The doughnuts here are the best i have ever had. They have so many choices for toppings. The doughnuts were fresh and tasted great. The staff was great even though i was slow picking my choices. Will visit again

Really good donuts. Theyll make just about anything, but try a few off the menu first. There are some quirky ones for sure, but I havent had a bad one yet.Know that 99% of the donuts are batter dropped from a donut robot and the toppings are whats different. Thats not a bad thing because the donuts are tasty. This also means that if you a donut when they are busy your donut has a good chance of being hot. Add those toppings and you get a serious donut. Dont forget to grab a fork and some napkins

Really love the simple layout, they have a pretty good selection of coffees, lattes, and so on, but the real star is the fresh made donuts, which have several different seasonal varieties as well as regular, pretty much something for everyone donut wise, definitely worth stopping by if you can.

This is a can’t-miss spot in Roanoke. I normally don’t like outrageously flavored donuts (e.g. Voodoo Donuts), but I felt like Duck Donuts did it just right. All the donuts are cooked fresh after your order is placed so they’re always warm, flaky, and delicious. My girlfriend and I ordered a dozen for a large group. The cashier/chef, Daniel, gave us tons of recommendations because we were so overwhelmed with all the options. Once they were done, we couldn’t wait and tried a couple before we left the store. Daniel hooked us up with two of his personal favorite donuts for free before we left so that our box didn’t have any empty spots. Goes to show that real business is more than just the price of one donut, it’s about making your customers happy. We left Duck Donuts with a huge smile, and we’ll be back FOR SURE!

I love these doughnuts are made-to-order and they are definitely a local favorite. They come so hot and fresh the icing makes it super gooey and messy. Personally they are way too sweet and remind me of fried fair food. If that is what youre looking for this place is for you. Its way too heavy for my morning breakfast. Fast and easy service though.

First visit last night and the place looks amazing and the donuts are even better! The only issue I had was with one of the employees named Lexa (guy with black fingernail polish). We ordered a dozen donuts and then came back and ordered a cinnamon swirl and roasted caramel drink. Lexa seemed to be in a fowl mood and was very short with us. He didn’t know how to put the order in and what he did out in was wrong. (We got a cinnamon and vanilla) Lexa didn’t even know how to make the drinks. He put all of the work on his coworker Ethan, who by the way was extremely pleasant. Ethan wasn’t well-versed with making the drinks either, but he took the initiative to do it anyways. Ethan was very customer friendly and apologized for our wait with the drinks. Lexa made our donuts and when finished, sat the box on the counter and walked away. He didn’t even tell us the order was ready for us. Overall, not the best experience for a first time customer. I’ll be optimistic and visit again soon to see if I have a better experience.

The donuts are not bad. I love the seasonal mint chocolate one. However, everyone who works here looks uninspired and unhappy. We stood at the counter unacknowledged while someone was doing something at the cashier and then walked away. Getting donuts is a joyful event and I’d hope that whoever makes and sells them takes joy in it too!

We went in to get donuts to go. The shop was mostly empty. We left FOURTY-FIVE minutes later. I was livid. I would have left sooner, but I was waiting with my kids in the car and they would have been so disappointed. They had to make more dough. Extremely poor planning. Also, they should have told my husband prior to ordering what the situation was and let us decide if we wanted to wait or not. They did not mention a thing. We won’t be back.

I’ve gotten donuts here before and it turned out great but this time around it was nothing but a pain to order in advance.Online ordering didn’t work. App doesn’t work properly. No one answers the phones.Probably won’t come back until COVID is over since they don’t seem to be functioning well because of it.

Its nice that these donuts are made fresh right in front but I dont think they are the best donut ever. The variety of toppings makes it more unique and is really what made the donut. I did know it was a cake donut, but it just didnt seem cooked enough. My guess is that fryers oil wasnt quite an even temperature. Im not local, but I would try Ducks again to see if there is a different experience.

Travis and Cassidy are two of the nicest customer service people ever. They were both very friendly and patient while I picked out what donuts I wanted. Hard choice. So many to choose from. Lemon raspberry were my favorite. Key lime were delicious also. Think everything there is scrumptious. Never come to this town without coming to Duck Donuts. Hope. Travis and Cassidy are here.

Not your typical donut!! These are cake donuts that are made fresh while you are wanting and then topped just about any way you want them. Not only that you get to see them make the donut from start to finish. The price you pay is well worth what you are getting. Staff is more than accommodating and will walk you through the process if it your first time. It is impossible to eat just one.

Toppings were amazing... the dough not so much. Little overcooked. More like cake than doughnuts. Maybe next time Duck Donuts.

Really disappointed in this visit. I have had them before and love duck donuts but this time they totally screwed up the order. No apologies or discount or anything. I ordered sanddollars and they opened the box and no coconut on them. So they added the coconut and then I walked out of store. Got to car and took a bite and it was cinnamon and sugar with vanilla icing. Totally wrong. Took the box back in and said these are wrong. She went and got the menu to see if it was wrong. Didnt say a word and then said we will remake them. No sorry for the delay etc. Not good customer service at all

Great place to get donuts, usually completely covered up and well take you awhile to get in the door and place your order. The employees at this store dont seem to be quite as knowledgeable or friendly as the ones that work at the Outer Banks stores Ive been to in North Carolina, but Im sure itll get better with time. I recommend the maple or maple bacon also the blueberry pancake is pretty awesome too!

The donuts are yummy but the service leaves much to be desired. Coffee orders were wrong and then we were served old coffee. Something was off with their machine perhaps, but we were never offered an explanation. Prices dont match the product - overpriced.

Its okay donuts are great! They seemed to not get our coffee order right me and my sister asked for iced coffee she did not get the right one and they gave her straight black coffee with ice. I asked for the honey iced latte and was given a hot one on a 97 degree day I drank it anyway everything was good just hope they can hear my beverage order the correct way next time.

Fine donuts, coffee and service. You really cant go wrong. The maple powdered sugar is excellent. If you add bacon to it, that is a near perfect donut imo.

Im sure I will get the same canned response from the owner blaming covid 19 but when I spend 30 dollars on 4 types of donuts for my kids and they send 12 assorted which means my daughters get to fight over the one donut they like...its unacceptable. Stick to take out, duck donuts can not deliver properly.
