Had a set of cylinders from an old cb750 bored out here, the owner did an excellent job. Matched the sizes of the pistons up and everything. I put the bike back together and got excellent compression across the board! I cant recommend this place enough, I would absolutely go back and id recommend this shop to anyone needing some work done!
Elmer really knows his stuff! Wont upset you what you dont need, honest and fair pricing all the way around
Elmer is the only man my father and I trust to work on our vintage motorcycles. The man knows what he is doing and will tell it to you straight. Love that with Elmer!!! Dont get that kind of treatment with small shady shops and most dealerships.
Best place, like ever !! Elmer dont BS with his work.. He knows what he is doing.. i drove for about 1 hour to get to him... (ALL WORTH IT)...Good thing we STILL have someone old school like him... LIKE I SAID HE DONT BS.
BEST cycle mechanic in Texas over 40 years tuning motorcycles,
Elmer is easily the most knowledgeable motorcycle repair man in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have seen him take a Chinese scooter and recall a matching Yamaha brake part from sheer memory. This guy is magic. Hes always been extremely upfront about if a certain repair is too expensive to be worth it. I can attest that hell never do you wrong.Ive been a customer of Elmer for years, his turnover rate has almost always been extremely fast and hell let you know right then and there if hes swamped with work. Ive had an extensive fork/stability repair turned back to me the following day with excellent results. His work is always clean and his customer rapport is excellent. Id gladly have a beer with Elmer, if that says anything about him.*An extra tip Ill give is that if you drive a 150 cc scooter you can get to this shop via the I-35 service road. You can spare the pickup truck a bit of expensive gas mileage for transporting the bike.
Elmer is the best by far! He is very professional, experienced and certifiably knowledgeable but what I cherish most about him is his old-fashion honorable work ethic. He doesnt try to rip you off or sell you stuff you dont need, but he also takes the time and effort to do things for your own safety & the bikes well-being. I feel like he cares and takes pride in his work. I feel like when I drop a bike off with him he will work on it as if it were a bike that belonged to his own kid (extra care & quality), which makes his work worth every penny. His prices are in line with other certified Ducati Mechanics (which is what he is), so they are not unreasonable. The bonus is that you are dealing with a very experienced mechanic without the corporate dealership hassles. The downside is because he is so good and just one man, there can be a waiting period before he can get you in. To me, its worth the wait. I really enjoyed my experience at Northside Cycle and will be a repeat customer. My bike is running great and he is my motorcycle mechanic from now on. I dont ever want to deal with anyone else!
I dropped my bike off at 8am. I was on the road by 11. Half of what the dealership quoted me. Elmer knows his stuff. I highly recommend!
Its great to find a guy who knows metrics like the back of his hand- stand up guy who wont try to bs you into bankruptcy.
Elmer did a lot of work on my 1994 Honda ST1100. Ive worked with many different motorcycle mechanics in the last eighteen years, and there are none better. I live in the Seattle area now, and not sure what Im going to do. Besides that hes just a really nice guy.
Elmer is fast and the prices are good, just finished fixing my second bike that i brought to him, I highly recommend.
Great mechanic! My SV1000S is ready for the road again.
This place is great. Elmer worked on my sv650, cleaned the carbs, adjusted the jets and bike is as good as new. Prices are reasonable as well.
Elmer did a great job making my 1989 Honda Hawk road ready. I will be back for all my services.
