A wonderful place every time we visit! A wide variety of bright and fun beads thoughtfully picked out by the legendary Bead Lady herself! This place is a wonderland for crafters. I got lost in there for a couple hours. There are so many unique beads, charms, and jewelry ideas that you can spend a fortune or just a little change, its up to you. Prices range between $0.10-12.00/bead depending on uniqueness. Most beads are under $1 and you can buy strings of beads for $4-20.

This is the one place in downtown Concord I can not resist! By far the best selection in beads and, even better than regular chain stores, the most unique finds. This is the best bead shop in the general Charlotte area! Ive gone to several stores all over Charlotte and outside of the city, and this one definitely has the best selection Ive seen. While visiting NC I took a trip to the Bead Lady in Concord.. Excellent selection of beads - natural stones, pearls, glass, crystals. Dont let the size of the store front confuse you. The ads are true she has 5 rooms full of beads. If I lived closer I would definitely schedule a Ladies Night Out with my friends with her. Give her a call about a fun night with the bridesmaids and mothers if you are getting married anytime soon. She is a fun person to work with. Her customer service was excellent! Wonder if she would consider moving to Alaska?

Someone told me about this amazing service when I was planning my wedding and I couldnt be more grateful. I had my bouquet from my wedding made into a beautiful rosary and individual bead drop necklaces for each of my bridesmaids and mother of the bride/groom as a thank you for eveything they did for my wedding. I got such wonderful feedback and see them wearing them all the time. I believe the objects carry energy and I know the beads carry the love from our wedding day :) Very accommodating and easy to work with and coordinate with!

I was surprised to see such positive reviews. Every time I have been in the store the staff have been dismissive and have seemed bothered by my being there. Maybe they are only interested in clients who have large orders like wedding parties. My husband took my daughter there to get her a little prize, and he also felt uncomfortable there. He did purchase an extremely overpriced necklace from them though. In addition, I was offended by one of the staff one day when I was walking past the store with my child and her 3-yr-old friend. The young child climbed up on the small window ledge outside the store (as young children sometimes do), and as I was having him climb back down the lady started knocking on the window and yelling through the glass to have him climb back down. It had honestly been about 2 seconds between his climbing up and my efforts to have him climb back down. Really, lady? Maybe next time dont jump the gun. Whatever. I wont go in. Its too bad because I love to shop locally, and I often do shop at the other stores along Union Street. I just skip right over The Bead Lady. By the way, Angelas Gifts and Garden is awesome, always warm and welcoming. Thats someone who understands customer service!

Absolutely loved the shop. The owner was in the shop and offered me a tour since it was my first visit. They have a large variety of beads, shells and small gifts! The consignment section is great, very neat and lots of choices. Make sure you have time to look around, the shop is very big. She offered my mother in law a chair while I perused the great selection of beads and findings. She also offered to ship me some items when they became available again which was a super nice touch. The bead lady is my new favorite store. It was my first time going in and everybody who worked there was so helpful. Especially the owner, she knew exactly what I was looking for and new a lot of crystals. There are so many beads from wood, metal, crystals, etc. so many unique, cool, beautiful beads. There are also premise jewlery which the owner made herself and her work is phenomenal. Everybody is so sweet there, the best part is that you can make your own jewlery there too. I am definitely and always coming back here! ^-^

During the past many years that I have known the ladies at this store, they have won many awards in customer service by local supported customers and by county business organizations. Their integrity is second to none and their attention to detail is superb. They have many a fan base and those of you that shop and know the Bead Lady will support our shop because they know the truth. We are a local family owned business with strong connections in the educational field and ties to local charities and givers thereof. This store has earned a valuable reputation of being one of the best in this county with past accolades to prove it. I myself will always give a business a second chance before I spout off any ignorance on my part. I find one of the latest reviews on here to be of a libel nature and of hateful perception. I will seek council on defamation of character if need be because the review is way off base and unfair. Character witnesses were present to attest to this said review. People need to realize that their perceptions and opinions should not be heard sometimes because they are senseless and wrong.

