The Home Depot is a great place to get the things you need for home improvement and repairs. The only problem is the staff may or may not be able to assist you. Usually younger employees do their best to avoid customers. If you can get their attention they will find someone who can help, but its better to talk to older employees. They usually know how to find what youre looking for. Overall dont go to The Home Depot before you know what you need. The employees are typically not experts. I know the commercials say different, but the real life experience is not like whats advertised.
This Home Depot from what I saw was well stocked and organized. Not very busy for a Sunday. The restrooms were immaculate, minus the the one missing handle on the faucet, which could have even been for training purposes. The parking area could use some Covid-19 cleaning! Like the mess of carts, signs for rentals that were falling apart, and the almost non-existent paint markers for cars. Although the customer service was quick, quiet, and quite friendly if you ask me!
The place that has Everything. They never fail me...
Purchase couple of items and Always a pleasure go to Home Depot
Always a good experience here. Staff seems attentive and tries to help when they can. Self checkout is easy and fast. Get their app if you need help finding a specific item and bay number - might make your trip even faster.
Typically, what you want/need is there, you just have to find it. Good luck finding someone to help you though. Its easier to shop the store website and be directed to the location.
If I could give it a zero I would. Could not find anyone to get an item that was not on the floor. Spent half hour or more for them to bring it from the back and brought the wrong one. Frustrated I left and went to another HD and got the item I needed and was out in about 20 minutes and someone was there to help.
Went into Home Depot to get a Bagster dumpster bag. Asked an employee about it and attempted to describe it. A task I apparently did poorly because the employee gave me attitude in his response and yelled something along the lines of well, we have lots of bags ... while throwing his hands up in the air in a condescending manner. All this after ignoring me for about ten seconds after making initial eye contact and clearly seeing I had a question to ask him. Also Im in a hand cast right now so you would think he would be more willing to help? He mustve thought I had no idea what I was asking initially about because once I showed him what I wanted online, he gladly found it and bought it over to me.Overall, to be yelled at and condescended to is very disappointing. Home Depot is in the customer service sector and this encounter was quite disturbing.I will be taking my business elsewhere or a different Home Depot locations if I do return to Home Depot.
Poorly stocked of basic inventory with unhelpful workers. The goose chase to find an employee is then met with, I dont know, I dont work in that department. Those who are assigned departments respond, I have to ask someone else. I left and found the exact item 3 minutes down the road at a mom-and-pop hardware store. How this location is still open simply baffles me.
Ive had several great experiences with employees in store going above and beyond to help me out. Store is clean and in good condition too, as good as Ive seen a home depot.
We bought a refrigerator and the gentleman that waited on us was great. Hes waited on us before. Hes worked there quite awhile. Always a pleasure.
Short answer: Unless you know exactly what you want and know its in stock, go elsewhere - Dunn Hardware and South Euclid Hardware are good choices if you need advice. The help at Home Depot Severance is incompetent at best. Just today, I went to pick up something I ordered and paid for online and was notified by email and text that my order was there, and the clerk told me its not here. My order was there of course so after some back and forth with the clerk, she finally found my order but I just dont have the patience to suffer fools gladly.
Always have had issues with my orders being ready when I picked up. Never ready when I go in. Always have to wait for items to be picked at the time I go in. Ive ordered days in advance and still have issues.
Seems like no one there want to work. I asked 3 people to assist me with getting wood cut for steps and they kept telling me to stand in the aisle until someone came. I found a gentleman working in lumber assisting another person. I waited for him to finish with her then I asked him for help and he told me it was not his area and walked away. A kind CUSTOMER took my measurements and help me find the boards I needed and even loaded them on the cart for me. I appreciate the customers of HD but the help is not so helpful
Teresa at customer service was amazing! She went above and beyond to help my aunt and it was greatly appreciated. Teresa deserves a raise for sure!
