Fantastic food! First time having gazpacho and this restaurant made me a fan for life! The quiche was also incredibly fluffy and rich with cheese. The staff was also very accommodating and pleasant. Will definitely stop by again to try a few of those delectable pastries up front.

Super flavorful and fresh food in a cute cafe setting. Really super nice staff too! Gazpacho, avocado toast, and veggie bahn mi are my favorite items on the menu! Aside from their bread, Im not a huge fan of their baked goods, but honestly their food is so good that Id never have room for one anyways. Really healthy stuff that will leave you satisfied and stuffed but not feeling gross or heavy.

Our server was very sweet and accommodating. She said that it was important for everyone to get their best dining experience and we did. Other servers also helped us and everyone was polite and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The food is very fresh and delicious and the ambiance is very nice also. We ate outside and the hostess offered us a table in the shade. My experience was great!

I am from Omaha Nebraska visiting Claremont. All the searches suggested Le Pain Quotidien as a wonderful spot for lunch and dinner. I visited for lunch. The atmosphere was welcoming, comfy, and airy. There was outside seating that looked nice as well. All the staff I interacted with were kind and pleasant. I ordered a tartine - mozzarella and chicken. It was beautifully prepared and delicious. I drank the apple cider, which was decadent. I really enjoyed my lunch, and I even stayed a bit longer to enjoy the atmosphere. Very happy I opted to experience this place.

Im having lunch in Claremont before I go to the California Botanical Garden. Brenda, their barista, has made the best froth Ive ever experienced my life!!! Apparently skim milk works better than whole milk. Forget almond and oat milk, as much as I love oat milk. They dont froth very well. Also ordered the goat cheese, tomatoes, Kamala olive, arugula, and salmon (add it as an extra) on seedy bread. Delicious And filling. I suggest a lemon wedge spritzed over it. They have an outside terrace and seating is supposed to open up this weekend, with the new Covid orders. Also there is an area right out front with cement block seating/table with large umbrellas! Right next to the theater box office. I ordered online and picked up. Masks are required.Three months later we still love it! There Belgium mocha coffee drink is delicious and their chocolate mousse cakes are light and flavorful.

I really thought this place was amazing. It is my first time trying it, and I was looking for someplace to head healthier options since I dont want to load up in carbs. My salad was zucchini noodle Pad Thai. Originally it comes with the ruler but I dont like arugula so I had them change it for spinach. And I added chicken. The salad is huge, but because it is a healthy salad easily was able to eat the whole thing and not feel overstuffed or anything. I would definitely be coming back to this place I was not disappointed, and I am a salad lover so this is going to be my go-to place when Im craving a good salad.

I ordered a smoked salmon and roasted turkey tartin (which directly translates to toast) and was very disappointed to find that the bread was not toasted and very bland in flavor. Upon informing them that my order wasn’t toasted they replied by telling me that was the way their tartin (toast) is prepared, un-toasted. I don’t know about you, but I prefer my toast to be toasted. Just saying.

This was one of the best breakfast places I had in a very long time. Where should I start?I usually ask for mint tea. Sound simple and straight forward... Thats the only place, other than home where I actually got real fresh mint leaves in my hot water. The cappuccino was strong and dry. The breakfast sandwich was awesome: fresh, light and tasty. The avocado toast was fresh and very lightly spiced, just right. We took it in gluten free bread which was outstanding! And than came the sweet final taste: the apple turnover was THE BEST I ate in many many years, Im so glad we found this place. Its going to be my favorite place in the area. Thank you!

