I cant even begin to tell you how uncomfortable the workers in the store made me.EVERY single one of them came up to me asking if I was okay or needed help finding anything. Its their job, but having them CONSTANTLY ask while Im just trying to shop, is not ok. I could not go 5 minutes without someone coming up to me. One of the workers even noticed how many times people were coming up to me and apologized. I felt so uncomfortable and ruled out.There wasnt even that many people in the store and I was the only one they kept targeting. Im not sure if this was for racial reasons or theyre just terrible in general. Never coming back.
This afternoon i went into Sephora and Mrs. Rachel greeted me and help me find what I need it fast &quick and very knowledgeable about the product she was selling me .
This week I went to Sephora in Cherry Hill Mall between 11:00 am -12: 00 and was attended by a young woman of oriental race, at the time she is charging me for the items a call came to my cell phone and while I was talking I paid her for two items and I left the store without realizing that she had kept an item. When I am walking to leave the premises I checked inside the bag and I only had one item. I returned immediately and complained that I was missing an item, I saw that she had it in front of her without having made any action to deliver it to me before I left the store. I could clearly see that this person tried to steal the product that I had already purchased. I want to emphasize that I have been a customer of Sephora from Cherry Hill NJ for more than 20 years and with that bad action of that person I will never return to that store, I no longer see it as before
Yep - one review after another describing bad customer service - I have shopped here and received very good service in the past, but this Christmas season, I was ignored the entire time I was browsing. That is unacceptable in any business. I love JCP, and I don’t think the store’s revenue is going to be helped by rude employees. The girl saw me trying to make eye contact, and simply gave me a dirty look. Really? It’s painful for people like me who were raised in a polite society. Sephora isn’t cheap- it doesn’t cost anything to greet a customer.
I love their customer service ! Christina helped me pick a foundation that matched my face and Lauren gave me a facial. They were both real nice and helpful. Also, they do a great job with applying make up. :)
Olga in the main Sephora was amazing and so sweet! I showed her a picture of a look Im trying to create for prom and she helped me pick out the perfect colors. It didnt feel like she was just trying to sell me, she showed the sephora collection when I told her I was on a budget. When I said I didnt feel like it was pigmented enough, she showed me the proper way to use primer to bring out the pigments and how to blend the colors to make it look just like I wanted! I just tried out the look and it looks perfect!!
About three weeks ago I went into Sephora looking for a new foundation, I usually shop at Nordstrom but thought I would give this store a try. Well I purchased a new foundation and primer that I have never worn before. I asked the lady if i do not like it what is the return possible she said up to 30days with your receipt . Went to register to pay for this and the lady behind the counter said oh you get a free gift with this purchase. She provided with a box that had trial sizes in there of the primer and face mist with asponge. I again said this is free she said yes. I spent $75.00 on the two products. Used it one time did not like how it looked on my skin, brought it back with my receipt, to exchange it for what I usually wear which is Dior . She proceed to tell me that I would owe $10.00, i said how is that possible if I paid $75.00 and you just told me the both of those products rang up to $53.00 something is wrong. You would owe me the difference of what i paid. She said oh you are right. She proceed to get her manager, who then decided to fight with me and tell me that because I did not have the box (mind you the free trial box, that I was told was NO cost to me) with me she could not do the exchange. I said i am sorry how is that possible . She went on to argue with me about it. I said this is absolutely insane, that was a free GIFT, I paid $75.00 yet when you go to return the two products they only come up to $53.00, so you over charged me or charged for the free box ( which is a scam) . She said no we did not I said yes you did, it is on my receipt a charge to my credit card of $75.00 and now i can not exchange them because I do not have the free box that was given to me. I asked for the corporate information and she refused to give it to me. I will never purchase another thing in this store. Worse customer service ever.
Worst customer service ever!!!!! Workers are super rude! Today I called the store to ask just “1” question and the lady who answered was so rude when I asked the question I wanted to know! When you work with customer and you are in the beauty service they should treat people nice. My husband called the manager after what happened and they really didn’t care about it. I don’t plan to go back to this store but I’m already bringing it more farther to a Sephora Regional manager and giving this person the store manager name so they can really improve their service. I am surprise about the reviews in here about this store! I hope I can help morePeople that don’t go and talk to someone with a higher position as a regional manager and stay quiet!
Worse customer service!! I only go there because it was convenient but I’m so done. I will never shop at that Sephora again, but I will walk right pass it n go to the REAL Sephora in the mall which has really professional nice employees unlike the jcpenny Sephora Every worker there has a bad attitude, rude, not helpful at all and just mean.
It’s my birthday and Billy made me feel horrible. Terrible customer service and She wouldn’t give me the phone number to the other Sephora because she said “I’m too busy I have a whole store of customers” as if I wasn’t one. I would never hire her to work for me, not sure how she got the job. When you guys clean house, get rid of her!
Bought a moisturizer from here. Got home and it had clearly already been used. I went back to exchange for a new one, but I couldn’t find my receipt. Some manager came over and was super annoying and rude. She eventually allowed it but took my ID and name down.... soo I guess always make sure the store hasn’t let people stick their fingers in your stuff before you buy it.
I went in to do an exchange and that went great. But once I looked around for other stuff I asked one of the girls for help and she was not helpful she said to make an appointment and then walked away. I proceeded to make the appointment but then changed my mind and cancelled. I work customer service and that was not a professional way to help a customer.
Very unprofessional environment. The girl did not greet me when I walked in, they all stood around having personal conversations and when I asked them to help me pick out a shade they said okay and never came to help. They stood around staring at me and my cousin the entire time, to be honest I felt super uncomfortable. Will never shop at this location again get some new employees! Next time I’ll ask for names.
I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews, I guess those workers wasntthere today. Today was my first visit ever there and it was great. A lady by the name Cyndee help find my foundation match she was very helpful and patient. A lady by the name of Steph was helpful too. I will definitely be back.

With my last experience at Sephora in Deptford mall (to make a long story short I was mistreated and left the store crying.) I was quite hesitant about going into Sephora again nearly a year later. After being with Cyndee she made me welcomed. I was blown away by her customer service. She made me feel beautiful again and I couldnt ask for more. Thank you Cyndee please dont change!
I bought Too Faced Mascara for my best friend for Christmas last week. When I gave my friend her gift she opened the box and it was empty. She went back to explain what happened and to try and get a new one. The girl was extremely rude and told me it was all my fault.I take some blame to it because I usually check but I was in a hurry. But, shouldnt your employees be more aware of people stealing and also check boxes before everyone checks out so we can avoid these problems? The attitudes from your employees are unappreciated and not helpful whatsoever!
The girls in there are so rude, also seem to hate their job or life I cannot tell. It was so bad I even said something at the check out line and again, were so rude. screw that place Ill never shop there again.also I have a baby and they were huffing and puffing at my stroller bc they had to walk around me and when I apologized for being in the way she just rolled her eyes.yup nothing is worth going back there for .and FYI I spent alot of money there that they will be losing out on i walk out with at least 500.00 everytime.
Horrible customer service. Bought these lashes that I never wore just opened them and they tried to tell me they don’t take used lashes even though I specifically told them I never wore them. Obviously if I wore them I wouldn’t try to take them back. Even spoke to a manager in which just wasted more time. I’m definitely convinced they resell used products if they don’t look used. I never liked the Sephora in cherry gill to begin with. All the workers are always occupied by each other and never look approachable. Better customer service at J.C. Penney or Sephora in deptford mall.