They are always out of garden supplies. There were out of top soil this time. The store needs to keep a better supply of garden supplies. Last time I went to the Cleveland’s Heights location they were out of the mulch I was looking for.
Ask for tall Mike he knows his stuff
The layout is the reverse of the one at Southgate, so it took a minute to get my bearings. Otherwise I was able to find what I was looking for.
Waited for an hour to be assisted. Asked for help multiple times within that hour. Plenty of employees standing around each time I went to the front again to ask for help. The only people who tried to actually help me get what I needed were other customers who also complained that they were not being helped. Store closed before anyone came to assist me. Huge waste of time on a time sensitive project. Worth the drive to a different store.
Most of the employees aren’t as knowledgeable as other places but still very helpful. I would not call and ask any questions though, every time I call I get the wrong answers. Was told over the phone they cut glass, got there just to be told that they don’t. Called asking about very specific pepper plants, told they didn’t have any just to go there and find that they did. Check cedar center hardware first, they’re usually cheaper and more knowledgeable.
Exceptional service and clean restrooms make the experience worth the visit
Lightbulb guy was amazing and on point. Other staff were not so great.
The contractor Hope Depot uses A New IMG HVAC estimators are not to be trusted with the central air installation quotes and abilities to complete the work needed for your home central air completion. We were given the approval for installation and 30 days later, one business day before installation date was told our furnace was to big and needed a new one before installation could be completed. Unacceptable and very disappointing.
Never can find anyone to help, cutting saw is ALWAYS down when trying to get wood cut.
Store is sold out of important tools and doesnt have enough checkout capacity. The line was 20 people deep. NOT COMING BACK TO THIS STORE.
It was closing time last night at the Home Depot and I was stranded in the parking lot unable to load my merchandise. An employee on his way home couldve kept walking, he was off the clock, instead he grabbed 3 other off the clock employees to help me out and load up my car. It took us about 45 minutes. Thank you Howard, Ken and Liante (?) for giving up your personal time to help someone in need. These guys give me hope in humanity. We all need a little hope these days.
Good service. Manager was very helpful. Helped me order my product. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He knew what he was talking about. I was pleasantly surprised.
Its a home store. This one is somewhat cluttered in the aisles, but passable. If you know what employees to talk to your golden. But a lot of their employees are deer in headlights. The inventory is ok. If you know how to do self checkout, great. The cashiers are a little slow.
The only thing preventing me from give them a 5 star review on this trip is the fact that one of the items I went there for was out of reach. Not an associate in sight to help me. Luckily a gentleman who looked like he was headed to lunch was coming my way so I asked him to help. They really need a call button to customer assistance in each section so we dont have to walk all the way to the front of the store just to find someone
Always a good experience here for me. Friendly staff and great customer service. Was looking for a small shelf unit for my Mother in law. This looks like it will do nicely. Now dont yall go buying them all up, you here??!!
Ok. Not a good place if you are seeking assistance.
Not many employees know anything.
They have everything that I need and then some I recommend this place to everybody
I just really love Home Depot, I dont really like the staff and service but Home Depot is a money store and I sure love the smell of money,
Decent selection of products. Helpful employees.
Always pleasant experience here
First! Lets discuss how I couldnt find ANY help in this store. Everyone I asked told me thats not their dept instead of finding someone to help me. Next, once I found someone in the department I needed help in, SHE COULDNT HELP ME EITHER!! She told me I had to order online because I needed the product delivered (a refrigerator). So I order the refrigerator online paying for delivery as well. I understand because of covid they may not bring it into the house and I was fine with them placing it on the porch. On delivery day, I didnt get an order update until the product was long delivered. So they delivered my refrigerator AND PUT IT ON THE LAWN!! THE LAWN!! I was able to wiggle it from the grass to the bottom of my stairs. I was highly disappointed and filled with anger! How am I supposed to get a refrigerator onto my porch alone. I called customer service who contacted the severance location and was informed that they were never supposed to leave a large appliance in the lawn and it was indeed supposed to be placed on my porch at bare minimum. But due to high deliveries and minimum crew, they wouldnt be able to come back until later. Meanwhile, my refrigerator is still sitting outside waiting to be taken by anyone. DISGUSTED BY THIS UNPROFESSIONALISIM! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!My father ended up coming and helping me. When I placed the store back to cancel....THEY NEVER EVEN PUT ME IN THE SYSTEM TO COME BACK AND PUT MY REFRIGERATOR ON THE PORCH!!
