Love this place. Come here often and rarely disappoints. Recently tried the new corn bun, wasnt bad, but couldnt seem to get the flavor that was expected. My daughter loved it. I also tried the hibiscus lemonade. Like the fact that the lemonade was tart, but was also expecting the hibiscus to be sweeter, felt the hibiscus got lost in the lemonade. Every pastry is marked, and the menu is simple and to the point. So far everyone I have taken these pastries to, fall in love. I have tried several of their cakes. I love the fact that they are not too sweet. The customer service is always one of the best and efficient. I am lucky enough to have several within driving distance.

We love this bakery and specifically this location because they still make what we like. Another place said its not as popular, but it’s always sold out 🤷🏻‍♀️ Place is clean. The staff are always helpful. They did a great job regulating during the covid days. I like the fact that the pastries are individually wrapped now (and I hope it stays that way). You get a tray and their tongs near the entrance. You use the tongs to pick up the items and load them onto the tray. A lot of their bread/pastries are moist and very tasty. If its your 1st time here, just try everything. 😂 They have items like their chocolate cream cheese to garlic bread. I tried their milk tea pastry. That was different. It was just like the drink with boba inside! (Wow) Weve never been disappointed with their pastries. They offer a military discount (need proof). I just wished their website made it easy to order online (which they say you could, but not user friendly).

If you have the app, you can get deals and rack up points for rewards. They have fresh bakery products and delicious drinks. Id recommend their sea salt green tea which comes either hot or cold.

Sea salt caramel coffee. A twist on this coffee. The salt gives it a tasty kick. Highly recommended. Give it a go.

I love their cakes and the place, I always buy cakes here for birthdays and other occassions. But the service is poor today probably only the cashier guy name Matthew. I ordered chocolate cake and asked him if i can put a dedication or just a happy birthday. He said they dont do that in there🙄 But i been buying cakes there and they put dedication all the time, but he might be right they dont do it certain day. But he looks like he doesnt want to do his job. He shouldnt be working there if hes acting like that. He dont even say anything after, so i just grab my cake on top of the counter and grab my receipt. Looks like he dont like his job. Such a rude guy. But thank God the cake is good.

Excellent pastries! Some more of an American style but many Asian style. The chocolate bun was excellent. So good that I ate my wifes portion and she got angry. Would eat my wifes portion again hands down.

Her name is Jeannie/Jamie the shift manager. Very rude and unprofessional/disorganized. Often kept line long and customers waiting for extended period of time. When you gently remind her the cashier station is unmanned, she would FROWN on you to show her unpleasantness. Childish minded, lacked of training and very unprofessional as a shift leader. Reporting her to 85C corporate.

Sunday fun day like every Sunday we go get some bread, drinks!! Im just getting a bit disappointed they have the same things all the time, once in a while they came out with new breads.

We enjoy the bakery here, always have fresh bread and pastries. The wait for the drinks can be long especially when busy but overall good place to get both sweet treats and a milk tea drink.

One of the better 85 bakery. They have stayed consistent in their presentation and quality. Their breads are labeled. Most 85 bakeries have lost their presentation and quality. Not this one, keep it up guys.

85 degrees!!! Should call it the Inferno cuz this place is on fire!!!! Best cupcakes in town, not even close. These guys do it right and they always deliver the best tasting cupcakes every single time! My kids are like, it should be our bday every day so we can get more cupcakes! Gotta love it 🥰

Salted coffee is awesome hot and the 85* iced is very good too. The bakery items are very tasty as well. Pretty hard to beat. The presentation of their bakery items are also beautifully executed in little shiny clear plastic bags, perfect for the times we are in with Covid and all.

This place has amazing Thai tea and coffee! I usually come here after eating here at Gen to give our sweet tooth a little something. LOL. I would give this place a higher rating but I recently ordered a cake from them on 10/07/21 which completely turned my perspective on them. I had called them to ask if they would be able to make an 8” strawberry deluxe cake with no toppings. I just wanted a flat surface since I wanted to write something special on top of it myself. The cashier spoke to the manager, while I was on the phone with them, and the cashier relayed the message that yes it is possible, so long as I write about it in the special instructions. I did just that. Come Sunday 10/10/21, my fiancé went to pick up the cake for me, since I had to run other errands, and he calls me telling me that the cake had toppings on it. My fiancé said that someone named Ryan was giving him a particularly hard time. My fiancé is not as outspoken as I am, so I decided to call to CLARIFY not to argue. I was greeted on the phone by a worker, who appeared to be in the back, busy, which is totally understandable given that it is Sunday. She told me I had to speak up LOUDER because she could not hear me, then she put me on hold, which I didn’t mind, to speak to her manager about it. Simultaneously I was texting my fiancé asking him to double check there was toppings since I don’t want to waste anyone’s time and he said there WAS toppings on it. My fiancé had mentioned that the person named Ryan said that they couldn’t do cakes without toppings. My fiancé finally texted me back and told me that they were going to remake it and flash freeze it. The manager on the other line also said their name was Ryan so I am unsure if it is a different Ryan or the same one giving my fiancé a hard time. This experience was more annoying/disheartening than anything because it totally negates the ordering online process/special instructions section since it appears that they didn’t honor either, or bother to read it, since it is now 4pm and the pick up time was 3:30pm. The manager apologized but nothing else was done. I’m not asking for freebies or had any ill intentions, I just thought they would be more understanding. Anyways, I got my cake. Guess I should probably bake my own huh? It probably could have been prevented but since I have placed orders there before it was just based out of comfortability and convenience. I will not be placing anymore cakes here again.Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

