Jacqueline and Meredith were great, both very humble and beautiful people. It was por first time here we were looking for a good dessert place after a big dinner and they were the first place that came up. The desserts are amazing very fresh and delicious. We had the baileys cheesecake and an Espresso ☕️ both were so good.We definitely recommend GalaYvonne and Angelo from Charlotte NC

I had the turkey panini and chocolate mousse cake. They both were very good. Friendly staff as well.

Quaint family owned small business for coffee and desserts. Baileys cheesecake was the best cheesecake my husband and I have every had, and neither of us are fans of cheesecake!! So dense and not super sweet. But looked like a beautiful selection of other goodies too.

Jaclyn was great to work with! I was on a time crunch and our wedding cake and desserts were the last things I had left to book. Despite some dietary restrictions and a quickly approaching date, she pulled through with the most amazing cake and desserts. No one was able to tell that it was gluten-free and the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend choosing Gala Desserts for your event!

Lovely little place with good desserts. Has gluten free which was great. Not cheap if thats what youre looking for. Parking was a bit of a bother but otherwise Id definitely go back.

This place is PERFECT for client meetings! Great food, so much more than coffee and desserts. The sandwiches, salads, and skewers are all phenomenal. But the desserts are obviously the crown jewel. Fabulously decorated in a hip yet cozy way. Very personalized service. Highly suggest.

We got our wedding cake here along with some cupcakes for the kids. The cake was amazing! It was beautiful as well as tasty. Our only complaint is the lack of communication from the owner. Every time we tried to call, someone else answered who said wed have to contact her by email, which she rarely answered in a timely fashion.

Gala Desserts on Savannah Highway in West Ashley has delicious desserts that are well worth a visit to check out. The location is very convenient to many restaurants for an after meal dessert or for a snack during the middle of the day. They have an excellent selection of desserts that make it hard to choose from sometimes, but there is no wrong choice as everything I have tried has been really good.

Great coffee, delicious deserts and very cool decorating vibe. Sweet owner too.

Delicious desserts, and also a great spot for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They make good lattes, and it’s nice to sit outside at their outdoor bistro tables.

Best dessert shop in Charleston. The owner makes her own chocolate and its so good. Her coffee drinks and teas are great on a cold night. The desserts are really good and so filling you can split it with another which is the best part of this small shop. Its so cozy and quiet and they take such good care of you. Ive been here a number of times late at night alone with my wife and had that personal service touch that makes you feel so special from the staff it makes it kind of romantic. If youve never been you should go. You wont be disappointed.

Cute and cozy cafe offering rad desserts and drinks. We came here following a birthday dinner and was very pleased with the service. In lieu of a birthday cake, everyone picked their own dessert and the server was sweet enough to procure a lit candle for the birthday girl. Highly recommend this place if youre out and about in Avondale.

I’ve just started writing reviews and I realize how important they are. Gala Desserts is my go-to bakery for any and all occasions. Jaclyn is a sweetheart and her cakes are delicious!! You will not be disappointed! She is a busy business owner and I know she will stay in business for a very long time! She was able to move up a cake order for me when my plans fell through. Her staff is amazing as well! I’ve ordered at least 6-7 cakes since she’s opened and her sweets that are inside the shop for purchase make great Teachers’ gifts for Christmas, hint hint :)

The lattee was splendid! Its local, shabby- chic, and yummy. They even serve high tea for adults and kids. My daughter will love this for her birthday! The staff has good rapport with regular customers, and I enjoyed my first visit with one of those regulars. Definitely coming back.

I love this place. Wife and I have been here quite a few times for coffee and dessert. I have also come by myself to have a coffee and work on my laptop. It has a really cool decor- a bit whimsical but not at all overdone. Very homely feeling unlike the sterile chain type places that are so popular. The coffee is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. I dont always have dessert but what I have had was quite good. My favourite coffee shop in Charleston!

I love this place! It’s so warm and welcoming and their desserts are top notch! It’s the perfect place for a cup of coffee with a friend or a cozy date night.

When you walk in you’re instantly drawn to the beautiful dessert case displaying dozens of handmade treats that will soothe any sweet tooth! I personally love to grab a caramel cappuccino and one of her cheesecakes to keep me motivated while I sit down in her comfy chairs for a few hours of studying.

I ordered a custom cake for a birthday. Cake looked nothing like the picture I sent. Looked very thrown together. Communication was also horrible. And definitely overpriced for the quality of product.

Gala is an incredible bakery and coffee shop. The decor makes for an inviting stay. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Any of the coffee drinks, pastries or cocktails you would want there are absolutely delicious! A personal favorite!

Im not a fan. The desserts are pretty good, but its like you interrupted the employees to get anything. There are better desserts in town and better atmosphere. Go there.