Went in with the mother-in-law to select a floor for her house which I will install. Having zero experience with vinyl planks on a heated slab and the requirements for such an installation, I needed a little help. Carol I. Was great. Super attentive and helped us find the best solution for what could have turned out to be an expensive nightmare.
Hello ....my good people I pray all is well.. I just left home depot at the good old Severence Circle in Cleveland Heights..I was so please at the hospitality ..It was a wonderful young lady that took care of me whn I was ready to check out.I was in lines with two large plants. She even offer some tip s on the plants I purchace...In this so uncaring world its nice to know all people with a Beautiful spirit havent all left this world .
Its not so much this store but the fact that their online inventory system told me there were four transfer pumps there. My local store said to call and check availability. I did. There were none. So I drove 25 miles to find an empty spot on the shelf where there should have been four pumps. Went with the closest thing as I still had a job to do, but now with less time. At least the nice lady directing people to checkouts was very friendly and nice.
Great place for all your repair needs..this place is amazing and have great customer service.
Love....love.....love that curbside pickup!!!
Dana at the rental department gave horrible customer service.
The workers are helpful
No one available to help Mi find what I was looking for
This Home Depot has been reliable and helpful every time Ive gone. Sometimes the lines can be a bit of a wait at rush hour times, but any other time Im in/out pretty quick. Staff has been helpful and typically the store has what Im looking for. Plenty of parking is a nice bonus. Definitely my go to hardware store while in the area.
Ive already reviewed this place. If I were a pro, Id probably pay more and go elsewhere. Staff are really nice, though.
Just another bug box hardware store. Good for plants and Christmas trees too. Lumber? Got it. New kitchen. Got it. New patio? Got it. Remodeled bathroom? Got it. Ant other questions?
Go in all the time they have everything needed to get the job done
This is by far the worst shopping experience I have had, I believe in my life. I ordered a pallet of mulch from this location and paid the $80 delivery fee. The team that showed up did not have any equipment simply a rented box truck and dropped the pallet on the middle of my driveway such that I could not leave my house. The refused to remove it. I called Home Depot to get the material returned or moved and got a call back from the drivers threatening me. At that point I told home depot to send someone else to get the pallet and refund me in entirety. They picked up the stuff, but no refund was issued. I had to call several times to get the refund, but the refunded me for the mulch only and hilariously left the delivery charge on my card. It is now 2 months later and I am still having to call in to get my refund, PLUS there are now finance charges on the balance on my Home Depot credit card the store says they may not be able to help with..... I am done with Home Depot period, I have spent 5+ hours on this just to get a return for their terrible service. Never again.
Really good long line.
Horrible, dont bother. No one wants to help you their to busy talking to each other.
I have been getting projects done with the help of Home Depot for years...Everything you need and want for home improvement...
The customer service is terrible 🙄 but the manager Terrance and the other manager will fix the problem
Always Available: Everything Home Related
They have this wonderfly beautiful girl working the register who i will try and get everytime I go
Go 2 place, a everythin u n sto
Probably the worst managed Home Depot in the area. Employees are rude, when you try and talk to a manager there just as rude
Trying out some custom gift ideas for my friends who are having babies. Great place to find things for lighting and craft stuff .
Found the items I was looking for and was able to check out quickly.
