The equipment sent to us was on the old side but the store did an excellent job of getting them to us on short notice.
Called the Coos Bay United Rentals in Oregon. The after hours call center picked up. Rachel, who answered my call after hours was great. I let the call center know my needs and Jackson call backed in no time. We needed a generator at one of our sites in Pistol River, Oregon. Jackson wasted no time, he over came a few issues with generator transport and delivered. His nickname now is Action Jackson within my team. Action Jackson, like my team, had quite a few hours already logged and would not be denied in making this happen. As a result I will be looking at various ways I can use United Rentals more to accomplish the World Class service my customers have come to expect from me. Jackson certainly displayed a commitment to World Class service; the hour of the day did not matter.
Well when I call and reserve something and your employees tell me you open at 7 a.m. no problem and I show up at 6.55 and see 8 on the door . And I have to be somewhere at 9.a.m. it puts a massive delay. So I call corporate and they say only coosbay opens at 8 . So I tell them well send someone down as you told me they opened at 7. For which the reply was nope we cant do that. So I had to cancel my reservation and tell the customer I was going to be late in the future do not forward calls to a random call center mabye answer the phone in the location a customer calls so this never ever happens again very unprofessional

Mike Angers, my husband, posted a review some time ago regarding our very unfavorable experience we endured. I now have a new appreciation that reviews DO WORK!We received a call from Jackson Szela, the NEW manager from the Coos Bay location. He said our review was read by corporate and the management team was replaced due to this review and other growing concerns. But he humbly felt so bad for what we went through. We are both very impressed by this man!He credited us back money to try and re establish a new future business relationship with us. Thank you United Rentals corporate for hiring an individual that takes customer service to heart!
I think of you rent equipment for a week and you bring it back a day early you should get a refund for that day

We received only a one page quote. I was later told by a manager that there was supposed to be a two page quote which explained all rules etc. I then called to Complete and pay for the quote. The woman told me that she would set up for delivery and pick up. Which I found out later was a lie that she told me incorrect information. Yet again the manager only gave the excuse that she was a new employee. I was told when the machine was to be dropped off the receipt with contract would be handed to me. It was not. In addition the guy that dropped off the machine did only some instructions on how to run the machine. But said nothing about refilling the machine or even what fuel the machine took. The excuse the Coosbay manager gave me, was he said that that individual is not a trainer he’s only instructed to drop off equipment and leave. So I guess telling us what fuel to use or anything of that nature you’re supposed to figure out on your own especially if you’ve never rented equipment from this company before. Then I waited for The machine to be picked up and it was not. When I called I found out that the contract had not been stopped because I had to call In to stop it and get the equipment picked up. The original price I was told that would only be charged to my account And I was told I would not be charged for an additional day by the employee Quincy from the Coosbay store. And I was told I would not be charged for an additional day by the employee Quincy from the Coosbay store. when the final charge was done I was charged $500 over the quote amount. I talked to the manager of both North Bend and Coosbay stores, Tammy. And in addition Talked to the manager of the Coosbay store and was given nothing but excuses and that it was all my fault. I am a new homeowner and I have never rented equipment before. I was unaware that the cost of equipment did not include fuel. But again no contract ever emailed to us, which we requested twice, and no contract handed to us on the date of delivery. Tammy even stated she was going to credit our account which she did tell my husband over the phone. Now said conversation is being backtracked and no credit has been given to my account! I will never rent from this store ever again! And I would advise anyone else to make sure that you do not as well! They hide charges they claim that they give you information In advance and that information is on the equipment rental ...which it is not. There is no customer service and no forgiveness whatsoever! Oh and by the way, I guess if you work over eight hours in a day that’s not allowed by United rentals! they claimed that the unit was used for 10 hours so that is considered two days work! I guess the 400+ contacts on Facebook we have where we have shared our negative experience about United rentals does not matter to this company! All that matters to them as they took 500 extra dollars from a hard-working couple in their local community.
By the day, they may be more expensive than others, by design, BUT they most definetley, have some of the best pricing, in the area, on longer term rents, somebody commented a competitor would do it for 50% less, BUT, at the end of the day, whatever you receive in value, will also be 50% less,, irregular business hours, mostly worn out inventory, bad attitudes, and last but not least, a over zealous parking lot cop, you might be sorry if you fell in that trap, you get what you pay for, and yes i have been to both businesses
