I arrived at the store 15 minutes before it was due to close and the light was on but the doors were locked. I was not able to get in. This is very bad business when you show on your website you close at 8:00pm but youre actually close 15 minutes prior to.

Today at around 1:20pm on July 18, 2020 I visited Top Beauty in Clayton. I asked for help finding something I was looking for and it felt like a was annoying the lady by asking. I later asked if she was the manager which she replied yes! This was not the first time I ask her for help and she was not professional that time either. She seemed like she did not want to help me at all. People need to remember Customers come first!!!

Everytime I go to this store there is one employee working. I always get to browse and look around without harassment. I like the many products they offer, a little pricey sometime. Great place.

Very clean and nice

If I could give no stars I would. I have had issues on and off with this store and owner. However this time takes the cake. I have been in the store three times in two days because the owner does not train staff but rotates young women who know nothing about the products he sells every few weeks. First visit the staff tried to help me for an hour but couldn’t find the right product to meet my needs. They asked me to call the owner the next day when he woukd be at the store. I called and he asked me to come back. On the second trip, the owner, found a similar product within 10 minutes (for more $) that I purchased but not before I asked for a discount for having to drive all the way back to the store on the eve of thanksgiving due to his staffs lack of knowledge and per his request. He laughed and gave me a few bucks off and I went my way. Later that afternoon, I got home and opened the package to find that he sold me the wrong item. I called him immediately and told me that he did not sell me the wrong item and put me on hold for 8 minutes. I again explained that he did not check the item before selling it and that I would like the one I actually paid for but with thanksgiving prep I would have to pickup later that night. Due to the owner’s mistake I had to rush my other tasks, leave my kids at home alone, and drive way back across town however when I arrived he again laughed in my face and when he saw that I was in pain and exhausted threw some free samples in my bag that I cannot even use and that were contrary to the product I spent three trips and way too much time and money purchasing. He did not even apologize for the error or acknowledge the inconvenience he caused to what should of been a joyous time of preparing fir the holiday with my family. I am never going back to this establishment and I am so disappointed with my experience with the knowledge of the staff (although nice) and the customer consideration and support of the owner.

Today was my first time visiting this store after living here for almost 3 years!They have a clean, well stocked store, very organized and great prices! I am definitely using this store as my go to for all of my beauty and special fx makeup needs. (wig caps, makeup wigs)Wonderful owner, friendly, helpful and professional!I cant say enough great things about this place.I am glad that it is close by!

Clean, Friendly atmosphere. They dont hound or follow you, but politely asks if you need assistance then lets you freely browse. The owners are friendly and helpful. Pleasant environment.

This place has some really nice stuff. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. I will go again. Its clean and have nice deals.

I went in wanting color 33, I found none. I spent 30 minutes looking. The only colors they had were 1,2 and 1B30, that’s it. Considering that they are the only beauty supply store here in Clayton, you would think they would have more selection. I don’t count Sally’s as one. One either has to go to Smithfield or Garner.

Absolutely LOVE this store. The music they play is always so encouraging and creates a peaceful shopping experience! The owner is always so helpful and polite.

Needs more variety of crotchet locs, different types and lengths. Also, a bigger variety of wigs, the beauty world in Smithfield next to city trends is full of variety, if this store was like that business would be even better. Other than that it is near by and the staff is very helpful.

The owner of this store became very rude while I was trying to find the correct hair. Instead of stopping what he was doing to assist me, I had to contact my hairdresser and send photos. He then got angry because I was sending too many pictures. He never offered to help with my questions. He did not offer any assistance! I am disappointed by the service offered by this store and definitely will not be returning!

The hair selection needs work. I was looking for a fairly common item and didnt want to drive that far. It was not in stock. I dont think I will be back.
