Even with an appointment. I was there over 2 hours waiting with out any workers saying a word to me. Finally when it was time to pick my glasses I was told to choose them by a male employee but was not given a tray so I juggled pairs of glasses in my hand trying to find my right pair. Jocelyn was the person to check me out in the end. She was very patient & kind. She also tried her best to explain my itemized receipt to me when I asked. Lowering my two star rating to one star as I can not get in contact with anyone about my order & their call system is automated & does not work at all.

I had gone to them previously - so I didnt look at their reviews before I booked an appt. - big mistake!!!!!I had made an appointment and furnished to them my insurance in advance but when we arrived they to someone before us saying the reason for this was that they had to confirm my insurance coverage and limit. I was proactive and they were going to make me wait an hour to be seen bc they werent. They need the mature professional employees that they once had. Hence I walked out and took my familys business to where we r appreciated!

Had my appointment everything was good until I ordered my contacts trial pairs never called they were in because never ordered… glasses ordered never called to pick up brought my kids in same experience understand we were in a pandemic but now few weeks ago had to go back as my eyes had got worse ordered trial pair I went there 2 weeks later cause they never called I made a seen I was upset n hurt always happens to me and my family now going to different location and pray don’t have same issue when I called they answered and were so understanding about my situation n said they’d take care of me so fingers crossed they do!!!

I made an appointment for my daughter for 5:00 p.m., at 5:59 p.m. she was called back to see the doctor for her exam. I understand sometimes things happen unexpectedly and it can cause a bit of a delay but an hour seems a bit much especially when we had an appointment. They are very busy but maybe they should think about setting their appointments a bit farther apart.

They have exceptional customer service and quality glasses and contacts.

I made an appointment online, received a conformation and filled out the admission forms. I arrived and signed in 10 minutes early. 40 minutes later the receptionist looked and asked Whats my name? ..Despite that I signed in on a sheet that Nobody bothered to look at it.5 minutes later a person from the back calls my name to go to the back, to see that it is totally empty and she stated that she didnt know that I was in the store, then she stated to ask me the same questions from the same admission forms that Ive filled online.I asked what happened to the forms that I filled out. I was told that she has no access to them.... At the moment I realized that I store staff is totally incompetent and I walked out.

My husband went here for his vision appointment and ordered his glasses. They told him, “His glasses will be in within two weeks” and he has not been contacted. When you call the store no one answers the phone. Very disappointed in the customer service that is being delivered. I understand we are in a pandemic, but you should deliver the best customer service experience possible.

The worst place ever.. at Chicago Ridge mall, that sold us my son glasses, at the beginning it was good. Then come to find out the girl lied to us about the insurance I purchased for them and I made a claim and they never ever answer the phone. I will not going to do business with these people ever again. Take your money somewhere where they actually care and that are professional and good customer service.

I am not even sure what happened or has happened to this location. I have been going here for years yet somehow this location has completely gone down hill. Angel was the best rep they had and without him theres no need to continue doing business here. I wasnt informed my glasses were ready, tried to call and it kept going to the mainline customer line. Then one of the pair I finally picked up had a scratch, took it in to get fixed, was told two weeks and Id get a call, its been three and no phone call. What makes it worse is that I called and was told it was a total repair which is was not and to hold, then the phone hung up. Called back three times and it goes back to customer service. I buy several pairs of glasses at one time from Visionworks but I will definitely have to take my business elsewhere after this.

I dont even know where to begin but this store at this location in Chicago Ridge Mall is excellent from start to finish. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It all reflects great leadership which is why the general manager Dorothea gets an A++++++. She is just awesome and professional. Mind you this is all before you even see the eye doctor. Dr. Allen is the best of the best. She knows her patients and genuinely cares about their vision. She also gets an A++++++At this location they genuinely care about the patient/customer experience!