If you’re having a bad day, go here. If you’re having a good day, go here. Just go here! The employees are so friendly and are passionate about what they do. They’re excited to explain what each dessert contains and the ingredients that make them so tasty. The Bailey’s cheesecake, cookie and cream cake, and peanut butter mousse are my favorites!

This place was in all word simplistically perfect. There hours are amazing for those taking a late night stroll and just wanting a quaint place to stop in. Their desserts were absolutely phenomenal. My husband ordered the key lime cheesecake, and I ordered the chocolate mousse cake, and it was just exquisite. We will definately be back!

We ordered 2 brown sugar lattes and one was entirely made of milk. The other was obviously missing the brown sugar syrup. When we said something about the unsatisfactory drinks, the barista merely apologized and reached her hand out for the payment. Though she offered a complimentary drink, she seemed confused why we were unhappy with the orders despite the 2 lattes not even being the same color. We weren’t sure she could even make us a satisfactory drink so we refused the offer and no other compensation was offered. In fact, she handed us a receipt and ran away, leaving us alone at the counter without even a goodbye. We will not be back.

Lovely little dessert shop. Convenient location. Only problem was the service. Lady was closing up and was not very helpful or knowledgeable - should could have been more friendly.

Great little coffee and dessert place in Avondale. Can hang out and enjoy coffee. (or a grown-up drink) and something sweet, or just pick something to go. They tend to have some mainstays and then a rotating selection of new offerings. Staff are always very friendly, and it had a nice relaxed feel.

What a great place. We stopped there on Saturday evening for dessert. Desserts were fabulous and the cappuccino was first rate. Cant wait to go back and try some lunch options.

The ladies who run this dessert shop deserve every penny they make. Their pumpkin cheesecake is subtly spiced in a way that accentuates the pumpkin flavor. Quite delicious and looking forward to our next visit!

Jaclyn created our wedding cake and it was phenomenal. We chose the vanilla cake w/ the raspberry filling, and a stucco style icing. She helped me pick the sizes based on our guest list. She was wonderful to work with and did a wonderful job setting up.She also helped me surprise my husband w/ a grooms cake. I showed her what I would like on there (Star Wars related) and she did a great job. The Grooms cake was in her cookies and cream flavor. If you like chocolate and oreos, you absolutely must get the cookies and cream. I had it for breakfast before we left for our honeymoon. :)I can not say enough about how nice it was to work with Jaclyn, or enough about how amazing her cake tasted. Try something in her adorable shop, and I am certain you will agree!

This place is absolutely delightful. My mother and I just happened by it on the way to a boutique, and we decided to peak in for a cup of coffee. We ended up sitting at a table and eating the most delicious breakfast. The atmosphere is lovely, the food was light but filling (and so flavorful), and the service was topnotch. The entire place smells and looks like a dessert lovers dream, but it is so much more. They have yummy liqueurs to put in your coffee (Baileys, please!), beautiful, freshly-baked cakes, pastries, and cinnamon rolls on display, and sweet music playing that isnt too loud.Their menu, in addition to breakfast and baked goods/desserts, also includes a wonderful tapas selection. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. I highly recommend this place, and the next time I visit Charleston I will definitely be back!

The cutest little café you will find in Charleston! The desserts look divine (I didnt order any but they looked so pretty), and the coffee was delicious. Plenty of good dairy-free options. I will be back soon for one of their reservation-only tea ceremonies.

Absolutely incredible! I highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake needs. Jaclyn is truly a talented artist that delivered to us the wedding cake of our dreams. The opera flavor is so delicious, we will probably have it for all our future birthday cakes.

Working in food and bev for 10 years and eating all over Charleston, I can say this is the best chocolate mousse cake Ive had in this town. Ambience is perfect for a couple to enjoy a great dessert at the end of a perfect day.

I would have given it 0 stars but that’s not an option. I was just out after dinner looking for dessert and found this on google. The Oreo cake and the sugar cookie I paid $9.50 was not good at all!! The Oreo cake was mine and it was hard and disgusting!! It didn’t taste like Oreo at all!! I think it’s been sitting in there for weeks it was sooo nasty🤢 Maybe I came on the last day of the cake or something but it was not what the reviews said!! Just trying to save someone that isn’t from the area and Just googling like myself 😣

Came in for breakfast while having my car worked on at Geralds. The service was excellent as soon as I walked in the door! Very polite and courteous, the lady working there saw me pull out my laptop and offered me the WiFi password without me having to ask (I was just going to use my personal hotspot, so I appreciate saving the data). And the Sausage and Egg bagel was AMAZING. Highly recommend this place for breakfast!

Incredible Peanut Butter Mousse dessert! The pesto mozza panini was also great, as was the cappuccino. The dessert case is a picture of deliciousness and their presentations are superb. All around a great experience.

I went to this place for a job interview they are a little pricey but it has a Mediterranean European Flair the owner is Italian and very knowledgeable and professional if you want a true Italian or european dessert this is the place to go