This bakery is one of the best I have found in and around Buena Park. They have a wide variety of decadent deserts and freshly baked bread. As you walk in you are greeted with the scent of sweets and freshly baked pastries (one of my favorite scents). There is ample seating and the cafe is well lit. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything is neatly arranged in glass display cases. You grab a tray, a pair of clean tongs and begin a delightful journey as you walk around looking for which bread or pastry of the many options you wish to try. It is all reasonably priced and every item is baked to perfection. You cannot just have one, once you try one you will keep coming back for more.Happy hunting everyone!!

The egg tart was DELICIOUS! I got the cakes and they were okay, nothing fantastic. I was a little irritated with the self order for cakes and drinks. Apparently the cake and drinks print out in separate areas. Waited for about 15 min before I finally asked someone.. the person who was suppose to watch for cake order was not paying attention to it.

Im really conflicted, honestly. This place normally has good items but the shift leader David was acting like a total jerk. Maybe he was having an off day and everyones entitled to an off day, but now Im having an off day. It should not too much to answer a few questions about the pastries if you actually serve as the shift leader. Very disappointing.

All of their pastries and bread are really good. I pre-ordered there fathers day cake and it was amazing. The hair of the face however was not sweetened and really bitter and sour like straight coffee. Once mixed with the rest of the cake it wasnt noticeable. I would recommend this cake for coffee lovers especially.

This place reminds me of Nordstroms on the day before Christmas. Its kind of an Asian fusion bakery. Its like a Chipotle swallowed an Asian Baker. The baked goods are all right but certainly not worth the hype. I just wanted some simple bakery items. Its not worth the crazy parking and long lines. People are grabbing, pulling, and poking at items. There are women & kids everywhere and the men stand away. 🚼👶 There are only three cash registers and they may only have one or two registers working. From this you get unnecessarily wrapped baked goods that take to much effort for the cashier to wrap, fun baked goods that are super fresh, and good prices from selling in large numbers. 🍩 It offers a ton of different stuff too from loose baked goods to cakes and tea/coffee while being super hip. 🎂 ☕ Plus they offer some sweet dance music that sounds like you would have it a Zumba class.🙅

Like they say: freeesh bread! The bread is super soft and the combinations interesting (squid ink roll, Sriracha green onion chicken). Their drink selection has a great variety and the sea salt coffees fly off the counter. The dining area is ample and comfortable.

I prepaid for my 93 year old fathers birthday cake. Upon arrival, I was told that the cake was sold, and no record of the purchase was kept. After providing my receipt, I was offered a refund. I declined the refund because I could not go home without a cake because it is believed to be my fathers last birthday. I pleaded for an alternative cake but was told that there were none available.

The milk pudding bread is so good and usually uou cant go wrong with a sea salt based drink there

Yummy pasties, boba, and lattes. Were a bit understaffed when I came but good service despite that. Nice environment. Offer soy milk substitute for you lack toes in tall her ants. Great selection of pasties and cakes. Not the cheapest, but worth the price. Not the place for custom cakes! Check the menu on their website for pictures of their selection of cakes.

The place had a good selection of sweet and such. The place was a little bit dirty but aside from that I recommend if you have a sweet tooth and or a savory tooth.

You might not think about drinks when 85 Degree gas so many perfect baked goods, but they also have wonderful tea, coffee, and smoothie drinks. From right to left, the refreshing pina colada smoothie (with real pineapple on top), mango smoothie, and the addictive sea salt mountain green tea.Just get larges. Itll save you from having to go back later for another one...

I have been regularly buying baked goods at this place, it has always been a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I had a very impolite service by one of their lady staff ( it sounds like she had been in the same bad reviews here due to the same attitude). Her service is very arrogant. The face and gestures showed how she disliked ( rolling her eyes with raised voice) that I’m adding pastries to my order ( CCtV review at 2pm, 10/31/20). I even apologize for adding order but her gestures are very disgusting. I hope this can be addressed as the attitude doesn’t match the prestige and class of this baked shop.

