Do not go to this place. They are a total rip off. They will over charge you for everything. They hardly have mechanics and they compensate by overcharging. Go there and get an estimate and call somewhere else and watch it’s way cheaper. He tried to charge me around $1,000 to install a lift kit. I got it done over half the price. They held my golf cart forever and when I came to pick it up they did all these extras that I didn’t request and charged me so much money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. TOTAL RIP-OFF. STEVE IS A CON ARTIST AND SCAM. HIS WIFE IS VERY NICE BUT IN ALL THEY ARE RIP-OFFS.

I never want to be the person to leave a bad review, but had the same experience as the review prior to mine, and hope this review will serve as a buyer be aware.Our golf cart wouldnt turn over we called golf cart specialist because they were the 1st that google popped up. They told us we needed a new solenoid. The cost was $500 which we later found out was astronomical.... and unethical to charge that amount being that the actual cost of a solenoid was $100. Somehow they justified $400 for labor and delivery of a 5 mile trip.Once they returned the golf cart it would turn over, but you could walk faster than the golf cart which was never an issue before. They came back to pick it up only to call to tell us the control panel was out and would need to be replaced to a cost of $3,000.At this point, and unfortunately it took long enough I realized we had been scammed. I called Fun Carts in Opelika where my parents had always serviced their golf carts, but never thought with the distance they would make the drive to Columbus to pick up the cart for service.The owner of fun carts Jim had me send him the invoice because he couldnt believe what we were charged. Jim drove from Opelika immediately picked up our cart, and found that the solenoid they put on the golf cart is what caused everything to not work properly.Jim called Golf Cart Specialist to try to get them to understand what happened and from an ethical stand point to allow us to return and be reimbursed for the solenoid they placed in our cart that caused all the problems.Instead of listening and hearing concerns Golf Cart Specialist owner and spouse would talk over all of us with how many years they have been in business and their level of expertise. It was impossible to get a word in and there was no attempt or effort of an apology.We learned our lesson and will always use Fun Carts in Opelika going forward.

I cannot say enough good things about this business. I spoke with Stephen earlier today and let him know I was coming. When I got there, he came out, asked what was going on and immediately started working on my golf cart. He told me what was wrong, took time to explain it and promptly fixed it along with some other things I said seemed to be a problem. I totally recommend this business to everyone ! These guys helped me troubleshoot my charging system and did not charge me for it. Offered great advise and Im going to upgrade with them for sure. Very knowledgeable and awesome folks. Thanks again

OVERCHARGES!!! Took my golf cart in for a small part replacement and the bill they gave me was outrageous. charged me for items I never ask nor did it even need. I even called several times with no update until the bill is ready. Charged over 600 and took weeks to long.

This person would seem to overcharge on diagnostics fee and include labor charges on parts for work that they were not directed to do.

They did a diagnosis on my golf cart and told me that I needed all new batteries (600.00 +)and they couldnt be charged again. I chose not to do that at the time and took it back home. I had my brother-in-law check it. He recharged all the batteries one at a time and he put a battery tester on each battery. They were all charging over the normal power for a battery, except one which I replaced for around 100.00. The golf cart now works just fine. Of course, Im a woman, so............go figure.

Brought my cart to them not knowing exactly what was wrong with it. They diagnosed one issue immediately. They were very busy and some what backed up with repairs but they repaired my cart and had it running again in 2 weeks. I appreciate that they didnt take advantage of me and only charged me for what it needed.
