Hands down the best place to shop for musical instruments. Their selection and quality of equipment is far better than any place around. Swing City puts Guitar center to shame. The employees are even helpful and even knocked off over $100 off my purchase. Ill be returning here from here on out.

George, the guitar tech was excellent and a huge help in fixing my guitar. I took it the the big box store out of town and they couldn’t figure out my problem! George was most helpful and I am a customer of their’s now for life! All the staff was helpful!

This place is like a fantasy shop for music lovers! They had all kinds of interesting and unique instruments. We didnt purchase this time, but we will be back!

I believe the store is having problems overcoming covid-19 due to quality issues with my instrument they have serviced.They are a good shop and have served me well for many years Im not saying dont give them business but Im saying be careful on what you have them do at the moment.This is a good music shop you can get a lot of things here! I would just stay away from any type of guitar modifications at the moment until they find a proper person to do the job.But please go buy a guitar here help a local business get back on that feet. Keep rock and metal alive.

Ive been shopping here for almost 20 years. Theyve done two sounds system installs for me, and theyve always got the pro-level sound gear I need. I love stopping by to look through the used and consignment gear, always good deals to be found whether its an effects pedal, monitors, or a quirky old record from the 60s. The Edwardsville shop is great for instruments, but if you want to spend an hour digging for a great deal on something you didnt know you needed, Collinsville is the place.Also, music lessons, instrument repair and rental.They take good care of nonprofits and churches.

Surprised I hadnt rated this place before; always a great atmosphere, the staff is genuinely nice to be around, not to mention a very interesting selection of things on sale. Ive been taking lessons here for almost a year now and I look forward to coming every week.

Customer service is second to none. They have all the big named brands as the bigger chain stores but with personalized service. They have gear for every skill level whether youre just starting out or youre a pro. The selection is just as good if not better than the chain stores and the staff will go above and beyond to make sure you get gear youre completely satisfied with. I would definitely recommend Swing City.

Im an online customer who was looking for a specific guitar to be shipped out for a Christmas gift. Chris, Im not sure if hes the owner or just a worker, called me and emailed me to inform me of some minor cosmetic damage, willing to take off 10% or even refund me entirely. I told him it was a gift, and he spent $70 on a $280 purchase for 3 day shipping through UPS just to get it to me the day before. If I lived nearby, you bet Id make this shop my regular store.

I have been buying and selling guitars for over 30 years. I recently moved back to the area. It would be hard, if not impossible to find a better customer oriented businesses. Art( the (owner)is a kind, helpful, and a true resource to the customer. Theres no cookie cutter big box store here.. The staff are amazingly helpful and kind. I wont go anywhere else. Drop in and see Logan. One of the best examples of a truly helpful, knowledgeable and nice customer oriented person that ive ever run into.

I got an Epiphone SG (G-400) Pro from Swing City Music and it arrived within a week, had no issues at all, and played great. Im a lefty so I always have issues getting guitars and I found one on their website almost as soon as I started looking. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

This music story has a little bit of everything in it. Band instruments, guitars, pianos, sheet music, recordings and instrument accessories. They also resale used instruments at a very decent price. If your a DJ, the have equipment for you. Need lessons, they can not only help you find a teacher, but they have lesson rooms. The staff is knowledgeable and personable. If they dont have it in store, they will try to help you find it.

The entrance was beautiful the photos of all the different artist and musicians was wonderful and gave me an idea of what I could be some day. I was greeted appropriately, and they answered all my questions, but that was just what they did. They didnt ask any further questions or give me a reason to be there and learn about the infinite possibilities of music from them and their instructors. It seemed like their knowledge of music and instruments had become just a job.

They hate drummers. Lost a sale because they were condescending to a young man I was with. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Great selection and friendly, knowledgeable employees. I got a good deal on a beautiful violin and couldnt be happier. Getting a free lesson with purchase was really nice too!

We take our grandson to the Edwardsville store for piano lessons with Ms Diane. He looks forward to his lesson every week. All the store staff have got to know him, addressing him by name each week. We drive from Florissant to East Alton to pick him up to take him to each lesson.

Staff is great and my kids love taking lessons there.

These guys form RELATIONSHIPS with their customers. They know my name, they remember what I like, they help educate me, AND their prices are GREAT. I prefer SWING CITY over any national chain music store because at the other guys, Im just a number and a sale.

This place is so bad Id rather go to guitar center and I hate guitar center. They are fine if youre just going for lesson but if youre doing any type of business seriously save yourself the trouble and go to any other local store or guitar center.

My experiences their have been very bad. Only 2 people in the store know anything. The owner who name is Art is a complete and total jerk!!! Dont expect him to respect you unless you are spending loads of Cash. His workers are nice. The store though just feels dusty everytime I walk in their. This has been my experience. Use to like them now Im just fed up with customer service. They do have rare gear tho. Which for me is why I liked visiting their.
