I was referred to them for an items that they did not have. . .however, they went out of their way to help me find it on-line or at another local store. If a company will do that for something they do not carry, I can only imagine the wonderful service they give for items they have!
The manager is a great guy to shoot the breeze with, the staff is all helpful, in their own way and the pricing is exactly what was expected. Im heading back there later today to get some more stuff!
We got a great deal. The service representative was great.
Bought a strat from this store, and then for an extra 50 bucks their guitar tech ruined the setup on it. Thanks. Its unplayable beyond the 12th-15th frets.
Staff is great. Really helpful. Nice selection of electric guitars.
Great store. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff and great selection of guitars.
Great selection of guitars, wonderful store, however we were in there right before closing and a young man came in and didnt ask if he could help us he just told us they were closing soon instead of asking if we needed anything.
Its a smaller store, but still nice. I went in to look at a hollow body Id been eyeing online. Nice employees, they led me to the one I wanted then let me do my own thing without bugging me.
Michael was very proffesional! Very knowledgeable staff. A pleasure
Great place if youre any level of musician. Great products and service.
Best spot for equipment hands down !
Super friendly staff and got to jam out!
Very helpful fellow musicians. Bought two new Teles in the past few years. Prices fit for the semi pro.
I was having problems connecting my speakers to an audio interface that I have. I went in and Johnny really took the time to help me. He even waited while I FaceTimed a friend so we could get a visual on the equipment I had. He even sketched a picture for me to better understand how to connect everything!! Guitar center is awesome!! The staff here is amazing and friendly!!
Went in there not knowing whether I should get a PA system or an amp that u can plug both mic and guitar into and the guy gave me great advice!
Great store, friendly no pressure people.
Staff was very courteous and helpful. They were knowledgeable and answered my questions. Not much of a selection but could be due to being after the holidays and in the middle of a pandemic.
Guitar techs at this store can barely strung a strat much less rewire one
Met a rude employee there today. It’s not what you say but how you say it. Trust me, drive to Conroe and go to a friendly Guitar Center.
Its alright they have some stuff but some times they barely have picks or new guitars or anything but pretty good place staff was helpful
They have amazing workers!
They helped me get a mixer I needed for an emergency (I know it sounds strange) and I while wasnt able to find exactly what I wanted I left with something better. I did not feel like I was up-sold at all, they said they could get what I originally asked for in a few days but I took a gamble on the Yamaha Mixer and I love it. It fixed all the issues I had been having while working from home and recording from home as a full time musician. They were very knowledgable and even when I walked in saying what I needed and was told they were out, they immediately started to look for solutions to help me, letting me know I could return if i wasnt satisfied. Well I am, thank you!
Went in today after getting a defective piece of DJ equipment from a Guitar Center in Houston. Johnny was very friendly and helpful in getting me the equipment I needed in time for an upcoming event and made sure I was taken care of.
I don’t like being forced to wear a mask
Today I visited the Katy and College Station Texas locations. I was in Houston for work today and arrived at the Katy location at 1:30 PM. I was in front of the guitars for about 15 minutes. There were only 2 other customers and 5 employees present. Never 1 word from any employees to me. 2 employees were at the service counter across from the guitars casually talking to each other. I made eye contact with both but they never moved so I left.Unbelievably, on the way back to my office I stopped by the College Station location at 3:30 PM and the same scenario played out. The only differences were 3 available employees and on the way out the door I literally heard later dude.Heres a tip for both locations. When an older guy comes into the store wearing a shirt with his companys logo on it and stares at the top row of guitars he just might have a job and have money. In this case money to buy a $1100.00 guitar.I have already purchased an Alesis DM10 drum set, a Gretsch guitar and many accessories from the College Station location. I have also purchased several guitars from Dallas and Arlington locations including 2 custom shop Fender Stratocasters. I have spent many thousands of dollars at Guitar Center over the years. I suppose customer loyalty and customer service are just not what they used to be. Sad.
Staff is friendly enough, but for th most part you have to ask for help from associates.
Didn’t have violins which was the goal but it was all displayed very nicely.
Staff is helpful good working got everything you need a good place to go recomend you go there
All musically inclined guitar players listen and listen closely. We use our instruments Day in and day out. We play them till they break. Garry the guitar tech, will basically prepare your instrument for a world tour. I am so pleased with the set up I received on my Gibson Melody Maker. Don’t sweat it if you’re worried about the price. You change the oil on your car right? This is no different. I plan to bring all my guitars in for a set up ASAP.
