to International Scuba of Carrollton I passed my diving exam with ease when I moved to Hawaii. Thank you!

SO very happy that my husband and I chose to do our open water certification at International Scuba. Our classroom instructor, Dean, was wonderful and his wife, Laurie, was great too! Our small class size was perfect. When we got out to the lake to do our certification testing, I was a bit overwhelmed. All of the instructors were so kind and understanding. We are headed to Grenada next month to use our new skills in the ocean for the first time and could not be more excited! Thank you, International Scuba!

These people are great. They are easy to work with, they take time to help you, and they care. Ive taken my advanced open water course through them, and they made sure I could pass all the skills before moving on. Ive become a much better diver since meeting the International group. I enjoyed the classes and staff at International Scuba during my certification. They made it easy to learn and were very thorough in the pool. I was able to go on my vacation and feel confident about the dives we went on and didnt feel nervous that I might do something wrong. There is a lot of information to learn but it is not overwhelming or boring with these guys. I also like that if I need to get in the water before another trip I can schedule a time to come in and get my feet wet again!

This is my scuba shop! There are shops closer to me, but none that treat me this well. Got my certification there, buy equipment there, had equipment serviced there... they do it all. Ive even bought some used gear on ebay and they let me drop by during the day for free and jump in their pool to test. If I like the gear they will test and certify it for a small fee. Really friendly folks.

I did my classroom and pool work for my Open Water certification at International Scuba. The staff was extremely friendly, and the instructors were awesome. They made sure our gear fit, and was comfortable. They also made you feel at ease when you eventually made a mistake. I didnt get to do my open water portion with them, and while disappointed, I did go into that portion of my certification feeling very confident in my knowledge and skllls. Im hoping to go back to IS for my advanced open water in the future! I highly recommend them for your scuba diving needs!

Great Local Dive Shop. Very friendly and accommodating. I got certified a couple years back at IS and our open water dives were in Feb at Lake Travis. The morning of the final dives it was snowing. I surfaced to freezing rain hitting the water. The IS crew was totally prepared to make the best of the cold situation. Extra Wetsuits and propane heaters, and soup and tents. They really go all in to make the experience for the divers great and to allow the divers to concentrate on the education. Thanks to the team. Patti, Dean, Dennis and everyone who chipped in..

I took the Open Water Diver course with them. It was not an easy course for me to take with not really being comfortable in the water. While they do uphold the training standards, they have gone beyond and above what I expected to assist me in getting certified. The instructors I have dealt with are there to see people get properly trained and certified to being able join in with enjoying the experience that they love.

Great little scuba shop! Myself and my 3 teens completed our training there a few years ago. Recently participated with them in the Hells Gate Clean Up at Possum Kingdom Lake. Great fun!

Just finished my open water certification here and it was great! Not sure where to start. I have soo many great things to say! I was super worried at first but Rich and his wife Tonja are so nice and welcoming! They are very humble. I didn’t even know I was talking to the owner till someone had mentioned it and I put two and two together. Shout out to Joe Pazos my instructor, he’s can be a little rough around the edges but I promise you he means well. He wants you to make sure you understand so you can dive safely! I was worried with the short time we spent together I wasn’t going to be ready but I assure you I felt so much more comfortable in the water than I expected to. All thanks to Joe and his two helpers (Nancy and Martin)!! The other staff members are great, honestly I don’t know who actually works there or who is there to hang out. That place has a great atmosphere and everyone I’ve meant at the shop and bc of the shop has been a wonderful experience. Will totally recommend anyone that wants to learn or shop come here!

This dive shop is awesome! The certification class made us feel very comfortable and ready for an open water dive on our trip. We have made several dives since and we always feel that we were very well prepared and knowledgeable.

Our entire family was certified at International Scuba. Their passion has become our passion. It starts at the top with Patti and her staff. What started off as an interest of one has expanded to our family of 5. It all started in 2009. We are forever grateful!

I had my scuba courses there, and Id my check out dives with them for my Padi certification. The information was all presented in a wonderfully clear way. And I had a great time with the small class size. Really patient and professional instructors! They were encouraging when I did some panicking moments with the mask flooding exercise. They were really helpful. I felt secure and sure with them. I would totally recommend getting certified here!

Congratulations to me as I am now an advanced open water scuba diver. And congratulations, indeed. I began my scuba journey in February, 2013 but had a bad experience on my last day of pool exercises and threw in the towel. One year later, in April, 2014 I decided to try it again and succeeded going on to complete my advanced. I have to attribute my success to the kindness and extremely skilled trainers of International Scuba on Marsh Ln. I cannot say enough good things about this scuba house. Patti Stewart leads her team in the utmost of professionalism and I would (and will) be proud to direct any and all my friends interested in the sport of scuba diving to this establishment. Took classes at International Scuba to obtain my base PADI certification. The instructor (Jeremy) was all around awesome! Passed the exam and practical, and off I went to my 1st SCUBA trip.Highly recommend them to anyone!

Everything you read about International Scuba from all the reviews are 100% TRUE! After reading the reviews, I signed up both my kids (10, 12) to get their PADI junior open water diver cert. My 12 year old went first and he absolutely LOVED everything about it.... the instructors, ALL of them, the class which was small with only four students total, and the open water dives. The whole experience from beginning to end was PERFECT for the student and the parent! I HIGHLY recommend this place. Patti, Jeannette... well, EVERYONE is very friendly, highly knowledgeable and professional and FUN! Although my son is bummed its over for him, my daughter cant wait to take her classes in a couple of weeks now! We will definitely be going to them for all of our diving needs. We live in Prosper and although there are other dive shops closer to us, it was worth every mile and traffic minutes to go to International Scuba. THE BEST DIVE FACILITY IN DFW AREA!! If youre looking for the best scuba store & courses, look no more because you wont a find a better place than ISD. I took my open water course with Pat & he was so informative, patient and fun. All the instructors are helpful and the owner Pati is so friendly that she made me feel so welcomed and also didnt charge me extra fees when they had to mail my license again because of my mistake. Id give it more than 5 STARS if I could.

International Scuba is a great dive shop here in the DFW area. They have a good gear selection and have a fantastic training plan that happens year round. The instructional staff is the best. They have a very active travel and dive program. This is the place to get dive training, trips and gear!

I took my 12 year old son for a scuba lesson. He loved it! They made him feel very comfortable and talked him through every step. He wanted to go back for a 2nd lesson and he wanted me to join him!

We absolutely LOVE International Scuba. We helped clean up the trash at Possum Kingdom Lake (Hells Gate) last weekend and it was organized very well, met new friends, ate some AWESOME BBQ afterwards, overall a great trip. Cant wait to go on some other trips with International Scuba. I got certified there when I was 10 and they were so patient and kind. I got my C card in 1982 and have used it sporadically for 32 years. These guys never fail to remind me of something I forgot, show me something I didnt know and help me with questions.
