Happened upon this gem on a work trip and found it well worth a stop. Helpful staff and an excellent selection were enough to keep me there, but the prices were actually pretty good. I got some of the most unique and gorgeous coleus and a massive planter for (practically) Walmart prices. I think I paid just over 20$ for what you see in the picture

Going to Johnsons is always a fun trip. Has an avid plant lover, Im always looking for a great deal on lots of plants. Not only was I able to get strawberry runners for my strawberry field this year on a fabulous price, I was also able to get other plants around my home for great prices as well. When they get the four packs and the six packs that have vegetables or flowers for $2 or $3 a piece, I cant help but grab a few up, because if you went to any of the other big box stores you know youd be spending double or triple that!Also the plants are always very healthy! the customer service is amazing and they are always willing to help you or walk you through plant care if you have any questions!I dont have any pictures at Johnsons nursery but Ill post a picture of one of my raised beds I started this year with many plants coming from Johnsons!

Very clean nice nursery. They had a huge variety. Lots & lots of trees, bushes, ornamental cabbage, kale, pansies, & mums. The staff were very nice & helpful. Will b going back to this place again.

So much to choose from. Wonderful variety of herbs and vegetables. House plants large, small, hanging are priced reasonably and well taken care of. Outdoor shrubs and trees looked amazing. I will only purchase these items from Johnson Nursery and Garden from now on.

This nursery was the best one I have EVER been to in the state of Tennessee. As an avid house plant lover and collector, I made a stop here on my way to Nashville. It certainly did NOT disappoint. The selection and variety was HUGE! Every plant was immaculately healthy and lush, and best of all their prices were GREAT. They had huge healthy fiddle leaf figs in the $40 range, when they are typically over $100 elsewhere. The staff was extremely helpful as well. I can’t wait to visit again soon, and I would recommend everyone make a visit here. They had cute affordable pots as well to really complete the haul! :)

I went for roses and was thrilled with the selection! They have floribundas, grandifloras, hybrid teas, climbers & more, all looking very healthy. The staff was helpful - they carried roses and gave me planting tips that I didnt know, even though Ive been growing roses for 20 years. I highly recommend!

Variety and friendly helpful staff.

Well stocked complete garden center with top quality plants from annuals to trees and shrubs. They also have an excellent selection of decorative garden ornaments and indoor and outdoor containers and accessories. They even have a full time floral designer who creates ready to go arrangements or custom designs. Highly recommended.

We are a bit late in shopping for outdoor plants, but Johnson Nursery still has a nice selection. Considering it is the end of June, we still found some nice color to put in the front of the house. They have quite a bit of Basil for the garden if anyone is interested. Staff is always friendly and courteous.

After exhausting Google and the big box stores I still had no ideal how to fix my newly planted trees. So i came here and WOW within a few minutes i found out what was wrong with my trees and exactly how to fix them. It was very clear they knew what they were doing and were extremely helpful answering every question i had and giving advice for next year. Highly recommend this place.

We spent several hours here today. I thoroughly enjoyed myself shopping. We made the trip from Nashville specifically on the recommendation of Ron Daniels. I hadnt even known of the place before. The high quality of their roses and other plants kept me from complaining about prices. I was helped throughout the day by different employees, none of whom rushed me. Their garden center was neat, clean and very organized. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends. Thank you for your kindness.

I went here for the first time and loved it. There is so much to look at and it almost becomes easy to get lost. Their selection is outstanding, both inside and out. I was asked a few times while wandering around if I needed help with anything by the staff and they all seemed to be very knowledgeable and friendly. I purchased a few items and am excited to see how they do. I will definitely be going back here in the future.

Absolutely loved it. Could go crazy. All the plants healthy & beautiful. Bought a truck load. Cant wait to get them all set out. Could have spent thousands in there & worked myself in the ground sitting there out but what better way to die. Going back soon.

I read a lot of the reviews & I want to also say, if you have an old wreath that needs a new sparkle, if you need an arrangement to match a room or if you have a planter that may have special meaning to you & you want an arrangement done in it, they do that to. Take a piece of fabric or paint sample & let them do the work. It’s always been better that I expected. I’ve bought so much at Hobby Lobby & often disappoint when I got it home. They only added some new berries & bows to my wreath & it’s beautiful.

Bought so much from this place. They replaced a tree that must have been dead at purchase. Everything else we bought is doing great. Was a $50 tree. Thank you so much!! Will be back for sure.

We frequently stop in at Johnsons to get ideas for our garden and trees. They are always willing (and eager) to share their knowledge with us. Their plants are 10 times better than the other stores and the prices are just as good or better. Awesome people and prices!

I used to love shopping here and typically spent several hundred dollars a year. However, today none of the staff, including at cash register, were wearing a mask.

Johnsons is the premier nursery in Cookeville. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and just as helpful. They have a myriad selection of locally grown plants and an air conditioned indoor store as well. The prices are not *low*, but still fair. You will not be disappointed.

We came here looking for a solution to our landscape and lawn dilemma. The gentleman that helped us gave us good information and advice. We dont live in Cookeville, but will probably return for continued products and advice. Also, there is a good assortment if youre looking for pots or planters or live flowers or plants or artificial plants and flowers. We came in February, so Im sure the store changes with the seasons.

I walk around looking for the things I needed & employees walked past me multiple times & no one asked if I needed help. When I asked for help they pointed to a corner of the store & said if we have anything it would be back there. It was a giant waste of my time.

Nice people good prices and very knowledgeable I would definitely recommend them two friends and family and they seem to have quite a bit of inventory from pots to houseplant to the large trees and shrubbery.
