Had a great experience today returning a used bass I bought online from a different location. The bass was very obviously not in excellent condition when it arrived, so I went to this location to return it. I cant remember their name but the manager was really polite and understanding and made the whole process quick and easy. Will definitely pick up my future gear from this location. Thanks!

This is a great place to go and buy your musical instruments. Awesome customer service and knowledgeable personnel. They help you out picking the right instrument for you. If you don’t feel good with the one you got they allow you to change it for the one that better fits your needs. The guy changing the strings is very nice, Jesse and Mathew too. I recommend this place to anyone.

What can I say military discount and they have good used gear. Some prices arent the best but, they know enough to help you get started and most of them are friendly.

Overall disappointing but had fun. So I was looking for a 50s Les Paul. I took home a classic and the thing hummed beyond belief zero bucking. They had a another transferred same issue. So I said I’ll pay more for a standard. Come to find out the pickups are the same 61 pickups. I did play the guitar and it’s okay but I kept asking about the one with the Gibson tuners and the guy told me it was a 60s standard. Come to find out that was the 50s standard. The store manager is awesome, he had the classic set up nice for me. He can play... good dude. But he’s not always there. I picked up a cry baby on the way out the second time. I just wanted a 50s standard Les Paul and basically traded the one I bought for the same guitar with less features. I’m also pretty sure its used. It didn’t have the Gibson tool or the replacement truss rod cover.maybe it’s a return. Which is fine but I’m just a little disappointed I wanted the 57 or 59 warmer sounding pickups and now I’m stuck with basically the same guitar I walked out with. I was going to buy a PA system on the way out but all the waiting just made me take the guitar take a quick look at pa”s and get out of there. Partially my fault I should have made him pull the tobacco burst off the wall but he kept saying it’s probably a 60s and this was my second time trying to return a guitar that constantly hums. So I wanted to wait until the end of this to post an honest review. Do your research on how to identify the guitar you want before you go. I was googling in the store. Another guy was googling. Know your stuff before you get left with a cool guitar instead of a warm guitar. After the first two times I’m just gonna keep this I guess. My AFD epiphone honestly sounds better.

This is a place of great craftsmanship. I had my twelve string repaired and tuned up. A complete overhaul. I also brought them 2 mandolins and had them completely done over. One was a gift for my dear friend and brotherTheir work is second to none.

This guitar center is better than most of them. I always get the proper help here. I cant say the same at East Brunswick.

Not much inventory on the floor. I was greeted by the doorman, a very friendly man and throughout my wondering, looking for a specific acoustic guitar and amplifier that was the only interaction with an employee. There was no-one on the floor for me to ask for help, only two on the registers and when I found one on the acoustic room I was just opening my mouth asking if he could help me, he looked at me and said one moment, and he asked the girl behind me if she needed help. Mind you I got there before her, but I think he only saw the designer handbag and the fancy coat she was wearing and decided that my hoodie and my beat up crossover bag couldnt afford something there. She said that she was just looking and left and I waited for him to acknowledge my waiting for him but he continued on like I was not even there. So I quietly left and went to Sam Ash, further down on the Strip mall. If this guy was working on commission he lost a good one here. I had my eye set on a Martin 28 and I end up ordering it online. I would never again step in Guitar Center.

The Drum dept. at Guitar Center is top notch. Troy is very knowledgeable when it comes to the diverse parts and pieces of a Drum kit, and the many Percussion instruments in stock at the store.

Good selection, nice staff, but the guitars could use some better care. I think they have the widest selection of guitars and amps in the area, and the people Ive dealt with were really pleasant - they left me alone when I was browsing, and making a return was painless. But the guitars themselves could use some better maintenance - Ive come across everything from faulty electronics and inoperable pickups to setups so poor that the guitar was practically unplayable. Im sure it must take a lot to maintain so many guitars, but an effort has to be made - if someone points out that a pickup appears broken or a guitar is in dire need of a setup, maybe bring that guitar to the in-store guitar tech instead of just putting it back on the shelf?

The salesperson was very helpful and informative. I was buying some stocking stuffers for my son in law who is an avid musician and got a lot of good advice from the staff.

I used to love coming to guitar center but this time when I visited I walked in and walked around and back out. Workers were not friendly as they normally are, the displays were set up like normal, just was disappointed

I purchased a Boss GE-7 7-Band Graphic Equalizer Pedal (new). When I got it home and took it out of the box, it looked used. It had a big gash in the top and a Duracell battery was jammed in backwards and I had to pry it out. I returned it. Guitar Center has lost my business! And I wont go back. I shop at Sweetwater and have never had this problem with them.

I hate this particular Guitar Center. Their stock is much more sparse than other stores including Sam Ash in the same mall. They hide amp tubes behind the guitar desk. The reps have an attitude. Everything is horrible. Everytime I go there, I get fed up and leave. I get what I need at Sam Ash.