I am a Red Hatter, and we call our meetings hoots. When it was my turn to be the hootess, I decided I wanted to do something completely different. We live in a small town, and there are just so many restaurants and theaters you can visit when youve been a Red Hatter for almost a decade--meeting practically every month of the year![Well, I had heard about the Bead Lady from a friend who had her make memory beads from the flowers which were used for the friends dads funeral. She and her siblings had the Bead Lady, Kathleen, make several beads and fashion them into a necklace to give to her mom in memory of their dad. Each of the children kept a bead for themselves to use on a keychain. The creations were truly special memorial gifts.]Well, Concord, N.C. is close by so I decided to schedule a meal with the Union Street Bistro followed by a beading session with the Bead Lady who is just up the street from the Bistro. It was a wonderful evening! Each Red Hatter made a bracelet, and the Rowdy Rosebuds had such a great time. The Bead Lady was so accommodating and had another staff member to help her, too. The Red Hatters felt like they discovered a whole new world with the Bead Ladys store, the Bistro and the town of Concord!We, also, bought a Bead Lady gift card to give to a Red Hatter who couldnt attend. We thought she would like to bring her daughter, who is getting married in December, to make something special the bride could wear to the wedding!I, also, am a wedding planner and will suggest to brides that they may want to have a Bridal Luncheon in Concord and visit the Bead Lady to make something to wear in the weddings! What a great way to blend and bond a wedding party!!!

This place is a joke, I cant believe bead stores are an actual thing. The owner told me they charge $15 labor + the cost of whatever necklace you pick out. I picked out an $8 necklace and she said it would be $8+ $15 labor so youre going to charge $24 for a beaded necklace?? LOL.The owner was very rude talking loudly and laughing with other employees, she also apparently got VERY offended when I said that $15 labor fee was a lot of money to put some beads on a string especially when the labor cost more than the supplies. Its no wonder that place was empty, who in their right mind is going to pay $25-30 for this? They sell some nasty looking clothes and shoes too, all used. Sorry, wont be coming back if youre going to be rude and obnoxious to me. I was mid sentence telling the owner something and a customer walked in and she literally walked away from me to say hello to customer. Its very rare that an owner is this rude to a new customer. Your social skills and manners are pretty rough, how in the world has your business even stayed opened this long? Ive shopped the bead lady for MANY years, long before I ever had personal tie. I have called her at the last minute, needing an incredible pair of knock-em-dead earrings or a killer necklace for an event that I was attending... always, always, ALWAYS she comes through for me. there is never an exasperated sigh nor a frustrated comment - she always steps up to the plate and blows me out of the water. I almost always have an item on - sometimes its a simple pair of Zodiac earrings, more often its a fabulous bracelet or my junk necklace that Ive built over time, and I am ALWAYS stopped and complimented on what Im wearing. This is the place to go whether you want a ready-made piece or want to try your hand at designing your own goods.on another note, Ive been in there when people were letting their children run WILD and watched both ladies ask them to please be careful so they didnt get hurt, without ever losing their cool... when I as a customer was about to lose MINE!love this place.

Love her shop, thus was my second time visiting.. I gave 4 stars cause she doesnt accept Amex, she stated the fees are to High..I didnt want to argue, but that simply isnt true any more Amex used to have that reputation but they dont anymore, they have lowered their fees because of this reputation they had.she is NOT cheap either,. Stones and bead quality is exceptional and beautiful so if your doing a statement piece shes the place to go locally and not have to wait for shipping on the internet. She also does special orders and if u cant find it in the shop she will try to find it for you from other places. Its clean they are super nice!! Would have done 5 stars if not for the Amex issue.. if your going to be pricey then you should accept ALL cards now a days, in my personal opinion.

I was first introduced to The Bead Lady a year and a half ago with no knowledge of beading whatsoever all of the employees were so helpful in helping by guiding me on how to set up my planned creation. I was still to nervous to make it myself afraid I would ruin it and The Bead Lady herself made it for me and she did it with a smile and this uplifting personality and blissful personality so I didnt not feel like a burden at all by me being afraid to do it. Over time I have brought my 2 older boys ages 7 and 4 at the time of their first and the employees were so helpful in guiding not only me towards my ideal creation but helping them set their ideal creations up also and they were so patient with them and super kid friendly which says a lot for my hyperactive boys. It is such an uplifting and bubbly place with colors and sparkles all over! There is not a piece of jewelry that I have made at The Bead Lady that I have not loved and worn everyday, and even if they snagged on my clothing and broke...The Bead Lady welcomed me with open arms and helped me to restring them so I can wear them daily again. It is WELL worth the drive from Mooresville/ Lake Norman. This is truly a womans (and little boys) paradise...who wants designer when you can design your own designer glitzy glam yourself. Staff seems to not really care for business, I have been trying to get an answer about how much something would cost for 4-5 days. Disappointed cause I really did love the product.
