I made an appointment for a Saturday morning to have my brakes changed. My car was shaking when I would come to a stop. My husband advised I get new rotors also. I had dropped the vehicle off so when they called me to tell me what they found I was advised my rotors did not need to be replaced yet and that they could be resurfaced. I agreed brakes were changed paid almost $300. When I left I noticed my brakes were squeaking, they were not squeaking when I took the car there. When I called I was advised that it could take a little while for every thing to break in and get right.after 2 weeks they were still squeaking so I called back and was told to bring it in they could see what was going on. So I dropped the car off again. When they called me they told me it was a bad brake pad they had placed and that they had put a new one on and the car was ready. When I picked up the vehicle as I was about to turn out my hood wasnt shut completely. My husband shut the hoof- small oversight but could have been a big issue. I went home that day and parked the vehicle it drove home fine. My kids were on quarantine so the car stayed parked for 5 days. On the 6th day I took my kids to school and it made a weird sound when I stopped I was on an incline and thought maybe something is adjusting. I was going down the road and when I came to a stop the car started grinding and sounded like I was scraping metal against concrete. I immediately went back to Brakes for Less and left the car- I was on the way to work. I received a call shortly later that the good news is they found the problem bad news is I need new rotors. I explained that it should not be at my expense since not a month prior I was told my rotors were fine and she advised me that the bad brake pad had eaten and warped the rotor. I replied again with that should not be my expense you have said it was the brake pad that caused the issue at hand. Long story short another $307 for new rotors. Never again.

They were great! Didnt try to oversell me anything, fixed exactly what needed fixing & the cost was extremely reasonable. I was in and out really quickly! They will definitely get my repeat business!

Service in 10/2016 replace pads and surface rotor. Excellent. Did not need anything until 3/17/21. Tim not only explained what I needed, he also told me what was not needed. Drove off and no squeak, and wow I really needed brakes for a while because they feel awesome now! Had appointment and car was done on time. Highly recommend this location!

Went to get my brakes fixed cause they sometimes made a noise. They removed all 4 tires, checked everything out & told me my brakes were fine. Could have went ahead and fixed them & charged me, but they didnt. They were honest & when my brakes need fixing, Ill definitely go there. Was only there 30 minutes.

Took my sons truck to Tires Choice to have a brake inspection because there was a squealing sound when he stopped. A quote of $1800plus & they were serious about him needing all new front & back pads, rotors, calipers & lines. I took it to Brakes 4Less for another opinion & after the gentleman inspected the brakes he told us the back brakes were definitely bad.... pads, rotors & one caliper & the only thing he would recommend for the front was new pads, but that was up to us because there wasnt anything wrong with the front. $650 & an hour later all new pads, 2 new rotors, 1 caliper with warranty, a hand shake & peace of mind knowing my son can drive his truck & stop when needed. Thanks guys for being honest.

I was very grateful to have found this place. As a travel nurse away from home and everyone I know Tim, was very helpful and was able to get me in right away to have my brakes replaced. I went to the Breaks 4 Less on Sam Rittenberg. Mr. Tim Reeves is awesome he helped me out when I really needed it and they took my car soon as I got there. I checked in they took my car evaluated it and let me know what was wrong and how much it costed before working on. Which helped a lot to know what I really need and what could wait. Made an appt in advance, confirmed 2x before bringing vehicle that they had the “179” brakes for my vehicle. During their “inspection” they found many many things that just so happened to “need to be replaced”. This is a newer vehicle, and doesn’t need any of the things named. I declined all the extra, And just requested the brakes and they said, oh we don’t have the 179 for your vehicle, but we have these for 269. When asked why they didn’t have them when I called and confirmed that they did, no answer and was told they would not argue with me about it. They took apart many things that didn’t need to be taken apart during their inspection. They got very mad that I declined to have any services done at this point. While I was in the office, my husband called corporate and the woman in the office got a call from them and she lied to her and told her that my husband and I had a “heated argument” in the store and my husband was not even present with me. They lie and scam. Every other person checking out in there had lots of other problems as well, and to no surprise didn’t have the 179 brakes for their vehicles either. Did not see one person step out with their keys without a 500-600$ bill. All the red flags were there, rude staff, lying staff, overcharging and taking advantage of vulnerable people during this time, and left me with the worry of getting my kids home safe from fear of malfunctioning parts that functioned fine when I arrived.STAY AWAY! Do not come here!!!

The Manager Tim greeted me upon arrival as I was totally stressed out about a used car I had just bought and another garage said I needed @$1400 in repairs incl brakes, rotors, CV joints and tie rods. My car sounded like it was falling apart on the drive there and I expected ANYTHING but GOOD NEWS and thats what I got from Tim and his staff. He SHOWED me all my brakes rotors etc were in great shape and the noise I was hearing was a LOOSE WHEEL that was about to fall off from the other garage not fastening it tightly when they inspected it. All I needed was 1 tie rod then he spent the rest of the time repairing the damage done to my wheel studs from them being loose from the negligence of the other garage. He would not quit until my car was perfect. Grand Total $200 UNBELIEVABLE!, Men with his integrity are rare these days and would recommend anyone not just go to THIS Brakes4Less for good value but for EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICE!