I had an appointment for 3:40 pm i arrived 20 minutes early and i barely got called back terrible service i believe. If you set an appointment up you need space out the next appointment so that customers arent waiting for an hour

First time here today and I must say that everyone was very nice. Lets start with the waiting time.. which was within 15 minutes my daughter was seen and actually in a room being assessed! Alex was very helpful and efficient. He took time to explain insurance benefits to me in a way that I could understand and choose the best plan for my daughters needs. I highly recommend this place and I look forward to bringing the rest of the family here. Thank you Visionworks!!

I never had a bad experienced at Vision Works in Chicago Ridge. I must say that Angel V was spectacular. He was a pleasure, and understood my concerns. Best customer service experience that I have witness in a while.

All of the employees here were very kind and helpful. They are welcoming and attentive. Customer service goes a long way.Isaiah put my order in for my lenses and took the time out to do different calculations to help me figure out a price point that was in my budget. I didn’t want to spend much since I only needed the glasses for reading but he was still kind and patient.I would definitely recommend this place. I purchased L.A.M.B. frames and they were the type of frames I was looking for.

If I could give this store a 0 star rating I would. The employees dont pick up the phone. Your call gets transferred to a corporate phone line, then after an hour hold they transfer you to the store to help you. The employees in the store argue with you and have no knowledge of insurance benefits or have no common courtesy to tell you the best deal to get glasses and contacts. Then you wait weeks for trials and then weeks more to get your contacts order. I order contacts from Costco at a 25% cheaper price a week later than at this store and got the contacts a week earlier from Costco. Poor service here. I will only use this store for an eye exam because my vision insurance makes me go here.

Ive been calling for a week straight. There is no reason I should be on hold for 20+ mins everytime with no answer. Disconnect the phone if no one is going to answer.

I’ve never done a google review before, but i Chose to come here after reading good reviews about customer their customer service, and I want to tell you that it did not disappoint. I asked a staff member for help and she literally listened to my concerns about my current glasses and took me through the whole process of choosing a new one that met my concerns step by step, then gave me feed back for every little inquiry I had. Turns out the staff member was the store manager herself, Dorothea.

THEY DON’T ANSWER THE PHONES. EVER!!! I HAVE BEEN CALLING NON-STOP FOR TWO WEEKS. THEY ARENT ANSWERING. I WALK IN, AND YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE PLENTY OF EMPLOYEES WORKING HERE. IS IT SO HARD TO PICK UP THE PHONE? I STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY 2ND PAIR OF GLASSES, I CAN’T KEEP DRIVING HERE TO SEE IF THEY CAME IN, SINCE THEY DONT PICK UP THE PHONE FOR ME TO ASK IF THEY CAME IN. The Eye Team at Chicago Ridge Mall Visionworks gave my gard daughter and I the best experience every. We were in major need for contact and glasses. The Store Manager Dorothea is Amazing!!!

Dr. Karynn Allen was fantastic but unfortunately the staff there wasn’t too helpful. It took me a half hour to pick out glasses yet over a half hour goes by and still not being helped out. Definitely did not feel appreciated for being there. I was going to get two pairs of glasses they did not have one of the pair I was getting in stock. I was willing to buy two pairs of glasses today but unfortunately I have to take my business elsewhere since no one was willing to assist. Mind you there was only two other people there a staff of three. Didn’t have this problem before. They should train their sales staff to take care of the customers in the store waiting after the exam. I only gave a two star because the doctor was great!

My first visit to this optical shop and I appreciate how warm and accommodating the staff members are! My eye doctor she was awesome and worked really well so I can get the best contact lenses for my bad eyes.. I’ll make sure to keep this place in my tab! Keep it up guys!

My time at vision works today was very quick with great hospitality from Alex Ward and his staff. He was patient with me and managed to help me pick out the right type of eye wear. I will recommend this location to some of my other friends needing a new pair of eye wear.

Let me start by saying that this location in Chicago Ridge really went above and beyond to make me happy. The reason is because one of the workers there named Dorthia had taken initiative in helping me. I came from the Fox Valley Visionworks to replace my broken frame as they had some frames on hold. There was a mixup and the frames that I had on hold were not the right ones. Dorthia immediately called the nearby Visionworks and asked a lady named Gillian to see if they could find the correct pair. Gillian drove the frames over to the store! She quickly had them switch out the lenses and had me out the door. Super impressed with these two employees. Visionworks is certainly fortunate to have good workers like these.

