I Work for a Food vendor that travels to various events in the United States. We have a number of food trailers, all which have their own ice machines. However, when we have a big event we subsidize our ice supply with local vendors. While working in Miami Ok we contacted Reddy ice prior to the Monster Truck rally, we ordered ice to be delivered, We called to confirm the day before and was told everything was a go and delivery would be Fri. afternoon. Friday, much to our dismay 2 of our 4 trailers ice machines stopped working! So, we called Reddy ice to increase our order. The order that was confirmed the day before was not there. So, not only did they NOT deliver the ice from previous order, they did NOT even try to deliver the additional ice we were requesting!!!!! ALL of this came to pass approximatly when the doors opened for event!!!!!! So, valuble people were pulled from their working spots to scatter across Miami to purchase bags of ice at retail prices. The money Reddy Ice cost us was in the thousands. Lemonade, limeade, and orangeade is difficult to sell without ICE! The entire night was an uphill battle. Im still trying to sort out receipts from all the gas, bags of ice purchased from convenience stores and the numerous other locations we were begging ice from. So, REDDY ICE GETS A ZERO STAR RATING FROM OUR COMPANY. if your having a few friends over for a barbeque they MIGHT be your people, but if you are trying to provide homemade lemonade, etc for approx. 10,000 people REDDY ICE IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.