Service is excellent, the pastries are wonderful, they have traditional bread you can purchase that is wonderful with stew or soup. The patio is wonderful. I would like to see more stews and soups like one would get in Brussels. Heavy bread with butter and stew is something I miss very much. They close earlier than I would like. My wife says there is not much she likes on the menu so either I eat there alone or with friends that like the menu. If there was something she likes on the menu I would say 5 stars :)

What a cute, classy brunch place right in the heart of Claremont Village! I have come here on a few special occasions and have enjoyed the food and service here every time. It can definitely get a little crowded here on the weekends, but if you are willing to wait, it is certainly worth it.Once seated, it takes little time for the servers to take your orders. While waiting, you can enjoy the variety of sweet spreads they have at each table made in-house! These spreads taste great on their own, or on the fresh bread made by the restaurant.Over the many times I have been here, I have tried a large portion of their menu and have yet to find a dish that has not made for a delicious, satisfactory brunch. I especially enjoy the Avocado Toast. All in all, great food, great service, would recommend coming here.

Review №43

Absolutely delicious food and a good place to go for a healthy weekend brunch or small bite to eat during the week. Its usually crowded on the weekends, so expect to wait. Two downsides, however. If theyre packed to the brim, their wait staff will be stretched thin, so you might have to wait for coffee refills or whatever else you need. Second, their menu rotates, so if you love something, enjoy it while its on their menu. Otherwise, phenomenal restaurant.

If fancy and expensive, (one might say overpriced) food isnt your thing, then this place, which I may or may not know how to pronounce, is not for you. Ive seen avid fast food junkies laugh derisively after just a quick glance at the menu. However, once you walk through the doors, you get a sense of what it must be like in a hybrid between a cozy little neighborhood bakery in France & a bohemian restaurant in Brussels. Yes, the prices are high but the atmosphere is legit, the fare is light, yet filling, and the pastries and freshly-baked breads are gorgeous enough to make your mouth water just by looking at them nestled safely behind the glass. They have a lot of Mediterranean-inspired meals, as well as a lot of Vegan options, mixed in with some all-American comfort foods, all prepared with care and aesthetically pleasing to eye. Due to the nature of the restaurant and its roots, everything here, (especially the breads), has a very distinct European flare.Of course, Im a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, A.K.A. major foodie, so Ive gotten used to very excitingly explosive flavors, unique & interesting combinations, and a hell of a lot of sweets. So, if youre like me, the food of Le Pain Quotidien may not be enough to satisfy the adventurous food-loving beast in you. But if you want to do good by your body by giving it a great, light & healthy meal or a high quality cup of coffee and delicious pastry, then give this place a try.

Let me start off by saying that I have often come here with friends, family, and/or business clients and in the past, I have always enjoyed the food. I frequently order the Avocado and Lentil salad since its always been great. However, my experience today was far from that...1. Upon arrival, I am told to sit anywhere thats open, but its several minutes more after seating myself of looking around to get a menu. However, I notice the party that walked in just ahead of me had their menus to start with.2. I order water to drink, but again, it arrives around 5 mins later. I mean, its just water with lemon, is that hard to prepare?3. Service. The girl (Sasha) who helped me had appeared to have an attitude to start with. No welcome, how are you? Do you need a minute to look at the menu. Just, what are you having? Oh, thats it? Ill come back to Sasha in a minute4. The food. Its an avocado and lentil salad, and yes, it came with both avocados and lentils, but does less than a quarter of an unripened avocado actually count? I would say not. I had also asked for Salmon, since they offer it on the side, and for 4.99 more, I got less than 1 oz of smoked salmon. Deal right?5. As I was eating my salad, I noticed something that didnt belong and what felt in my mouth like sand, gravel, or stones. The chunk that I pulled out seemed like a chunk of sand. So when I informed Sasha about this, instead of Im sorry, let me make this right, etc, etc, I got sometimes lentils have stones in them. Seriously? Lentils can have stones in them? That is news to me, and regardless whether they can or not, Sashas response should not have been this, but something more empathetic. My guess is that either the vegetables in my salad werent washed thoroughly or that something was dropped on the ground. Either way, yuckDefinitely not coming back here again. Hopefully though LPQ can clean up their act for others. $20 for a salad with salmon and gravel is definitely not worth the price