Everytime i come here i wait long periods of time. The doctor was great when it came time to order many associates looked at my folder and put it down. I needed to order a prescription after seeing the doctor. They were fighting about who was going to put my order in and just avoiding my folder. This place is so bad with customer service. If there is a number i can complain to i will. Nobody wants to work. Just stand there and chit chat amongst each other about schedules.

I think this is one of the best ran establishments in Chicago. The atmosphere is great,The young lady that help me, I think her name was Dorothea she was great. She was very knowledgeable, nice,and she helped me every step of the way, I would recommend this Visionworks to everyone.

I love this location I use to go to the one near I 55 on the Pulaski exit but that location is HORRIBLE . I have been coming here for years and to be honest the group they have working now is by far one of the best. The eye doctor looks just like Lucca Quinn from The Good Fight, and loved the way she performs the eye exams. Then all the personnel that works outside are very helpful and this is why I will continue to come back !!

I have been coming to this location for 5 years and I have ALWAYS received EXCELLENT service again and again from Yasmin. Before switching to this location, I went from eye doctor to eye doctor, store to store, business to business, and location to location leaving unsatisfied and broke on top of it because I wear bifocals. At the Chicago Ridge location, I consistently leave happy with my needs met on every occasion! I have purchased a combined total of 5 pairs of glasses for myself, my son, and even one of my students whose family could not afford to replace her glasses when she broke them. Most recently, I purchased contact lens and once again, my experience with the doctors, especially Dr. Szumanski, was as great as my experience with Yasmin always is each and every time. Even the store manager, Dorothea, is always friendly and professional whenever I come in for my yearly visits or to purchase eye wear and other items. AMAZING EXPERIENCE FROM AN AMAZING PLACE!!

I just came from. Visionworks. I was having problems with glasses..i talked to Angel v. What a wonderful employee. He was thougtful..understood my issues..respectful...man. When we go back to visionworks, We are asking for him..he was also knowlegeable and helped us...WTG.. Yes the glasses are pricey. But Angel V. Changed my mine from upset to happy.....thank you. We have been going for a long time all employees are nice and friendly too..but Angel V was exceptional.

Kind employees but worst management ever. Unprofessional. Waste of time. Slow with everything. I came here because eye and contacts exam is cheaper than lens crafters. Go to lens crafters. Twice I came to pickup my contacts ( they called me twice to pickup). Both times my contacts order wasn’t completed?????? Waste of my time.

My fiancé, Nia, referred me for an eye exam because the free one I got at my job came back saying I needed to retake the exam. Despite being inconvenienced by my job, Yasmin took great care of me! It was a great experience and I actually passed the exam at Visionworks. The doctor was really nice & very thorough. 3 times Ive made appointments and 3 times the failed to verify my insurance even after i told them to make sure it was done before i got their. 3 times they said, dont worry about we will do it now, and guess what they didnt!! When i get to the store they say sorry we cant do it now and u cant be seen. I asked why it wasnt done when i called, and was told.....oooh I didnt work that day.

Went for an eye exam for my wife so they order contact lens And that was a month and a month and 1/2 ago and we still having Got the contact lens yet call them and spoke with Manager named Alex She said she will call me back and that never happened Would I complaints are about the follow up she made Up a story the the got my phone number on so I sent my wife over there to pick up the contact lens and when she got there there was another story she was told that the doctor that did her exam There was no records but yet they did build insurance company and the charges for the exam So how could this place act in such conduct They are so unprofessional and they have no clue what customer service is I will not recommend this place for anybody I am so disappointed my wife had to suffer all this time with Migraines and headaches because of her eyes and we are all this done thinkin that the order The contact lens we were told that its special lens We should be ashamed of this or this Terrible terrible place