This is a great business, full of really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. I just traded a vintage guitar and purchased a newer replacement. Both transactions were handled very professionally. I felt that every store employee that I encountered was interested in making sure that my customer experience was a good one. Lots of smiles from lots of helpful people. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a music related need.
About 3 1/2 stars. Nice store, friendly employees, but the drumsticks were disorganized and in disarray. I had to search for what I was looking for. The cymbals were all dirty, too. The drum heads were well organized, though.
They always have what I need.
My encounters at this store have always been met with disrespect and rude attitudes from the workers. When i dropped off my guitar for a simple clean, it took the staff 15 days for them to return my instrument. When I asked where my guitar was the manager, chad, assured me that my guitar was at the store after two weeks and the service was never performed. On my most recent visit, I had to make a claim for a faulty boss looper. After explaining what was wrong with the device One of the employees, Richie, tested out my equipment and rudely stated it was fine despite me showing two employees what was wrong with the device. I insisted that they take a proper look at the device and sure enough it was indeed broken. The only reason I would consider visiting this establishment again is because it is the only music shop in the area with a decent selection of gear. The disrespectful and anti-consumer attitudes displayed by the staff makes for an extremely unpleasant experience and i would not advise others to visit this location.- (Update)The staff reached out to me shortly after the previous encounter and remedied the situation assuring me that they care about the experiences their customers receive. Chad informed that the 15 day delay pertaining to the service of my guitar was caused by mitigating COVID-19 concerns. Although the communication was delayed, the response is completely justified due to the health and safety of the staff being a primary concern for the managers. The second confrontation was mainly caused by misread communication and Richie assured me that his intent was only to better service my device. The experience I received after voicing my concerns took a complete 180 turn and the staff was very receptive towards the issue regarding the loop pedal. Thank-you guitar center staff for reaching out and mitigating the misconceptions I had towards the location. I can happily say that I will continue to purchase my gear from this location and I would advise others to visit the location as well.
Excellent customer service. Very friendly, and willing to help out. Remembered me months later and all of that. Had the products I wanted when I wanted them. One of the better guitar store experiences Ive had.
Great help. Very knowledgeable. Lots of merchandise to choose from.
This is by far the worst guitar center I have ever been to. I would rate 0 stars if I could. The employees saw me waiting to be helped and let me stand their for over 20 minutes. To be a place with such expensive equipment & people spending hundreds and thousands the customer service does not reflect this.
You can find what youre looking for, very helpful staff
Awesome customer service. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys!!!
Typical GC. I just wish they had more selection of keyboards.
They are busy every time we go in. This tells me something good is happening inside. We went for assistance and got all the help we needed with ideas for when we left. Brook, (if I spelled it right), was very informative and helpful. Everyone is the same way Im thinking?
Big selection of guitars and other instruments, including amps and other audio equipment. Took my sons electric guitar in here to get it repaired and they did a good job. I thought it was a little too expensive for the work that was done and it took a little longer than expected but it was good work nonetheless. Sales people were friendly and attentive. Definitely give them my return business
I walked in with intent to find more information on their one on one lessons. I was greeted immediately and directed to Johnny. Johnny was informative, answered all my questions, made recommendations, and helped me take advantage of store sales to get the most for my money. I can’t wait for lessons to start in January for my son!
I could not imagine wanting to buy any instrument here. You only find generic stuff at the highest price point available. The one guitar I bought from GC had a warped neck and when I discovered it they refused to fix it or return it. The guitar couldnt even be played in the high register it was so bad. This place is only good for last minute equipment needs.
Found exactly what I needed and the associates helped with another guitar piece needed to play again.
Nice guys. Fixed my guitar and put new strings to make it sound amazing.
Came in to buy a pair of Alto TS315 powered speakers. They had them in stock and got me out the door super fast. Very helpful
Great store. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store itself is not very big but it has everything you need. They had a great selection of all of the popular brands.
Love the place and the staff! They are always ready to help you with quality and good service! Congratulations for everyone that works there!!
Great staff and selection. A happy place.
I was looking over bass amps that are in stock. I didnt find what I was looking for
I came in on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy. Still, I wandered around the guitar section for 20 minutes and an employee never came by. I really wanted some advice but finally gave up, bought some picks and left. I would have bought $100 worth of stuff but I needed advice and they were understaffed. It was an underwhelming experience.
My go-to for music always I get the best service and paitenceEdit a year Later and still my go to.The Gentleman Named Gram is Great Help and honest about the products hes selling.
Some of the most amazing guitars are sold here and you could probably walk around for hours looking at them.
