Many thanks to David and Dylan for taking on all the tuning responsibilities for the 2021 Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival. It was a full schedule, with piano music in all five of the series concerts as well as the extra events. Because they were so reliable and responsive, they brought a sense of calmness to what might otherwise be chaotic concert days.Special thanks to Dylan for bringing both the venues pianos up to their top performance level. Cant imagine how difficult a task that must have been given their condition from lack of use during the pandemic, but his willingness to perform expert multiple tunings kept the Festival pianists - and audiences - happy!

I sent out a request for an emergency piano tuning late one night and heard back first thing the next morning from David. He was able to schedule my tuning in the short time frame I had with one of his technicians. Lucas arrived on time and took the time to explain the process to me, answer all of my questions and give his first impressions of the piano we had just purchased. The piano had not be tuned in ages so a second tuning was required, which I was told within minutes of beginning the first tuning. Another tuning was scheduled then and there, and Lucas again arrived on time, was extremely helpful and professional. David came to the building during the tuning to check in on things and introduce himself. I was very impressed by both David and Lucas and they we will be calling them for all of our piano needs!

David does a wonderful job in tuning our baby grand piano. He is very knowledgeable and reliable. If you need help in moving or storing your piano, he is very good at steering you to the right place. Many of our neighbors use David to tune their pianos.

David Weiss is a master piano technician. He has been servicing our 1967 Yamaha G2 piano for many years now. In 2017, with the piano fifty years old, it was time to rebuild the action. David skillfully removed the action, took it to his shop, and rebuilt it as needed. Th re-installation was most precisely accomplished with the result that the piano has performed as if brand new. This was done in timely and cost effective manner.David has also devoted his skills to maintaining the Yamaha C2 piano in the lobby of Martha Jefferson Hospital. I would recommend David without hesitation or equivocation.

David Weiss has been invaluable in keeping my piano in top shape for nearly eight years. I initially asked him to tune a piano that had gone badly off during a move, and subsequently worked with him to keep that piano in tune in an apartment with wildly fluctuating temperatures and humidity. When we were looking to purchase a piano in the fall of 2009, a dear friend and professional soprano recommended that we hire a piano tuner to inspect pianos before we made the big purchase. I reached out to my boys music teacher at their elementary school, and she recommended David Weiss. After David inspected a number of pianos at Charlottesville Piano and walked us through each one, he recommended a Kawai that we still love to this day. Since the purchase, David has been our piano tuner and tunes our piano every 6 months. He also installed a water unit to our piano to help maintain the integrity of the piano. David is very professional and highly skilled, arriving to every appointment on time. There have been times, due to my work schedule, where Ive had to leave a key for him to enter our home for the piano tuning; I have trusted David and felt very comfortable letting him tune with no one home.