I want to give them 5 stars for today SO BAD because Brooke was SO helpful. She went above and beyond and took the time to help me with the app and explain how to differentiate between the Borrohs buns.However, when I went back in line to order a cake for pickup later in the evening, (you know...got a thing called work with not enough room in the office fridge) I had a new cashier who informed me they werent taking preorders and it was 1st come 1st serve, even though they have a sign for online preorder pickup....and he then told me only the cakes on display are available. I asked him, so, is that the last double cheesecake you have? He said, Yes.I pay, and he packages my cake without a hapoy birthday sign that I had asked for and didnt even mention that maybe they had run out or something??? And when I looked....the double cheesecake on display was still there I.e. it was clearly not tje last one.I really dont appreciate dishonesty and non-transparency, no matter how minor it is.Btw checking your receipt to see who your cashier was doesnt always work. Both my receipts from 2 different cashiers and 2 different cash registers both say Jamie Blanco. So no way for that individual to recognize their need for improvement(s) in certain areas. Just dont BS your customers.

My friend and I went to go grab boba earlier today. Given their limited capacity, we had to wait outside cause its 10 people at a time. After waiting for like 15- almost 20ish minutes a couple walked out. So we walked in, along with a lady who barged in front of us. Yet, as we step in one of the cashiers tells us to wait outside. I was befuddled by this. Why were we being asked to continue waiting outside while we had waited for our turn. (It would only be proper/fair to ask the lady to wait her turn) . As the cashier walks outside, she said that we have to wait cause its only 10 people at a time and to wait for another person to step out. I told her that we had been waiting outside and we walked in after a couple stepped out. But the lady had barged in front of us. Her only response was oh, sorry about that and to wait for someone to step out, so that we can go in. Ive never dealt with such poor attitude and horrible customer service here, my friend and I ended up leaving. I understand they have protocols for our well-being but they definitely need a more efficient way of doing this.

The bread was good but this young Oriental girl had a very disrespectful attitude and looked like she was upset and in a hurry when I was practically the only customer there early in the morning. I asked if they had a specific type of bread and she rolled her eyes and was frustrated to help me which made me not even want to order anything. I hate to write a bad review but it has to be done. Constructive criticism helps.. no one wants to spend their money to a business during a pandemic to a company who does not appreciate their customers

Amazing service and amazing food !!!

Today, I visited this store and had an awful experience. First, I waited in line for a long time before anyone woke up to bring me a tray and tongs ( as per their instructions). Once I made my purchase which was over $50, I went to the other side to pick one of my items. While in that line, I realized that I had forgotten to get one more item. Th manager refused to wait on me and ordered the other employees likewise. She insisted that I must get in line again ( now there were about 7 people in line) even though I had already gone through the line. This is the most unfriendly, unprofessional experience that displays how a manager CANNOT think outside of the box to wait on customers.

Sea salt caramel iced coffee is my go to. Best tasting coffee around. And the kids love picking out fresh tasty pastries to eat.

Lovely bakery, and very organized.Tried some sweet pastries and shared a cappuccino with my wife.Loved the egg custard tart. The coconut was a tad dry. And the mixed berries also dry and berries were too few within.Lots of followers here, and selections abounded. Will try other things next time.

I just love the bakery here. The brioche bread and the egg tarts are my go to! Theyre popular for a reason. Theyre delicious. I also love the chocolate brioche bread and their sweet cream rolls. Give this place a try if you love baked breads. The price is reasonable. These chain restaurants are popular so theres usually a wait/long lines.

Great pastries and baked goods. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so my favorite cold drink is the sea salt jasmine tea and my favorite hot drink would be the taro latte.They have a great variety of sweet pastries and savory breads. If I wanted something sweet and creamy, I would get the cheese bread with cream cheese filling, custard, or the egg tarts. If I wanted something savory, the bacon cheese bread or the mushroom bread is always nice. The marble taro and brioche are also very good go tos.Whats good about all the treats is that each piece of bread is relatively cheap so its easy to try a lot of different ones they have.

I would give 5 stars but an employee was being very rude and didnt smile or anything. The food was good but 1 item was forgotten so when I went back to let them know that same employee that was rude didnt say anything just looked at my recite and went to get the cake slice and all she said was here, no smile or sorry. I work in a fast food restaurant and whatever Im feeling I never let my customers see it. I always smile and act like its a good day everyday. But I ordered another slice of cake and it was a different employee that took my order and oh my gosh she was so sweet. She wore glasses and was so kind.
