Busy during the first of October with all the students in. Its funny how the townies know it.. but they continue to do it. Some of the shelves are still kind of bare. Cranberry juice was GONE. Not that I have much to say. We are still in a pandemic. Everyone I saw was wearing masks. There were a few kids not wearing masks of course. But Im happy to see it. The carts werent in. And we had to grab from a line of them that just got brought in. Not bad. But not great.

Like going here over Wal mart there competitive with Wal mart but just much nicer

Thank you for the electric fuel up! I have never been here, I didnt realize it was a grocery AND department store. Pleasantly surprised! Hopefully, the lot and grassy area will get cleaned up a bit now that the snow has melted. Too many things my dogs tried to eat.

I used to love this store. We went there every week, sometimes twice. But now they never have enough checkers at the registers. They normally have only two!! Sometimes the lines look like communist Russia they are so long. Its sad, because the store is usually clean and well stocked, unless you are looking for a sale item.Now I either go to County Market, which I really dont like, but they bag groceries and always have checkers. Or I order as much as I can from Amazon or, sometimes I just take my giant cart full of food to the self checkout. As slow as it is it is still often faster than waiting in long lines.This isnt covid new or staff shortage new, its been going on a long time.Meijer, a once great store.

Meier has great variety, but standing in line because they only have TWO check outs open makes us never want to come again. I dont care about saving you money and using the scan checkers ... Ill go somewhere that still values service!

Charger is great, outside has trash overflowing looks like the outside isnt cared for at all. Inside seems ok, bathrooms not that clean. Good selection of things inside, Meijer is normally great this one appears to lack mgmt or something.

7pm on Monday 2 cashier and I side open lines of people 8 deep .after 1/2 hours waiting for full service got checked out. Unbelievable why people would leave $22 Ribeye steaks in magazines rack along with ground beef. Said something to cashier she said oh well.

Several weeks ago, I was at self-checkout shortly before closing time and I made several errors, like putting coupons into the bin marked coupons instead of scanning them first, desperately looking for a $20 off purchase coupon in my purse and a few others involving entering incorrect codes for produce. While there wasnt a line, all stations were in constant use and only 1 attendant on duty. Found out her name is Rebecca Tester. She was helping every customer who needed help, and still found the time and patience to calm me, help me and did so with a smile, with grace and total professionalism. She showed the same courtesy to all shoppers, even so her station was the only check-out option at that time and she was only attendant in the store. I dont know if you hand out gold stars to exceptional employees, but whatever it is, I hope she gets 2 of them.

Done doing order pick up here. You arent able to use your coupons bc the pickers are incompetent at locating the items so you either wont get the discount, or wont get the item all together. The only reason Ive ever used this place was bc of the deals.....now that I cant get them, there is no reason to come back so my order can get shorted, altered, or just straight up missing and not finding out until i am already home.

Little more expensive than Walmart, but higher quality products. Customer service could be better though

I drive from Decatur area to shop at Champaigns store. Staff are always helpful. Fresh food is the best and selection is excellent.

A great grocery store. But wait theres more! It also has clothes, toys, hardware, and about anything else you could want. I use it primarily for a grocery store but I always know that the other stuff is there if I need it

Generally clean and a surprisingly calm environment for a grocery store. Preferable over the Prospect shopping locations.

We dont have a Meijer anywhere near where I live. I am quite pleased with their inventory and the cleanliness of the store.

Ive rated Meijer because Ive always got good service there,I know there may be other opinions that say otherwise but Im speaking for me,and Im sure they got problems like everyone else but I like them,and though Im behind Walmart in Champaign (great store)I have been known to even visit Urbana Meijer cause I like the business. Now that Im 51 yrs. and not 28,I have to cut back on my visits to their donut department but its all good I can deal with that.

This store never enforced the mask mandate, for its customers or its employees, their pharmacy screwed up my wifes medications so many times she regularly had to go without, which is a life-threatening issue, and to top it off for years now their system consistently has refused to accurately read Illinois LINK cards, often forcing me to pay out of pocket for food that I frankly could not afford, despite there being plenty of money in my account. The employees typically refuse to even attempt to assist, and when they do, all they are ever willing to do is check your balance, which doesnt help in the slightest because their system doesnt read the correct balance. I have never had this issue at any store other than Meijer.As a final note- almost every time I have gotten a Meijer-brand dairy product from this location, it has already been rotten when I first open it up.

Car shown was a lady with 2 toddlers that almost ran down 3 pedestrians with full carts walking to their vehicle, and almost hit my car driving on wrong side of parking lot side, all to sequester a parking spot doing least 35+ mph by grocery entrance. Nearly hit a parked car too. 8:12 pm, 10-03-21

Literally cannot find it anywhere else! I would recommned next time youre headed to Walmart to check out Meijer as well!

Quality of produce and product selection is up there with any other Meijer, which in my opinion is top notch. Knocked a star of for being a little run down. Still is clean.

Everytime we got here we cant ever find someone that works there. I had to call them on the phone to ask where something was located at, just to get told it would be here, here or here....and this is exactly why Illstick to Walmart.

Meijer is a great store, their personnel is friendly, very good prices and wide selection to choose from on mostly everything.

