We purchased our porch windows from the previous owners and were very pleased. My dogs decided they did want to be outside anymore and chewed/busted through our door. I called the new owners. VERY friendly! Call back was very timely. Brought my window pane? from the door and they were able fix the same day!!! Luckily they were not covered up that day, otherwise it was going to be next day, which is still fantastic. Highly record this father/son duo!

Review for Butler construction: since April of this year we have been requesting bids from contractors to replace some deteriorating wood on our front and back decks. It is been quite dismaying to see the behavior of many contractors who say they will come and give you a bid on a home construction project. Many contractors didn’t show up when they said they were going to be available, and they did not get information back to us timely without prompting or multiple messages back-and-forth. Butler construction was the first company that we encountered who consistently kept all their obligations and consistently communicated with us. I was impressed with their professionalism and their documentation related to exactly what was going to happen, when it was going to happen, how long it would take, and the pricing on the job. We are very pleased with the end result of the completed work on our decks and the quality of the construction. Butler construction submitted a contract to us in writing, we both agreed to signing a contract for the work to be done, and the work was done timely and follow the parameters of the contract delineating the work and materials to be used. In addition I felt confident with their knowledge of building code and specific requirements for the work to be done correctly and in compliance with building industry code. I would use Butler construction again four another home remodeling project because of their high quality of work and level of professional conduct.

It took a bit longer than anticipated for the product to come in, due to covid shipment delays, but Michael proactively communicated with me every step of the way. As soon as the product came in, they were out the very next morning to install. They provided excellent customer service and extremely high quality work which we get compliments on all of the time. We couldnt be happier with the service and product. Would definitely use Butler Home Improvement again and will be recommending them to friends and family.

I have only good things to say about working with Mike in helping me with my Sunspace order last year. He made it easy for me all the way around and I live over 250 miles from his office.  I had lots of choices for windows to finish a 3-season room I was building, but Mike helped me understand the superiority of Sunspace windows.  He kept me informed through all the twists and turns that 2020 presented, with Covid-19 supply chain issues exacerbated with a labor strike in Canada.  The wait was certainly worth it.  My 11 windows + 3 custom gable windows I devised using the Sunspace vinyl all installed very easily and are performing fantastically.Last winter, just a couple months after installing, Mother Nature hit us with snow and record cold temperatures at least -11F.  My room stayed about 15 degrees warmer than on the other side of the vinyl.  I couldn’t believe it but my heating bill confirmed the goodness.  They have continued to perform well in our Spring and Summer weather.  Withstanding well over 60mph winds, blowing rain, hail and temperatures soaring to 100. If you live in the Midwest you know the drill.I drove to St Louis to pick up my order and Mike & Michael gave us a great overview of the window features and some tips for installation.  Really enjoyed meeting Mike & his son.We have received numerous positive comments about the window design and performance.  These are simply the best value out there.  And I can’t say enough good in working with Mike in procuring.  If you live anywhere that Mike serves, rest assured you will get first-class service.

Great customer service! I have a Sunspace sunroom that was installed years ago and Butler home improvement went out of their way to help me get new vinyl for one of my windows. I love our sunroom and their excellent customer service and professionalism helped me with a repair so I can continue to enjoy my sunroom. I can’t recommend this family owned business enough. From my initial phone call to the install, Micheal and his Dad handled everything with the service you would want and expect. They took the time to meet at our home to discuss the plan of action, prepared a bid and went over the details of the bid to insure that we understood the project. In researching St. Louis-area sunroom solutions, I came across Butler Home Improvement, the dealer for Sunspace Sunrooms. I contacted Michael, who owns the business with his dad, and after visiting the showroom in Collinsville, IL, my husband and I chose this company to install the vinyl windows, screens, walls and door for our sunroom.COVID delayed the arrival of the Sunspace materials until January, but Michael kept us updated. As soon as weather allowed after the materials were delivered, Mike and Michael spent two days meticulously installing our sunroom. They adjusted for the slope of the concrete pad to ensure everything was level. They caulked, sealed and tested to make sure the windows worked perfectly. We received instruction on how to use, remove and maintain the adjustable windows. Once they were finished, Mike and Michael cleaned up all the debris, and left some paint and matching caulk in case we needed to touch up in the future.This is a family-owned business, and it is clear these men take great pride in their workmanship and want their customers to be 100% happy. My husband is exceedingly picky ... and they even exceeded his expectations! We could not be happier with our investment and the work we received!

Butler Home Improvement installed a Sunspace addition to our covered patio. They were professional from start to finish. It was nice to see the products in their show room before actually purchasing them.Our products were delayed due to COVID issues with the manufacturer, but as soon as they came in, BHI got right to work and had the project completed in a day and a half. The Sunspace addition looks Iike it was built originally with the house rather than later.We looked into several contractors that do screened-in porches. This product is so much better quality and provides stability. We look forward to enjoying the space for years to come!

Butler Home Improvement is an awesome company to work with. Michael responded quickly, gave us our bid on replacing a portion of our deck and in a short while from when the work began his great crew had a beautiful new deck for us. We will certainly use them in the future for other projects.

