I just bought a LB recliner there today, and they are just as nice now as they’ve always been. They have great prices and sales, helpful salespeople, and good products. You should prepare yourself to have to wait for the item to come to the warehouse in case it isn’t readily available though.

I have lower back pain, so I needed a mattress that would be both supportive and comfortable. I have never witten a review before, but Kyle was so amazing to work with! I had been to several mattress stores in Cedar Rapids, but his customer service and friendliness sold me on Slumberland!

We went to several other stores afterwards to compare and we ended up coming back to Slumberland. The furniture is very nice and priced very good. We picked out furniture for several rooms and had lots of questions. John stayed after the store closed to finish working with us. You cant find better customer service. He was never pushy like alot of sales people. He truly helped us find what we were looking for.

Very nice associate, Cori, introduced herself and asked if we were looking for anything in particular. She told us to enjoy a look around and if we needed anything, let her know. We found a perfect ottoman (with storage) about 5 minutes later! She was wonderful, was able to sell us the floor model rather than wait til May for order to arrive. It’s a beautiful smaller piece, fabric upholstery that sheds dog hair - very important at our house. Our big dog is able to use it a a step up to our tall bed which was our primary reason for buying. The storage is a happy bonus. It’s a perfect purchase and was on sale. Thank you.

We perused the website and learned that the specific item we wanted was in stock [according to the website]. We drove all the way out to the showroom in Marion and found the exact match on the sales floor. When we got to the register to pay/pickup the merchandise; only then did we learn that the items were in fact *not* in stock; and would not be available for pickup until next week. And of course no one on site wished to fess up about the misinformation on their own web site.

My wife and I tried to order a couch from Slumberland in Cedar Rapids, back in November 2020. We were originally informed the couch would arrive in 2-3 months, with the delivery date being in February. As the months came and went, the date continually got pushed back. We still do not have our couch 6 months later and are being told that it should tentatively come in June. We understand there are delays with receiving products; however, the communication from Slumberland regarding the delays has been poor (I have been the one calling to check in on the delivery date) and the delivery date continues to slip. It has been very disheartening to work with this company. We are incredibly disappointed with the customer service and management, and we would not order from this store again.

Needed a king foundation and bed frame was able help us out in last minute. Milo did an amazing job.

They didnt offer small dining room sets but the sales clerk was very friendly.

Purchased bed shortly after Christmas its now the middle of February still nothing this whole transaction has been nothing but problems. Some wedding present. The only reason Im leaving one star is that I really love the mattress we got if not for that wouldnt have bothered at all.

We were greeted upon arrival, Al let us know about current specials and then allowed us time and space to look around. He followed up and was able to answer questions we had. Loved that there was no pressure but still good customer service.This store had better service and variety than a similar furniture store we visited nearby. Would recommend Slumberland.

Overall the experience was good especially considering how crowded the store was this weekend! Slightly disappointed that our salesman was wearing a mask under his nose. Most everyone in the store up here to be taking all the appropriate precautions. Aside from that, they had the item we were looking for in stock and the sale went very nicely.

Our salesman, Bob, was absolutely amazing. Nowhere to be seen when we needed a minute and right there when we were ready for him with questions about the bedroom set we were considering. A couple of days later, we were back in the store looking for a new couch. Bob answered all of our questions and was great AGAIN. I’m sure the sales staff is on commission. That being said, I didn’t feel Bob was trying to pressure us into taking the more expensive of our 2 options. For any future furniture needs, Slumberland will be our 1st stop. And if Bob’s working, he’ll be our salesman.The only down side is the 3 month delivery time... But for the deal and the service we got, it’s worth the wait.

Al greeted us and told us where we could find what were looking for. He said to let him know if we needed any help. We walked all through the store and had some questions for Al. He answered all our questions and helped us decide on the right dresser to buy.

So far I give it a five for service and knowledge. I love there selections. Hate we have to wait 6 weeks but that is not Slumberlands fault and I understand. Incredibly disappointed in customer service. Cannot currently comment on quality of merchandise as I am still waiting. I ordered a kitchen table, 6 chairs, 2 barstools in the beginning of December 2020. They estimated with the pandemic etc. that the wait period would be 4-6 weeks. This put my purchase at their distribution center around the first part of February. No big deal. They were running a special for free delivery, which we had to ask for, it wasnt just offered. First part of February goes by and I (not them reaching out to be proactive) called to get an update on my order. Turns out its going to be another 4-6 weeks before my order comes in. I generously gave them until the middle of April to call (again, me requesting an update, not them keeping me updated). The sales person that sold to me was unavailable and I unfortunately didnt get the name of the gentleman that helped me on this particular call. I was told my table and chairs were in but not my barstools, and they were waiting to call once they had the full set. Not taking into consideration that I may want my order as it came in, and that was probably something they shouldve let me decide considering at this point Ive waited 4.5 months. The person on the phone stated that since Id had to wait as long as I had, the best they could do was to offer full service delivery. He told me that they would call on 4/27 to set up a two hour time frame and deliver and set up my table and chairs on 4/29. After I spoke this this associate I was called by my original salesman to let me know that my table and chairs were in. I assumed, mistakenly, that since I had already spoken with someone about a delivery date and told that I would be called I didnt need to return the message. False.. they didnt put any note in the system from speaking with me. I waited until around 1200 to call on 4/27 to set up a delivery time. The person I spoke with stated they were full on delivery times on the 29th and the best they could do was 5/13. At this point Im pretty fed up. I call on 4/28 to see if I can just come and pick up my order. Nope. They dont actually have it, their distribution center does. The earliest I can pick it up is 5/7. Real cool. Never ordering from there again. The only things stopping me from cancelling my order is how much I liked the table/chairs/barstools I picked out. Do not recommend.

Mike is the greatest salesperson of all time. He helped me and my best friend find a mattress in record time. He was the perfect balance of present but not pushy with a great sense of humor.

We were helped right away. All of our questions were answered promptly. The website said our unit was in stock but the Covid situation was explained to us that it would have to be shipped. Weve purchased from here before, no worries.

The last time I was in Slumberland before yesterday was 5 years ago. I had a horrible experience with the salesperson at that time who made me feel like he didnt have time for me because I had a budget I wanted to stick to. I vowed I would never go back. Until yesterday when my friend convinced me to give it a shot after I had looked literally everywhere else in CR and didnt find what I was looking for. Milo at Slumberland was AMAZING! Not your typical sales guy. Not pushy, gave me space to shop, didnt try to persuade me to buy the most expensive thing, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and practical! I am so happy with the purchase of our new couches and will be going back to work with Milo for more items as we continue our remodel!!!