My husband loves this place and I enjoy going with him. He jams in the bass and guitars and I play piano. Its always a fun date with him here.
If I could give them a 0 in customer service, I would. Worst I’ve ever experienced. Went in with my husband to buy a guitar and was greeted with an attitude of why are you here from the front desk. Very unwelcoming store! We walked around looking for about 15 minutes while the guys just watched and stared. Still no service offered. We left and will never return!
Horrible service. Jerk manager. Awful staff. Wish there was an option to select 0 stars
Their website inventory is always inaccurate and it wont let me order pickup online for what I need, so I went to the store instead. They wouldnt allow me to enter because I wasnt wearing a mask. Nothing on their website about it. How was I supposed to know? Thanks for wasting a trip for me.
Clean store and great customer service. I appreciate that they had no care in the world that my little sister practiced her Percussion skills on the displayed drum sets.
Great costumer service always happy to shop there. You can also play stairway
This is the smallest guitar center I have visited. They carry the most popular items. I ended up ordering online from their website as they did not had in stock what I was looking for, but they always had them in the Dallas area stores.
Amazing just amazing they are so knowledgeable and very straightforward they help me so much and mad the process sooo easy will definitely be going back
Love having this place close to home. Prices are good. I bought two Shure, Beta wired mics. The staff was great.
Friendly and helpful staff, good selection, but some demo units were not working
EL84s in stock❤️
Guitar center has all the musical instruments and equipment I need at a reasonably affordable price and very friendly service!
Daniel was super helpful and friendly. Was able to sell my old gear for the price I needed and get new gear, too! Thanks!
Quick, efficient, found exactly what I needed. Service was excellent.
Friendly employees and had the strings I needed
Awesome Employees And The Best Music Place Of All Time
My son takes drum lessons here. The instructor is awesome. I really think the staff is amazing also.
They mostly have what youre looking for but took about all of 20mins for someone to offer assistance. Two employees were at the counter talking to a lady about a party. If I didnt need something that day I would have shopped Amazon.
Found a great guitar at a great price. They were busy and we had to wait a few minutes for help but then the employee guy was super nice and helpful.
Kool
Great customer service. These folks will help you regardless if youre a professional musician or just starting out.
Always found what I needed.how much are the guitar place today I had to have a mic stand thats a very good place to go in fact is the only place that I know of a feather up in college station some but I dont know where they are anyway I like that place
Super nice staff. They were very helpful in getting us a new ukulele and signed up for guitar lessons.
Be careful. Really easy to get a credit card and go nuts. Great no interest deals from time to time.
Helpful staff, good stock most needed equipment. My dog ate my tuner the other day and it was nice to have a local store to run in and replace it.
I like this place a lot. Usually employees are very friendly. Nevertheless this time I was looking for a electric bass and sadly I realized that they have a very limited quantity.
The best and most informed mgmt of all the GCs Ive been in.
Great stuff. I can never get my husband out of there.
Great store ask for Justin he will help you the best
Ordered a guitar online and arived with neck damage. A 3 inch crack near the nut to be exact. The guitar was shipped from this store. How do they ship something like that out. Especially when its a 1000 dolllar guitar....Come on Guitar Center, get your stuff together. This may very well be the last thing i buy from you.
Amazing staff...easily found what we needed.
This location is fairly small, but the selection is passable. The employees are friendly and helpful.
This is a great place to shop and the staff are friendly and they know their business I also take guiter lesson there and Ive learned a lot i enjoy going there
The employee was very helpful in making recommendations on everything I needed to go along with a Bose tower I had already purchased.
Not very impressed by the service here. We were in the store for 30 mins and no one ever came to see if we had questions or wanted help with anything and it wasnt even busy we were the only customers in the store. The guys working there just jammed on the guitars the whole time we were there. The were ladders in front of the pianos and not all of them were plugged in. Dont mean to sound terribly upset about all this but it just seemed like a store about to shut down not a store at 4pm on a Friday.
In reality, this place gets 3.5 stars. GC lacks customer service... prices are better online for gear, but sometimes one can find a deal.
Its a very small Guitar Center, compared to all the other Guitar Centers Ive been to but the guys that work there really cool
Nice relaxing place to look at guitars and basses in person with other instruments as well
My husband and I like going into the guitar center... They friendly.
I had a poorly planned trip and they had what I needed: a six pack of pairs of drumsticks for a class I was headed to. Courteous helpful staff
Employees are knowledgeable and very helpful. It reflects good management!
Staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Very happy with customer service.
