The people there are the best!!! They truly care about their customers and will do everything in their power to help make your dream a reality. Special thanks to Nat and James for helping us get our dream home. We love it!!
The home I ordered is not the one I received! I ordered white appliances, got black, ordered white marble type counter tops in kitchen and bathroom, received a dark color, ordered a large tub for MBR, received a shower. Ordered ceiling fan and 2 storm doors, no fan, one storm door. also, other problems with workmanship. Waiting for response.
My wife and I decided to move to East Tennessee, we had to find a house or property to buy and build a house. We stopped in Clayton Homes of Cleveland and met Beverly. She was aware of property available and helped us with a purchase of a Clayton Home. We were in Illinois 10 hours away during the process. Beverly handled everything! She made a long distance move so much easier! So many Thank yous to Beverly, Nathan and Danny! We LOVE our Clayton home and will recommend checking them out for your next home purchase!
We were blessed to meet Beverly when we applied for our home through Clayton homes when I went into her office I had no idea where to even start all I knew is which property I wanted and she guided me the whole way and she became a good friend to me and my husband she got all we wanted plus some she is amazing.... Brandon and Nate were also a big part in answer my numerous calls almost every single day.... Not only did they help us but went above and beyond what my expectations were!! 😃 They will hold a special place in our hearts forever!!! If you need a home come to them they will become a special place in your hearts too THEY ARE BY FAR THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!! TELL THEM I SENT U
Beverly is amazing and Im so glad I had the pleasure of dealing with her. She made sure to take care of my parents and never minded receiving a call or email from me when I had various questions. She made the move from NJ to TN much easier and my mom loves the home. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and was always helpful. I will definitely refer people to Clayton Homes in Cleveland and refer them to her. 2 thumbs up 👍👍
I’ve dealt with Sweetwater, Tn last yr and the mgr up there decided After we picked out our home etc that they wasn’t doing VA loans anymore. So I talked to 1 in Ga and they didn’t even set us down to talk with us and was assuming instead of asking. So we started looking for houses on the market for months and couldn’t find what we wanted we went to Clayton of Cleveland,Tn and that wound up being our Worst experience yet! They made us find our property 1st, Wouldn’t even discuss which house we wanted until we picked land, then they figured in the cost of setting our home up(which was Way too high) because we already had septic, electric and water on it but they couldn’t explain Why they were charging us So much Then all that left of my loan was 60,000 to get my house with!!??? It’s like they were making me choose a cheaper house that I did not want!! After putting up with them being So slow at everything we decided we didn’t want to do business with ppl like that! Oh by the way it’s all the way the management makes them do it or let’s them do it! It has been a month since we backed out and we’ve Still Not gotten our Earnest money 1,000.00 back yet and can’t get answers from them either as to Why Even that takes SO Long SO NO I Would Not Suggest Anyone Go to Clayton Unless you can find 1 that Actually does business the right way and Cares about the ppl And the Hixson Tn office is the Only 1 I’ve found worth talking too But now there’s a New Mobile Home Sales place to Give them plenty of competition and They are great T Preferred Living Homes in Cleveland Tn!!!
They have some really nice mobile homes. Look more like houses. They have some you can buy with Or without the furniture. Look around and get ideas for each home. They are really nice and help you out as Much as you need.Hope you find something you can make it a home.
Every contractor they have used has been unprofessional. They drove across New septic system. Several of them got stuck in it. I have pictures to prove. All you get from clayton is it should be fine. Contractors should know better then to drive across septic and water systems. There contractors take way to long to finish the house. They show up work about 4 hrs then months before coming back. Leave stuff laying around in the yard. The stucco contractor left the job with it two different colors. If I had it to do over I would most definitely do a site built home. If they had a manager who supervised their contractors work and made sure they quality work then it would be a good company.
No pressure while looking at homes. Very polite.
I have had a great experience working with Clayton homes of Cleveland. I have worked with Beverley and Nate and they are both awesome. They always answer any questions I have, and they have worked hard to make sure my house is the way i want it. Make sure you work with Beverley, she is absolutely amazing and does everything she can to get you your home.
Clayton homes of Cleveland is very professional and knowledgeable. They will help you every step of the way, find what best fits your needs, and answer any question you have with a smile... no matter how many you have! If you get the opportunity to work with Nate, he is amazing!
Buying a homes is stressful as all get out but this location has kept us calm, cool, and collected during the process regardless of us being anxious and ready to move in. They always take our calls and provide updates to keep us in the loop and for that I am thankful. Nate and Beverly have been most helpful!
Bought my new 5 bed 3 bath house from Clayton homes of Cleveland. Beverly was my sales person and was excellent. Nathen is the manager and went above and beyond. Couldnt be happier..... Great place to do business!!!
Horrible experience here. Its been 6 months and I dont know if itll ever be final. The incompetence is amazing
The gentleman that helped us was very professional, caring, and helpful. They did everything they could to help us get in the home that we wanted but it is not possible at this time. When it is possible though we will go to Clayton Homes. Thank you Brandon Evans and the other members of Clayton Homes in Cleveland, TN..
Wasted a lot of time and energy attempting get a home land package. Was told by sales person they could use and as collateral that we would need only a small amount as down payment. Was told to go land shop. Did so. Went as far as putting earners money down and signing contracts for the sales person to tell us they cant do it will need a large down payment all of a sudden. Very frustrating for us. Do not recommend due to I feel like they are only interested in pushing you to make the sale. Also in laws bought a home from a near by calytons location and the home is falling apart after recently being setup with promises to repair the home and still yet to show up.
Customer service was great. Been here once, a Mr. Evans was very helpful in explaining the whole process in buying a manufactured home. Ill be back when Im ready to purchase one.
