Junior was prompt and went right to work on the replacement of a garage door opener for my 16 ft wide garage door. He knew exactly what he was doing and never stopped moving. He cleaned up the area, lubricated the hinges, springs and rails, then instructed me on the various aspects of the system, including safety features. Junior is a great ambassador for ODC Cortland. It was a pleasure to have him as an experienced installation technician.

The guys that came out were professional, courteous and competent. They arrived right on time, answered all my questions and cleaned up before they left. I’m very happy with the service provided and the garage door installation!

Extremely happy with the service we received from OHD Company of Cortland. Very professional, helpful, and told us what we actually needed to get our garage doors repaired and what we didnt need. Turns out once the technician Chris W. came out, we even needed less than the original quote. He changed our springs and gave our garage door systems a tune up. Explained everything he did and how what he did took care of the issue with my garage door shutting with a large gap at the bottom. Will totally use them again in the future and will ask for the same technician if at all possible!

Adam and John installed a pair of new doors to replace our old doors. They were great, did a nice job, and everything went smoothly.

Scheduling a maintenance visit and solving a remote connection problem in difficult weather worked out very well. Chris W serviced our garage doors in Ithaca last Monday, September 13, 2021. He would deserve at least stars. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Simply, 7-Stars for Chris!

Chris W. came recently to troubleshoot an issue with our garage door not closing. He came promptly within the time frame the company had arranged for the service call and quickly found the problem. I appreciated the fact that he then took time to inspect all of the moving parts of the automatic door and found another potential issue - a frayed steel cable used to lift one side of the door. He took time to show me that part and explain that both cables (left and right) should be replaced. He also showed and explained the function of the bearings and recommended that they ahould be replaced in another 12 months. A final check on everything turned up a secondary issue with the electric eye on the left side (the safety feature that was responsible for the initial service call). Instead of trying to fix it again he replaced both eyes with 2 much better, newer parts. He also explaied what to do if an issue happens with the door not closing again...apparently spiders like to crawl into an opening and spin their web which blocks the signal. Yikes. Thank goodness its an easy fix. I was very pleased with the Service Call and with the way Chris took the time to answer my questions and explain everything. I would highly recommend the Overhead Door Company and Chris to anyone considering their products or service.

Had two new garage door openers installed this morning after a shot of lightning destroyed them both. I submitted a request online on Monday, had a call back that they could do the replacement on exactly the day and time I had requested (Wednesday morning). I really expected a two or three week wait because that seems the norm these days. Jr. and Geoff M. showed up on time and had the work done in a timely manner. They both were friendly, respectful and all around awesome people to have on your team. Overall a good value and Im happy to support a business that truly cares. I was impressed! Chris W. arrived within the 30 min. time window. He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and honest. He replaced the wireless keypad, installed a wireless wall console and completed the preventative maintenance. Chris then went over the directions of the items and shared what he discovered. Apparently the rollers and the pulleys on the garage door are getting worn. However, he estimated that they still have about a year of use left before I would need to replace them. If possible, I would award him more than 5 stars!

Fast and HONEST service. Requested an estimate on replacing a garage door, but also got an honest estimate for realigning the existing door, including moving tracks and adding molding. Ended up with virtually a rebuilt door for much less then replacement. The repair was handled quickly and the technician went above and beyond because of the pride he took in the quality of his work. Service was prompt. Chris W. came the day after my call. He saw right away what the issue was and explained it to me. He was courteous.

What started as a service call ended up to be much more involved. Chris was our service technician. We thought there was a problem with the eye sensor. Our system was obsolete and replaced with new eye sensors. The problem persisted. The unit circuit board could not be replaced due to the same situation. Chris explained it and provided me with a cost to replace. He was thorough and went above and beyond to make sure all questions were answered. He demonstrated how to program the unit and our remote as well as the integrated car opener. He demonstrated how to lubricate the track and when to do it and he explained the warranty. He adjusted the springs for more tension. He explained the factory reset on the Genie keypad. He never pressured me to purchase anymore than needed. He was polite, informative, fast, and very through. I will request him only in the future if needed!
