I hate to give a below average rating to a local small business but the donuts here just don’t do it for me. They are very dense and doughy with barely any glaze or sweetness to them. If you don’t like donuts that are too sweet these are right for you. My favorite donut is custard filled and this shop’s version had 1.5 bites with custard in it and I pulled off most of the dough because there was no icing on it. I’ve tried this shop twice and was let down both times. I think the customer service is nice, I saw someone drop their box of donuts and was immediately given replacements. Overall I don’t think I will go back. The breakfast sandwich and burritos were ok but I was hoping for better donuts. If I could give 2.5 stars it would be more accurate. Please offer vegetarian options for breakfast sandwiches.

These donuts are the best. The staff is great. Fast service...update 9/14/21 - Galaxy squares changed ownership. I dont have information on the new owners or the new name.

This place is adorable and the workers are always so sweet and cheerful. They are very fast and good pricing too. I honestly come for a breakfast sandwich or esspecially their breakfast burrito with salsa. I absolutely love them and they don’t hold back on bacon that’s for sure! I don’t eat donuts but my family does and they always seem pretty happy with them. No complaints.Since Glazy Squares became Yummy’s Donut Palace they added Boba/bubble tea. SO many flavors!! I never tried most of them but these are AMAZING. Me and my roommate go daily for those teas now!!! Try one. You GOTTA. If you don’t like Taro with black boba try strawberry tea with kiwi boba. Life changing! The chocolate smoothie was yummy too, like a frozen nesquick.

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL!!!No jelly in jelly filled donuts.The glazed donuts tasted like was made day before and I told them to pick 3 of there best donuts and they were hard and tasted old. NEVER will I go back or let anyone I know go there. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

My wife ordered bread pudding for Christmas. Rebecca said to pick it up before noon on Thursday, Christmas Eve day. My wife arrived before 11am and was told the bread pudding was sold out. There went Christmas dessert. Wont do that again and neither should the public.Rebecca called my wife and this incident has been resolved.

This is always our go to for donuts on the weekend. Make sure to get there early. The best items sell out quickly

These doughnuts are AWESOME! So fresh and soft! Just the right amount of sweetness. We got an assorted dozen: plain glazed, strawberry iced, chocolate iced with sprinkles, whited iced with sprinkles, jelly, and custard filled--all were Amazing! Definitely going back

Called in an order of 3 doz donuts on Saturday for pickup and the made Chocolate Donuts fresh for my team that was working in the rain That morning. Great service and smiles. Great Donuts

I stopped in yesterday for some donuts and WOW.. These are Awesome!!! Missy is a Great gal and very Friendly!!! So glad I stopped in before the meeting. Everyone was thoroughly impressed and those donuts didnt stand a chance!! Great Job (Misty) Glazy Squares!!! I will be back soon!!!

Enjoyed the atmosphere and great jalapeno kolaches. Mix in a little square donut, biscuits and gravy and you will have a successful morning.

Love the new location. The donuts are always fresh and the staff welcoming. Kids love stopping in for a special pre-school breakfast.

Their donuts are very good, but their supply is very unreliable. We went this morning around 9 oclock and they only had one chocolate donut, some donut holes, and some glazed. Undeniable! Its not really worth the visit if they barely have any donuts available.

My wife and kids ask for their donuts all the time. They also have some awesome biscuits and gravy. Staff is always friendly and make you feel like family.

Theda and Francesca does a great job. ....and the B &G is awesome along with the bfast sandwiches. Goes great with a good cup of coffee there or a white/chocolate milk.

Love their donuts but wish they would bring back the maple bacon donut. They were so good!!

I saw their sign on the freeway and had to stop. The good, old-fashioned donut shops are hard to find, and this one was a treasure. Great donuts and super-nice staff made this stop worthwhile. I shall return!

Went there on a Mystery Bus Ride with my residents Square donuts are fresh and delicious ladies loved them and the ladies working was awesome they helped my ladies get off and on the bus and in and out the building very friendly place to go

Fresh made donuts and coffee, the square glazed are wonderful, old fashioned are the best I have had in a long time and yes, they make apple fritters!

Got there and they only had about 30 cake donuts left. Not even any glazy squares left. They had 4 more hours until they closed.

For their hours open (6am-3pm) the number of donuts made don’t meet the hours of operation. By 9am, they should just close. You’re primarily a donut shop that sells donuts for roughly a couple hours in the day.Taste and appearance is mediocre at best and a bit on the dry side; their attempt to add a lot of sugar is obviously used to cover that fact.By 9am it looks like someone’s child made and frosted the donuts. Really, a very poor presentation of products.As for service, unless you are there, exactly at 6am-ish, they really don’t care if you buy their poor product selection, and poor presentation. They know it’s hyped and rely on people’s gullibility. When you mentioned the lack of choice, they respond as if it’s the customer’s fault and not the “Glazy Square” service. You’re open from 9am to 3. This has been going on for awhile; If they truly cared, they would fix these obvious issues and not rely and be a part of the reviews deception. Which brings me to those reviews.As for the best in Collinsville, IL, A blatant misrepresentation. Don’t believe it. Those reviewers who give it anything above 3 stars are either paid to do it (Owners, workers), family and friends, people who have a sugar jones, and/or people who really don’t know what quality product, presentation and service really means.Recommendation and Overall Review: Go somewhere else. Don’t believe the hype. It’s a waste of your time & money and a blatant disregard for the true meaning of customer service. If they don’t or can’t fix the obvious problems, I for one, will be glad when they close. Lack of concern for poor service, presentation and quality will eventually result with their inability to meet those unwarranted 4 and 5 stars reviews. So many amazing choices here. The doughnut holes are to die for, the maple bacon was perfection, and the cereal ones are a huge hit with my kids.

Some of the great tasting doughnuts and OMG they have Kalackie a southern favorite from Texas. Very good service and yes they have a drive thru. Sometimes you have a wait at the window, well worth it, but you can walk inside and pick up you square eats.

Truly a small town business with the moistest and softest donuts ever!! The title Square Donuts drew me into checking them out. Yes, there really is square donuts and they have a wide range of flavors. I would love to see more filled types of some sort. They also have ice cream and coffees and cappuccino. You can also dine in... wonder if they have Wi-Fi? I would drive by there twice a day. This place needs to be booming in business. Be sure to get some donuts in the morning. :)

Ive only gotten the glazy squares, but they are always great. I take them in to my team at work in STL, they love them. If we ever have to get breakfast for the team, they always ask for the square doughnuts from Illinois. Ive never had bad service, the woman who fulfills my order is always friendly to me in the early morning hours. I am a very happy customer.