Its clean, brightly lit, and usually not too crowded during non peak times when I go Like everyone they are a little short staffed right now but they are doing their best.

I agree with others. This place deserves 0 stars. Every time i come here the shelves are EMPTY and their food is ROTTEN. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. They never serve fresh food. This store is a FOOD HAZARD! And needs to be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY and FEDERALLY INVESTIGATED. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! .

What is happening at this store with service? They seemed to be understaffed, and I get that we’re in a pandemic, and we appreciate all those who show up daily. Yesterday evening I stood at the customer service counter that seemed abandoned. There were 5 customers behind me, and no employee in sight. I saw an associate walk by and asked if he knew where the staff was, and he said he didn’t work in the front. Ok, can you call someone? He finally made it to a phone and a helpful gentleman appeared. I get the sense this guy was on his way to a break or assigned somewhere else, but he stepped in to help because there was a line. I was at the store because I was overcharged by the cashier and didn’t realize it until I made it home. After having to “work” to find someone I feel like I should have been given compensation for my effort. I already have to scan my groceries in the self-checkout because there aren’t enough cashiers. Is Meijer going to give me a W-2 since I’m putting in all this free labor?I also notice that the produce section was once one of the best in town but it often looks disheveled or sparse. I hope they figure it out and get some better service or I’ll have to take my business where the service resides, and that’s on Mary had a little 🐑 lamb!

I would gave them 0 if there was such an option. I have been shopping here for a couple of years since we moved to the area. The only reason I have been shopping here is the variety of cleaning products. I will probably stop shopping here. It was always an issue with a number of open registers and I switched to self service option even though sometimes I had more items then the limit of 20 allows. It was never a problem and it was always the fastest way for checking out. Today I wasn’t allowed to do self check out in a rude manner. So, I swallowed it and went to the register lines. Today they have more of them opened, but the speed of the service was the slowest I have ever experienced in years in different states in the USA .

They always have fresh food. I like Meijer a lot. I recommend to go there earlier in a day because they may be lack of some vegetables later of the day.

Was looking for clearances in cloths. They were 50% off. Still pretty expensive. So I did not buy any clothes. Christmas items are 70% off. Got a few things.

The assistant that look after the pet section are Rule! I came here to buy gold fish, I ask for assistant first, I came here first!. there is another customer waiting too, when the assistant take care the aquariums came out and without asking who came here first, when I try to tell her what fish I need, she immediately ORDER me to stop . She looks older then me but I am 52 year old too, I dont need you to teach me Madam! lucky the other customer told her I came first. no apology just treat it nothing happened. wow!

Love this store. Most employees are nice and its always super clean. We cant help but get porterhouse steaks everytime we get groceries because 90% of the time they are cheaper than at Walmart! Im new to the area so it will take time to memorize where everything is, but thats not Meijers fault! 😊

Im blown away by the level of disrespect my gf & I were shown here. What happened to the customer always being right? We were not rude or disrespectful to anyone...we did nothing to warrant the treatment we got here. We went around 11 & after 1130 they announced the time every 4-5 minutes. They wanted everyone up front by 1145. When we asked them to open the jewelry counter at 1120 we were told that they were too close to closing to help us (this comment came with a sneer and a brush off as did every other request for help)..when we asked a 2nd time the person who came was constantly looking at his watch and was very rude and condescending to us. He said he couldnt help us because this wasnt his department and it was very obvious he couldnt wait for us to go. We were out by 1150 after being told at least 25 times (no exaggeration) that they were closing soon. Ill never ever go back to any meijer again. It was like the twilight zone. Ive never experienced such downright awful people in my life.

Meijer has everything you will ever need, and you will never feel like you are overpaying.Need makeup? Meijer has it. Need craft beer? Meijer has it. I mean, I havent really checked but they might have a pet porcupine if you look really hard.Will you pay the same price as Target? No, it will be cheaper!Ive had nothing but great conversations with their staff, and they are always so kind, generous, and helpful. Just wish they did wedding cakes.

Pretty good. I like it more than target. But the stuff isnt as much as Walmart. Usually very clean. Shame it isnt 24 hour. That really shafts the night shift workers during the pandemic who need to buy things on their way home from work. But they arent the only ones doing it.

Staff is usially friendly, but cleanliness is starting to suffer lately. Hope they get they tightened up soon

Meijer has the best deals! The store is always clean, shelves are regularly restocked, and there are always registers open. Staff members are super helpful and knowledgeable about where to find specific products in their store. I highly recommend shopping at the Champaign Meijer.

Produce bags are impossible to get apart. Also- not always a great produce selection. Notice I said selection, not variety.. it’s great that there are off the wall ingredients for who knows what?! But could you just keep basil regularly stocked too..?

The selection is great, especially with produce and they are similarly priced compared to Walmart. I did an online order with identical items at Walmart and Meijer and Meijers total was only $0.30 more than Walmart. Hoping to try their bag as you shop option next time. The self checkout lanes were very slow though.

This is the store I do the majority of my grocery shopping. The produce selection is very good along with the deli & bakery. I highly recommend using their mperks app.
