I thought I was walking into a store closing and was genuinely happy with the selection and theyre even hiring so def not closing LoL. But theres a lot of good deals and the shoe selection did not let me down either..

When I went into this store to get measured for the right size bra, I had to hunt down a lady that works there, I asked her if she would help me and she did. Very nice lady!! She was so kind and thoughtful. She had ideas on bras that would be good for me. As we walked in this store, we seen the price of different items .Everything. cost ALOT.very.pretty items threw this store.

Ooo I love this place! They have the best deals on really cute clothes and jewelry. Even the name brand jewelry is usually on sale.

Went to pick up an online order and was promptly waited on. Subsequently, I decided to shop and found a couple things I couldnt live without. Now it was hard to find someone to ring up my purchases.

Tried to use curbside pick up. That was a fail. I was able to pick up inside. The store was full of merchandise and there were not too many shoppers. I did not feel uncomfortable shopping there. The staff was friendly and helpful

Ive been to the location a number of times and always great service. Remember JC Penny is a real department store and offers real customer service. Sadly they cant control the fact that companies like Levi have outsourced their cloths. Please dont close down. Ive been a customer since it was mom buying cloths.Pennys is the only place to buy quality with good customer service anywhere in Cortland or Madison counties.Homer Men and Boys is great for work cloths and boots but they sell work cloths only.Please people quit buying cloths online! Go touch the cloths and see what your getting while building a report with good sales people.

Love JCPenney! This Cortland location is great and staff are very helpful. One of the few places left to buy decent clothes. Hopefully they dont close anytime soon.

Everything I bought for my wedding I should have spent over2000.00 dollars and only spent 900.00. The staff were very helpful and the store is very clean

Not sure if Alice still works here or not but she was always helpful, and had a lovely dry sense of humor. The customer service reps here are usually pretty good. Store is always clean and pretty well stocked for the minimal they carry here. I wish they would expand a bit so that they could have more of a selection.

I really appreciate having this store in Cortland. The sales and coupons make this my to go place. The sales girls make sure to let me know if something I want will be coming up in a sale. They are willing to answer questions with a great attitude.

Im not a big shopper, but this last visit was a particularly good opportunity for good deals. I got 3 dress shirts for under 35 dollars. I also like the ability to use Google Pay at the checkout.

Im not sure whats going on here anymore. The overpriced clearance section is overwhelming to even look at. Apparel stores have declined over the years. I hardly ever go there, but when I do Im constantly remembering why. Personally, I would just skip over to Marshalls. The clothing is more stylish and reasonably priced.

Friendly helpful employees. The store is small, but I always find something. My teenage granddaughters love to shop here. The place is very clean, free parking and has a really nice Dollar Tree in the same plaza.

Small store but love to shop. Love the skirts and tops. They have a wide variety and can get items online if they do not have your size. Drawback of Cortland store is its so small and you can not touch and feel if you buy on line. I would love to see a bigger store in my area. I go to Florida once a year and they have a nice size store.

I went shopping at this fine location Friday night. I could not decide wether or not to buy the charcoal gray polo, or midnight night black polo. One of your fine associates, Jacob Marsh, helped me pick my brand new shirt! He was helpful, attentive, and just a great person to be around.

I actually prefer this store compared to the one in the Binghamton mall, it is easy to find things in and well organized. I realllly hope it stays around because the convenience is really nice!

Horrid prices, horrid merch... and the guy in the shoe department is just plain creepy (there is another guy in shoes, super nice but he cant fix the overpriced NIKE shoes that uses to be great, and now feel way lighter and rip after 2 weeks.

This is by far the smallest JCPenney store Ive been, but the customer service is superb! I wish every other store had awesome assistants like in this one.

If you are clearance shopping its good but if you want a plus size winter coat they only have one kind

Prices have gone up to where Im shopping online. Selection has become more for teenagers when it comes to everyday wear. Not happy.

Customer Service at its best!Long story short. I volunteered to shop for our VFW Auxiliary to purchase flannel shirts for our Veterans at the Syracuse VA Hospital.The St. Johns Bay super soft shirts were on sale for $17.99. Bought 20 at Cortland and purchased another 8 at the Auburn store, since the sale was ending. This was 9/6 and 9/7. I was so pleased with my purchases. I turned in my receipts and got reimbursed by the Aux. Treasurer. The following Friday the 13th! I stopped in at JCP in Cortland to check on sales in the ladies dept. As I was walking out the store, I glanced over and noticed the flannel shirts were now $16.99. $1 less. $28.00 less.! I was not happy! Our Treasurer went to the Cortland store and spoke to someone about the price reduction without much success. I called on the 17th shirtly after the stored opened and spoke with Andrea. She remembered me from the purchase of the 20 shirts for our Veterans. Andrea listened as I explained how the price went down even more and I wanted the savings. She asked for the receipt info and said she would check on it for me. She called back asking for more info. And even gave me her cellphone # so I could take a pic of a document she needed. She called back and told me that she re-rang all 28 shirts up for me 22 shirts rang up as $16.99 and 6 shirts actually rang up for $14.99! The savings was a difference of $54.72. Andrea worked on this for hours making this right! There isnt much Customer Service anymore with self checkouts and bagging, etc. What I thought was going to be a hassle, turned out to be a pleasant experience, thanks to Andrea! Im sure our Veterans will love their super soft flannel shirts as the weather gets colder.
