Nice place to play!

Excellent game store. Out of the 3 in the area, this one offers the best gamer support. Its not about having all the stuff. Its about having a staff that actually wants to support their community. Lon is always happy to sit down and teach painting techniques, will stay late if you just want to play games late, and is as cooperative as possible if you want to organize an event.

I regularly attend FNM here and am always comfortable. The staff is friendly and inviting. I wouldnt go anywhere else to play magic, other places are too clickey and not inclusive. I always have lots of fun!!!

Good people good prices on MTG cards. Would suggest you come here and play any chance you get.

This is a great magic the gathering shop. Awesome staff and great atmosphere. 99 percent of the time of you want it They will have it. As far as prices are concerned they are very reasonable, whereas some shop will charge you 2-5 bucks for a single more times than not you can find it in their 3 for a dollar box! If you are a current player or if your thinking of picking up the hobby this is the place for you.

Super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable staff! Huge selection of Magic cards and merchandise, along with a selection of board games and other gaming merchandise. Staff members, along with customers, are always available and eager to answer your questions and teach games to newbies. Relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and have a great time.

Amazing playing environment. The owners are very nice. This is my #1 spot for any and all things Magic the Gathering related. Highly recommend for new players and for traveling players.

This was a very welcoming store. Neatly laid out with plenty of people and space for playing Magic and other tabletop games. Staff were very helpful. Store had a wide range of sealed Magic, Warhammer and Star Wars games, among many others. Great experience! If you want magic singles, check out their massive selection!

People that go their are very nice it’s competitive In a friendly style. Everyone has fun win or lose. If your learning the game people will help you.

Very rude girl who works there made fun of my friend directly to her face for liking a different game than her. There are other gaming stores in the area. I would recommend any of those over this store. There is a good reason my entire gaming group lives in West Columbia but drives to St Andrews or Irmo for our gaming stuff. Condescension like that is one of the big things that keeps people from wanting to try hobbies like tabletop gaming.

One of the best Magic The Gathering card shops in town that also carries some other table top gaming stuff. I do business with these guys almost every set release.Ive been given the impression by friends / acquaintances that this is also home to the most competitive player base in town, with Firefly probably being a bit more new-player friendly.Good selection of singles, always someone around on staff or in store who can make useful card suggestions for deck ideas, and a small discount on purchases made with cash!The only noteworthy detractors; the store has a bit of a boys club atmosphere (which isnt uncommon amongst a fair number of the more competitive Magic players Ive known), which has turned off some of my close female friends and newer players over the years, and sometimes it can be a little slow to get service.Despite those quibbles, the owner Johnny has always been super cool, and the employees are generally helpful once they get to you. The place is seldom empty, with people doing casual pick up games on the regular.One of two must check out places in town for Magic.

It was a quaint little place, which I personally enjoyed. I came in during a Modern MTG Tournament but at least I had a good conversation involving the game. My only gripe about the place was there wasnt any bathroom, but I didnt ask so I could be wrong about that. Thank goodness they have a claw machine, because that is pretty unique I have to admit, and plenty of Heroclix to buy if anyone is interested. I would put down five stars if someone would play a game of Magic the Gathering with me.Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Whether its for a competitive event or just hanging out with people for board games Ive never had a bad experience here, lots of good memories though. Really great store.

Great community. Most of the regulars play commander and theres big group for Friday night magic the gathering. A good group of people gather on Monday nights to play super smash brothers; there is a $2 venue fee if you wish to play. I believe they have table top night on Wednesday and dragon ball z tcg tournaments on Tuesday nights.

Your local game store in the Cayce area that mainly focuses on Magic The Gathering. They also have a few other cards game and various table top games. Great place to hang out and play some games casually or sign up to play a tournament to satisfy your competitive side.

Walking into RTP is like walking into the bar on Cheers (everybody knows your name). There is a real feeling of community and camaraderie. If you want to learn how to play Magic: The Gathering, Ticket To Ride, Ascension or any other game out there, this is THE place to come. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful.

Great place to hang out and game. We were here last night to play video games with a few pals from the South Carolina Gamers Facebook page. This place is much bigger on the inside than what it looks like from the outside.There was a Magic The Gathering tournament going on around us and no one seemed to mind. I was told that video game tournaments are on Monday night. They had a great selection of card and RPG games for purchase as well. If your gaming geek of any kind, you owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit.

My friends and myself came here for dice masters wko and I have to say it was a very nice store. Lots of room to play and good amount of product. Friendly staff as well.

I was down here for a job interview, and shopping around for a potentially new LGS. In my search through Google I came across Ready to Play with few reviews, one in particular was very poor to say the least. This couldnt be farther from the truth. Their MTG product selection was great, welcoming and helpful staff, a nice and clean environment, and I couldnt have been happier with my experience. I have no doubt that if I decide to stay here in Columbia, I have found my new LGS. Wish I could give 6 stars.

I loved playing Smash Bros for Wii U here before I left to serve my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am expecting to make an epic return to this place and hand people their trash during weeklies.

My girlfriend and I came in today to make a trade in, and left never planning to return. While we were browsing the store, the female employee was swearing, playing video games, and conversing about inappropriate topics with her co-worker. Quote: you can touch my buns. Once we began the trade, there was a discrepancy on the pricing. The website on my phone listed a value significantly higher than what was reportedly found by the employees, using the same source (TCGPlayer). The female worker was extremely rude about the price difference, telling us, thats not how you do it, offering no explanation; just a snappy retort. I wish Ready to Play the best of luck in successful business, but Im afraid thats just not possible unless the staff manages to conduct themselves in a more considerate and professional way.

If youre not one of the 5 regular customers the employees will be reluctant to give you any decent service. Seem dissatisfied with doing their jobs.

This was the second time Ive been to this establishment the prices for some of the cart accessories were great however the owner whom Ive known for multiple years was a complete jerk I was not comfortable being there and no I wanted to duel Yu-Gi-Oh cards with my girlfriend they did not make it a comfortable environment to do so hit himself and some of his other employees were sitting around the table playing Magic the Gathering not even acknowledging our presence I did not quite enjoy that and Im sure I will not be back here