I was served by four clerks. 1st one took my bulb i brout in and took off to find it for me #2 took my shade to replace it, and when he discovered that they were out in most stores, he looked uo the one store that carried it. Gave me contact info. Unfortunately the bulb i received and paid for, didnt fit. Another assistant answered questions about ahere things were. It was much later that i realuzed she was on break, or shopping. Fourth one was cashier. Super duper friendly and helpful. Overal very pleasant experience.
Rude people rude service dirty nothing in stock ....hate going there...
This is truly DIY. Almost everything you need is there, including fairly knowledgeable people.
Has everything you may need. However it’s extremely overwhelming. Don’t stay in the store too long!!!
The customer service has been superb lately and I’m impressed.
Home depot is the best home gooding store, prices, and the service is great
They need better inventory. So many cameras... For what? Didnt even get offered assistance.
Had to go here the day of my wedding to get wood. I was satisfied with the trip. They had everything I needed. My husband needed to get wood so he could build benches and a podium for our . He did such a beautiful job on the benches. Im glad they had the word we needed.
I was in the lumber department looking like a newborn when an employee named Ben came and helped. He went above and beyond to make sure everything I needed was exactly what I needed and nothing more. And he did it with a sense of compassion as if we’d been friends for years. That’ll definitely keep me coming back. Thanks Ben and Thanks Home Depot Severance Circle. My experience was legitimately what customer service is supposed to feel like. Get that man a raise ASAP. Lol
Love this place. Have enjoyed shopping here alot.
Not customer friendly in terms of store set up. Like looking for house, that is behind a house. Highly disorganized the way store is set up, minus the garden section. Be prepared to wonder around and ask for help finding items.
Extremely friendly Associates
Keep looking! Youll find someone who can help. I grew up with this Home Depot. Im happy its still here.
They werent able to cut my keys so I did it myself on the machine. It worked great.
Very poor customer service. I was told by a floor manager that I and another customer could check out in the rental tool desk. As I began to explain myself, one of the cashiers got up out of the chair and stated to me I wasnt talking to youThe two employees were sitting there doing nothing but talking. When we entered the area, they immediately let us know that they are not cashiers and they were not going to start to check out customers.Very Nasty demeanor! And I still spent $140.00. Smmfh!
Their plow guy leaves something to be desired and their sidewalks were not shoveled
Home Depot in Cleveland Heights had what I wanted. Helpful staff. A little bit of a circus & alot of women working there. Just unusual to me.
Its cool. Typical HD. Seems to be well stocked. Usually has what I need.
The hone depot is aGreat place to shopIt has a lot of do it yourself Ideas that are fun to do.
My family & I went on 6/1/2020 and had a good overall experience. The check out staff is very friendly. The only problem we had was when we were trying to locate one of our items. The man who was in the appliance department told us its not his job to care. I didnt really think too much of it though, everyone has bad days at times.
Dont like the fact that I can only use my military ID on certain holidays I was a soldier all year long not on certain holidays I think the policy should change
When I searched for items and couldnt find them, a worker would was helpful. The store was well stocked. Check out was O K.
I just went with my mom..... Thats it
Basics are good need more decorative items like they claim on design shows selections very limited
Great service.
Well managed and staffed. Employees always help me out in a pinch.
The hours arnt 6am its really 8am that they open
Staff was very helpful!
Always have items needed to purchase for home repairs!!!!
The worker are always so knowledgeable of the location of items in the store. It makes shopping there very stress free. Surprising enough the guy customers that shop there are always willing to answer questions I have about things. Love this store.
20 minute wait for curbside (when not too busy) prevented a higher rating. Otherwise, fine.
This is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. I placed an online order for pickup for 4 moving boxes that according to the website had 26 in stock. After waiting 6 hours with no response as to if it was ready, I just went to the store to grab the boxes. There were none on the shelf so I tried to get help to find the 26 that were supposedly in stock. Four different people directed me to other departments as that was not their department. One person laughed at me and said just because it says it’s in stock doesn’t mean anything. I tried calling the next day to check the order status and they directed me to the wrong departments over the phone and then hung up on me. I will never return to this store.
