No offense to this location, but ADT as a whole.. just horrible, horrible service. I’d advise finding a security system else where.

DO NOT USE ADT or ANY PROVIDER for their services you WILL be disappointed and stuck in a contract that you will NOT want to be obligated to. If a technician comes and installs your service you are COMMITTED TO A LONG TERM CONTRACT that could cost THOUSANDS to get out of. Or you will be stuck with sub par service. Do not let their ratings fool you. They have the highest customer average because their CUSTOMERS ARE BOUND BY CONTRACT. This is for your own good, use a better service with NO LONG TERM CONTRACT. And this is the truth. Their service caps your recordings and does not allow you to delete to make room for more. If someone vandalized your property and you have reached your recordings cap you will NOT HAVE EVIDENCE. Save yourself the trouble stay away from ADT.

To Whom It May Concern,Please do not use ADT or their authorized dealer, Defenders, dba, Protect Your Home. I purchased fire detection from them that proved faulty because it did not notify me of the fire before my home was already engulfed in flames and burning down with my 3 dogs inside. Thankfully, I arrived home and was able to rescue my dogs. I was then informed that despite my home burning down I could not suspend or cancel my agreement and would thus have to pay out the remainder of the 36 month term with ADT/Protect Your Home which came out to over $1,000.00. Considering their faulty monitoring as well as equipment, I was more than willing to pay the $1,000 to be done with this company permanently. I was told by ADT/Protect Your Home that they could not issue me any sort of bill or invoice for the required $1,000! I informed ADT/Protect Your Home that I was not willing to issue them a payment of $1,000 without having something in writing stating what I was paying. I was then told by ADT/Protect Your Home, that if I did not pay out the remainder of my contract, despite not having a home for them to service because it had burned to the ground, they would illegally report me to a credit bureau. So not only do they provide a faulty service and a 10 page fine print contract that was obviously drafted by a bunch of attorneys, they made threats against me in violation of credit reporting law. My recourse against them per the contract is to go to arbitration - why are they treating the little customer like this? What sickens me the most is that despite providing a bad smoke detector and my home burning to the ground they still expected me to not only pay out the contract, but were also unwilling to provide me an invoice or statement in order to pay this fee! Please share this with your friends and family so they dont suffer the same fate as me.

Called to cancel my service for 11 years becauuce it was getting to Expensive when representative very very rude snappy hung the phone up on me I will never use the service again and neither should you

The technician we had by the name of Jerrod was VERY great. He walked us through the process of how the system works. He took time to answer our questions to the best of his ability. He did everything in a great time frame. He was very polite and generous.

I have been with ADT for almost nine years and the service has been good. My one star review is based on my experience terminating my contract. Although I paid for the equipment when it was installed, once I terminate service it will no longer function at all. Also, I will end up paying for an extra month of service because I did not give them 30 days notice in cancelling. Im sure that it was in the contract but I havent looked at the contract for almost 9 years. Of course, they dont need 30 days to process the cancellation - they just want the extra money.

The technician was very helpful, informative, and friendly. The install went without issue, and we knew 100% how to use the system before the tech left.

I couldn’t really give them much of a chance. My mother passed away, and the system was for her empty house. Within 5 minutes they wanted to run credit checks and pushed for installation without directly answering my questions. They require a 3 year contract.