This Location has the Best Equiptment, Instruments, and accessories. Literally everything from A-Z!!!! The staff here are all very knowledgeable about what they sell, what they can order, what you need or may want. They are friendly, honest and work with your budget based on what youre looking to accomplish/obtain. They can help you accomplish any goal you walk in with!!! I have to give a huge shout out to Jesse James Jr who helped me go over all the vintage instruments I had. He went out if his way 100%! He went in depth to go as far as telling me their history, dating, ensuring numbers matched to confirm years, value and Much more! There was no high or low pressure1 pitch about selling or buying anything!! He listened to what I wanted and gave me what I needed!!! I will be doing all of my shopping here with this store and this staff!!!!! I can confidently write this review knowing anyone who walks in will get the same treatment. I was pretty happy. They are diligent about letting people in with masks and asking what youre shopping for beforehand. They didnt have some tools, like a fret ruler, I think that should be pretty standard but otherwise they have what you need. The used guitars look pretty beat up, needed a setup and frets tended to be marred, needed new strings etc. Prices were high for them, Im assuming they do a whole setup if you buy one, but ask about getting the frets polished or leveled as its going to be hard to play as a beginner with a poor setup.

This is a great place to find the instrument you are looking for.

There was limited stock on new and used on the display floor, I was greeted when I went in, I was asked if I needed help, I said I was just looking and I wasnt approached again.

Everyone is polite and nice! Very knowledgeable able the products, I especially love the speaker section. The have a Aux cable hooked up to a mixer so you can hear the sound of my favorite speakers. EV - Electro Voice speakers & Subwoofers

Recently purchased a Lanakai ukelele at Guitare Center. They had a good selection. Customer service was top notch... Troy was awesome. He was super patient, very thorough and so nice. I appreciated how he never rushed me and explained everything. I give him 👍👍 and definitely recommend this store.

Went in to purchase a bass guitar, amp, and some accessories for my wife who is interested in learning to play. Luke and the guys were very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. They made the purchase easy and calm my nerves about buying the right stuff by helping me understand the value of what I was getting. I highly recommend them especially for people that were in my same situation.

The place is amazing for a musician. Like a kid in a candy store. So many options to choose from. You can go for $170 starter guitars to $5000 Gibsons and more. Great place.

I’ve been coming to this Guitar Center for over 6 years. Great customer service from a great staff. Luke and Enoch in guitars always link me with just what I’m looking for. Andy and Paul are a great resource of knowledge and skill for guitar repair, these guys are good. There are other Guitar Centers and music stores closer, but this one is worth the drive for me. Over the years I’ve purchased numerous guitars, amps, a cab, and had multiple guitars worked on, I have been happy with every experience.

All musicians have a love hate relationship with guitar center. Sadly, they are the best music store in the area. I get most of my gear on sweetwater these days. But it is generally better, with better deals, than the Sam ash that is just steps away

I’ve only had one experience but it was outstanding. I was skeptical about some equipment as some reviews were confusing in regards to the merchandise (DJ equipment). They had a good selection of items and the gentleman by the name of Chris was truly amazing. So knowledgeable, professional and experienced in related field. Great atmosphere, great store, great associates! I will be going back for sure.

My partner and I drove to here from central Canada specifically just to see this factory, we ended up making an entire Pennsylvania road trip out of it. I recommend anyone who is ever in the area to stop in and see.The tour was great to see how the production line worked, learn more about the history and enjoy the picking parlor.As someone who is not very musical, I still found this place fascinating! The visitors center was beautiful, the tour was exceptional and it was amazing to learn about how the company operates, as well there is a great museum that you can tour while there to learn about the entire company history.There really is something for everyone here!

A very good selection of guitars and other instruments. Reasonable prices and helpful staff. They also offer lessons and other helpful tips and have a wide selection of accessories for your guitars and amps. If you are looking to buy a guitar they will help you set it up so you can hear what it sounds like given your choice of amps. Could probably spend an entire day there if you are a musician.

Went in to check out the keyboards. Good range and plenty of opportunities to try them out. Some of the pre-owned gear a little pricey. Picked up a Yamaha DX7 that was traded in the day before, was very happy. Had my 12 string Gibson set up here previously, did a great job on it. Worth 4.5 stars.

This Guitar has a fine selection of musical instruments. The employees have a good knowledge of there instrument. The prices are very reasonable.

Guitar centers are always good to try out the instruments you want to buy. This one is a pretty good store with nice variety of guitars and amps. Also, a staff named ALEX helped me a lot with my purchase. He was kind and patient with me while answering all my questions and helping me to get a perfect guitar. Would definitely recommend talking to him about the instruments if you ever go there.