Worst place ever they will steal your money and will not refund what is due. They spend your money on permits without a land deal being completed and if the land does not appraise for the offer. When that deal does not work they will not refund money that they spent prior to approved contract.. very shady place very rude we asked for a refund and the manager John Lawson said I quote You will not get anything back you spent and we owe you nothing and told us i quote from the manager John Lawson our conversation is done and I will not continue- and hangs up on my wife so they spend our money without a completed deal then refuse a refund!! John & Tom (sales representative )shady and thieves
Nate and Brandon have gone above and beyond to make this a very pleasant experience.
The people are super nice and understand the homes are beautiful but the prices are crazy !!
ALL new TRAYLORS! Beautiful With a Price to match!! No repo. Or Used!!
Started the process of buying a home in March and found out Clayton was the reason for delay in closing on our land/home loan. Kept raising prices with every meeting by over $20,000 when said and done and said they “don’t know what was done and must have been a mistake” when referencing initial quote. Shady business and will not ever do business with them again and I recommend you not doing business with them either. They get zero stars in my book!
The options are nice and the homes look great and well manufactured. The staff could be a little more friendly and not so intrusive.
My fiance and I bought a house from this company just this year. Problems started from the very beginning when we set up an appointment after getting preapproved only to arrive and find out that we had been double booked. We told the associate that we wanted a land/home package outside of bradley county to which she promptly gave us the phone number of someone selling land inside bradley county. The process was started in February and we didnt sign the final paperwork until August 2nd. At that time, we were given a tentative completion date of 9-30 barring any acts of god or anything outside the control of the contractor. It rained the first two weeks so nothing could get done and when work began, it seemed to move quickly until it was time to move the house onto the property. Then, the day that it was supposed to be delivered, the delivery driver had the flu. They attempted to contact this same delivery driver for two weeks to reschedule the installation with no success as he wasnt answering his phone. After two weeks, i was told that some more trees had to taken down from the property and a special machine had to be used to get the house installed. This led to another two week delay because they said there were only two available in the area. Once installed, the house sat for a couple of weeks before any work was done to it. My fiance called daily (the house is in her name) and was told that as soon as the crew finished the current job they would be out there to finish up everything and was told by one representative that the finishing would only take two days max. Work did start but was often stopped and left for several days before anyone came back to finish it. My fiance called to complain and was told the same thing, that the house was at the top of the list and would be completed first thing. By this time, it was past the tentative finishing date. Corporate was called and said that they would look into the situation because we felt that the contractors were being mismanaged. I mean, who ever heard of contractors who didnt show up until noon and then left before completing a project. Two weeks later, corporate told us that there was nothing that they could do unless Claytons of Cleveland admitted fault and agreed to do something. Our representative assured us that they werent deliberately holding up the construction on our home even though we were complaining that the crews had been mismanaged not that it was a deliberate act and told us that the hold up for alot of things were FHA inspections such as a compaction test (which is supposed to be done before the house is placed). Finally, on Nov. 1 we were give the keys to our home. The stucco on both ends didnt meet the vinyl which was eventually fixed, there is a crack in the ceiling in the kitchen, there is a gap between the tub surround and the wall in the master bathroom that noone has showed back up to repair, and one of the bedrooms doors wouldnt latch which we eventually fixed on our own. In addition to this, there are building supplies which have been left in our home that we were told were supposed to be for another house and are still in our home two weeks later because they havent been picked up. All in all, we are glad to have our new home but we dont believe anyone should deal with this company ever. You will be in for a lot of stress and corporate is completely useless to help with the issues. Also, have called to see when the building materil is supposed to be retrieved after three weeks and we cannot get through to the office, it says that noone is availabe to take a call and that we should leave a message. And, for the Claytons employee who will be looking over this review, my fiances names is Cassie Lambert so you can verify that I am an actual customer. Someone showed up right after i posted this to get the building materials and fix a couple of things.
Various homes to choose from at a great price
Management needs to better helpful in answering questions in order to make a sale. Rude
If u want honesty & integrity, go elsewhere. Seriously. Crap place that sells crap homes with abysmal service. Avoid!
One star is about 3 higher than they deserve. I called to ask why the prepaid custom home purchased in May from my sisters mother in law is living in a home without electricity. I am employed in the customer service business, and would loose my job if I ever spoke to a consumer in this way. I was disconnected on twice when calling the Cleveland location and the representative would not even discuss why the owner has not had an occupancy sticker so that power can be connected to the home. The owner suffered from being without the home for one reason or the other, as Clayton homes is dragging their feet, continues to add charges to her paid in full home. The owner is an elderly lady, in May fell and fractured her hip and broke her arm. She is living without electricity, taking cold showers. I plan to encourage her to complain to the State of TN Attorney Generals office to allow the State to try to recoup the over charges. My suggestion to anyone considering using this company is to seriously rethink the decision and find a respectable competitor.
Not to happy with clayton homes of Cleveland, we have been in our new home for 3 months now and we cant flush the toilet, do laundry or take a shower due to sewage backing up all through the houseIts hard to get someone to answer our questions and apparently they have only one service guy.N NOT HAPPY wish I hadnt made this purchase
Great place to save money.
Bought double wide in 2003. Trim work pieced together in 2-3 foot sections. Walls crooked, warped and bowed. 2 inch crack where the walls were joined. Bracing missing under floor. Sheet rock does not go all the way to the ceiling. Doors are crooked and will not stay open. Did not put trim up around carpet . I ordered mine and they built it out of scrap pieces. I did not get to inspect until it was set up on my property. If you order one, inspect it before you allow them to deliver. I was a female, single and felt taken advantage of. Large cracks around window frames. Very dissatisfied. Would have returned if possible.
Brandon was wonderful!