Last update: I was called back with an estimate and I am a bit disappointed, it was over 50% higher than the 2 other bids I got. I am confused with that, not sure if they just didnt want to do it or the quality of their work is that much better but in either case my budget wont allow them as my option. I wouldnt discourage anybody from checking them out, it just didnt work out with me.Update: Brian called me back. He was very polite and professional, apologized for the confusion, and scheduled me an appointment for an estimate. The lack of communication was due to personnel issues which I can completely understand. Hope is high.I cant say if they are good or not. I had talked with them and someone was to come out and do an estimate. Never heard from them. I have since left a couple of messages (havent been able to get a live person to talk to since the initial call) and no one is returning my calls. I am impressed with the other reviews though.

I hired Mike and Michael to convert my garage into a four seasons room. They were amazing! They completed everything timely and on budget. Too, they stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process, answering any and all questions and offering help and taking suggestions. I couldnt be happier with them! Butler used expensive PVC flooring that was discontinued from the manufacturer and purchased at a big discount but was sold to us at full price. After one year the deck that was supposed to never fade had faded and has gotten worse. Company in the meantime sold and new owners said we were out of luck because manufacturer of decking was out of business. They offered to paint the PVC deck fascia for $1500.

I had Butler Home Improvement install a Sunspace 3-season room. I did research on Sunspace and Eze-Breeze, Sunspace appeared to be a far superior product (more expensive, but worth it!). Every step of the project was done with professionalism, quality and excellent customer service. I LOVE my new 3 season room, Im sitting in it today writing this review. Go ahead and call them, I wish I would have added this room years ago!

We had a 3 season room turned into a 4 season room. My room is on a deck so the guys were able to have their HVAC guys come out and run ducts under the floor. Then they insulated the floor from underneath, and added plywood to close up the space. Both Mike and Michael addressed all my concerns and did a great job in a timely manner. I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend them.

We were extremely happy with the install of our new deck. Of the four quotes we received from local contractors, Butler Home Improvement came in significantly lower than the others - however the materials, craftsmanship, service, and attention we received were all top notch! The job began in a perfectly reasonable timeframe once the work was agreed upon and once it began, the friendly workers gave it their all until the job was completed. Upon completion, they made sure we were 100% satisfied and checked on multiple occasions to make sure this was so. I highly recommend this business for your own needs.

I want to enthusiastically recommend the incredible guys at Butler. Dealing with them was like calling on a old friend to help with a project at your house . They are absolutely the very best. I wish I could give BHI ten stars because they are the very definition of outstanding customer service. When my wife and I decided to update our screened-in porch to a 4-season room, we did a lot of research on different types available and recommended contractors. What we found was that everyone else already knew what we would find out, that the company is excellent! When I called to get information and schedule a preliminary appointment, I got the first example of their first-rate customer service when Mike and Michael said would tomorrow be convenient? And it only got better. They listened. They asked questions about what we wanted. And they had had suggestions and options and pictures of different types of rooms that were available. When we decided on what we wanted, we had a price (not an estimate but a REAL price) within 24 hours. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprise additional costs when the project was completed. Within a month, we were enjoying our new 4-season room. Mike and Michael became our friends very quickly because they cared. They cared about workmanship, they cared about our property, they cared about keeping us informed about how they would proceed. They cared about our project.These two gentlemen are true craftsmen. We highly recommend this company, they did two projects for us a large deck around our new above ground pool, also a sunroom renovation. Both jobs were done on time and the craftsmanship was fantastic. They were friendly and very professional.We will use them again for sure.

We hired BHI to install two separate Sunspace enclosures at our house. We met them at the annual Home and Garden show in St. Louis and liked the Sunspace model on display. The two rooms are exactly what we expected to get. They were great during the design process addressing all of our concerns. Once we finally got our building permit, they began construction without any delays. We had to postpone work during bad winter weather, but they protected the completed work to avoid any weather damage. They kept us informed as to their schedule, material delivery dates, etc. They handled our mid-construction modifications with no complaints and came up with good ideas on solving the usual problems encountered when working with a 90 year old house.

Recently had need of services for a side porch and was very pleased withthe BHI responses!!! I found them to be very prompt, courteous, and helpfulwith suggestions and workmanship!! Would be glad to use their servicesagain in the future.!!!

Michael Castelli and his team are a pleasure to work with. I contracted BHI to build a new sunroof off the back of my house and couldnt be happier. From planning through execution, Michael was a great communicator and project manager. My roof was completed on time as promised and looks fantastic. The crew left the job site clean everyday and were very professional and respectful. I would be happy to work with Michael and his team again and recommend their service.

Tony Galloway is a rip off.. He hired my husband to do some concrete work and never paid him a dime. He negotiated one price for him to do the work for 2000 since Butler hires out contractors for work they arent qualified to do and when it was completed he said he would pay him 1000. We submitted invoice after invoice only to get the run around. To this day he has not been paid. Do not use Butler.They are the middle man and add extra money to the business homeowners on over the hired contractors price so they can make money. You want fair pricing call a company direct and deal with them. Butler screws over the middle man. Very disappointed in you Tony!

Family owned business; AAA service, they installed a beautiful 4-season sunroom on our existing deck, and BHI did a phenomenal job from measuring to prep to install. We couldnt be happier, and look forward to enjoying our sunroom for many years to come!