Not sure about them. Had my brakes done, a couple of weeks later still heard squeaking. Took car back, they drove it and heard nothing. Well that was 11 months ago. The last couple of days, I heard the brakes grind when I was driving and it got worse and worse. Took car to different store Sam Rittenberg) and was again told it was fine...maybe just some brake dust. Coincidentally, the customer in front of me came in with the same complaint about the same location, Northwoods. Ive decided to take it to a different place altogether because I heard what I heard. Jury is still out.

Brought my Toyota 4runner in yesterday after the steering wheel was violently shaking whenever I braked. John, the manager, was awesome! Came in for a brake job, and found out my car needed quite a bit more work than I thought. After a thorough inspection, Tim explained what was needed, and made some recommendations that saved me a lot of money. Quick service and good prices.

Tim the new manager and his main technician were wonderful to interact with! He recommended only what I needed and not more for sales. Being a prior vet like the both of them, I felt like they really cared to give me good service. Midas and Speedee quoted me double the price!

They told me that both front calipers and rotors needed to be replaced along with brake hoses. The estimate they gave me was about $1100. I bought the parts online and did it myself (but skipped the brake hoses) for around $500 only to find that didnt fix the issue. Then I went and bought the brake hoses and replaced those (each one was $35) and that fixed the issue. To their credit maybe it all really did need to be replaced. But I do wish they would have put in some effort to start small and hopefully save me $1000. Also I went to three other places that said the same thing. But I still think it would have been wiser to replace a $35 brake hose first to see if thats the issue before ripping out the entire front end brake system and replacing it.

Went there to get my front brake pads replaced. Was supposed to be $129+tax. An hour after his employee took my truck apart, of course there was over $1000 worth of work that needed to be done. I told the man to put my truck back together because my husband said he would fix it himself. All of a sudden the price dropped to $354+tax.

Attempted Geralds twice. You cant make an appt. Its first come, first served. The second time I went I was there at 6:40 (almost an hour before opening). The line was around the building at 7:30, like it was an effing nightclub. They told me, without looking at the car, that it would be a 3-5 hr drop-off with their backlog. And thats being the first one in the door. So first come, first served is more of a weekly thing, not a daily thing. Brakes 4 Less opened at 8 and was 1.2 miles away. They looked at my car, reviewed the condition before starting the work, telling me I only needed pads on the front and fluid change. $269 and I was out in an hour and a half.

I made an appointment to get my brakes done, the sign says $179. When I took it for my appointment, they told me it would cost $500! How tf?

I brought my car in bc the brake wear indicator light was on. Turns out the pads were fine, it was just a faulty sensor wire. They were honest about it and told me I didnt need new brakes. Due to their honesty and professionalism, Ill definitely be back.

Typically men will take advantage of women when they try to take care of car business for themselves. I do not go anywhere else if Im having issues with my vehicle (unless its something they just cant do). I recently got my brakes replaced, and today rotors. I recently purchased a older Grand Cherokee. Ran great but the front brakes were shot. Little did I know that it was MUCH more than that. A bearing broke and required a replacement. Not only did the guys fix the issue for me, they kept me updated on every step and made SURE I was taken care of.The Manager, Rob, was extremely knowledgeable and TRULY went above and beyond for me.The Tech, Matt, was prompt, honest, and also, made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way! (Even though I know he wanted to blow this truck up)If you need brakes or service... dont even waste your time going anywhere else!

I got my brakes done somewhere else, but there was a clunking noise afterwards, so I brought them here to have them checked out. Tim was very helpful, did a thorough check and confirmed that the clunking was not due to faulty brake replacement, and he didnt even charge me. Gave me great peace of mind. Next time I will be back to Brakes-4-Less to get them done.

After calling around to Geralds, Firestone, and Midas, Brakes-4-Less offered the best deal on changing and replacing brake pads and rotors (1/3 of the cost of everywhere else)! Firestone and Midas insisted that given the age of my vehicle, Id have to replace both the pads and rotors and then proceeded to quote me and try and have me come in for a *free* evaluation.... As a female, we all know that that means theyll try and oversell to me simply because Im a female.... After bringing my car into Brakes-4-Less, Hector showed me my brake pads and explained that my brake pads and rotors were actually fine; the issue was my master cylinder. Hector worked with me to replace and install the master cylinder for a price you seriously cant beat. Its been 3 months and I havent had any issues at all. The honesty and professionalism of Hector was much appreciated.

The entire crew was friendly and made me at ease. Car is driving like a champ, and will try to post an update in 30 days to let everyone know if it still is. 15% on Wednesday is the deal!!! In and out in an less than an hour and half.

Terrible! The $159 price on the business and website isn’t real. I only needed rear brakes and they somehow convinced my husband that we should get this package that replaced all brakes . I just had the front brakes done! When I called to stop it, the guy said, ”your husband agreed to it!” and that it was already done so there was nothing they could do. I had to pay more than double the price advertised! I then learned from my coworkers about multiple situations like that, that happened to them. They’re a scam!!!!!
