Went in for an oil change but i was leaking oil afterward. Turned out the drain plug was slightly defective. They had me come right in and fixed it up with a new plug and oil in under an hour free of charge. Very happy with their urgency to correct the issue

Big O tire Cottage Grove has trouble doing simple oil change.My wife had her oil changed a little over a week ago. Every day since I wipe oil off of floor so last night I crawled under vehicle to retighten the filter that was leaking. It was loose enough to turn by hand of which I took a video. This has been a constant problem with big o of which we talked with Bonnie about a few times before. If they can’t seem to remember to tighten filter properly what else is not getting done correctly?? Unfortunately it’s easier for me to crawl under and tighten it my self then it is to inconveniently find the time to drive it back there and wait for them to do it. Very disappointed!!!!!!

I want to say THANK YOU to Big O Tires for fixing the TPMS system in my vehicle. I truly appreciate the honesty. I am certain that had I taken it to a dealership I would have been taken for significantly more money. I will be returning to this spot. Thanks!

This shop did really good. Over the phone customer service was good. They had my car done earlier than expected and the cost was less than expected.

Took longer than stated for 2 new tires and all 4 rotors to be replaced. Vehicle does perform better yet $1,100 bill. Woof!

Bonnie was very helpful when I arrived with an emergency. I had a sudden flat and needed my car back asap for an appointment. She understood my urgency and got the work order in. Made an appointment, its best to call the shop and explain what you need. I had a great expierance with Aaron, the guy working the front. Got me in and out if there within an hour for and oil change and tire rotation. $25 is a great deal.

Smashed the oil filter when they installed it and this activated the low oil pressure alert which can cause detrimental damage to the car and caused the car to make a very loud noise. When we brought the car to our dealership, mechanic stated there was no way this could have been smashed in another way besides when it was installed. CLEARLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING/DO NOT CARE ENOUGH TO DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY. Will never come here again and will absolutely tell everyone I know not to come here either. Cant even perform a simple oil change. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE double check each others work and understand that you could be messing with peoples safety and lives by doing such poor work.

Price was way higher than I was originally quoted online. Bought 4 new tires mount and balanced. Vehicle started shaking as soon as I got on the highway. Called place back to bring it back in and scheduled a date and time. When I arrived to get my tires re balanced, the business posted a piece of paper on the door saying they were closed. Nobody called me and I wasted a vacation day to take my vehicle back in to get fixed. I called the big o tires in Northfield and they were able to get me in that day. They stated all 4 tires were balanced wrong. Lowest was 2 Oz off and the highest was 5 Oz off. I will never come back to big o tires ever again or recommend to anybody! No money off or even an apology for wasting all my time. Horrible business!!

I went to get my tires balanced and they didn’t balance my tires correctly. My car is still shaking badly, they got done too fast for them to do there job properly.

They put new tires on my car last November. I went in today because I couldnt get the caps off the air nozzles to fill them up for winter. They told me they wouldnt touch them because the caps are metal and they didnt want to risk breaking the sensors. I have not touched the tires since they put them on, so they mustve put the metal caps on to begin with. I wouldnt even know where to get different caps, much less think about changing them out from what was put on when the tires were installed. They were extremely condescending and said things happen in Minnesota weather, they are probably rusted on. Not sure how thats my problem when THEY ARE THE ONES THAT PUT THE METAL CAPS ON. Will never go here again.

The lady working was awesome. She got my tire in for repair 15 minutes before close. Found to be a leak from the bead. They where super helpful. Im gonna come back for all my tire needs. You ladies rock

Big O Tires in Cottage Grove is fabulous! They got us in for tires on a Saturday afternoon. We ran to Target to kill some time (on foot - we are a1car family at the moment) and we got a call from BigO letting us know they need the lug nut key. I had no idea that was a thing. Upon searching the car and having no luck finding it, they called a car dealer and spoke with the service department to find one for us. Off we went, got what we needed and still made it back in time to get tires. They stayed open 30 minutes past closing time to get us finished up. Great people! The manager and the employees were all top notch and definitely went the extra mile for us. We will absolutely go back. Great price on the tires, getting a $50 visa card and 6 months no interest on the Big O card. Couldnt ask for more.

Was ready to purchase a new tire/have it fixed but their staff suggested I call the place I purchased my tires from to see if I had a warranty....which I did! If thats not great customer service, I dont know what is! Will definitely be using Big O as my go to tire shop in the future. Thanks guys!

I went to Big O in an urgent situation with an extremely flat tire, and no one to give me a hand. Even though the shop was busy, David and Luke took my car in and plugged the flat. They were very friendly and so willing to help. I will go to Big O for tires from now on.

They are the most honest car repair shop Ive ever been to. I thought I had a flat tire and they told me the truth, that it was fine. Kevin was also so nice and I have a broken arm so they even helped put the tire back on. Theyve got my business going forward, thats for sure!

I like to do my own maintenance. I was bring big o tire my vehicle after I installed front suspension parts for an alignment. The technician took the time to show me that my front end still had an issue that I needed to resolve before they could perform a complete tire alignment. He mocked up what he was seeing on the alignment rack. This was above and beyond what he needed to do. Thank you. I would recommend big o tire in cottage grove to others. They are there to perform a service to the costumers that walk in the door. Thumbs ups.

I went in last week to have the battery replaced on my 2009 BMW 328i. While they were doing that I asked if they would give me a quote on 4 new tires as well as shocks and struts. I knew it would be expensive as I had received quotes from other local business. It took them a couple days as the parts were hard to find for my car but Shawn (manager) and the rest of his team kept me informed that they were still working on it. When they did quote me it was 1/3 off the average quote I had received so I immediately made an appointment for the following week. Shawn called me twice to let me know where they were with getting the parts in and that they were still on schedule to fix my car. On the day I dropped it off I didnt have a ride home so one of the mechanics gave me a ride. Car was done on time and they did a fantastic job. Drives like new and no surprises when it came to paying. Shawn and his team are top notch professionals and they have earned a lifelong customer. Cant praise them enough. I highly recommend Big O in Cottage Grove. Shop local!

I brought in truck for oil change. Still takes an hour so prepare for that and once again they forgot to rotate tires. Also prepare for a $19.99 advertised oil change to cost over $30 after all of the extra fees. I drive a truck so it is understandable to pay for the extra quart of oil but this seemed excessive to me.

Not only did the staff attempt to fix my flat tire but they went the extra mile. When the repair kit didnt work, they found a bulge in the tire and were a big help with my claim with the tire company! They even got me in the same day to get my replacement tire done! Thank you so much guys!

Very helpful. I had an issue and they tested my battery free if charge. It was not the battery, but had a couple suggestions on where to start. Didnt try to sell me just offered assistance. When I do need a mechanic to help me, I will definitely remember how well they treated me and return there for repairs.

It was my first time going to a Big O Tires. I had noticed a leak in one of my tires so I was researching places near where I was living and decided to try them out! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, they were very busy and short staffed too, but he took time to make sure I was helped and was very kind. Then after the tires was fixed, I wasn’t charged a dime!!!! I was not expecting that!!! I made sure to let my family all know and we will keep them in mind with any tire maintenance or sales!!

The manager and worker on my cars were great. They helped me find parts I needed and made good on something I was promised by the previous manager. The new manager is very upfront and helpful. Hes cleaning up the shop and is doing a great job from what I can see.

Not at all friendly or helpful. He wouldn’t leave the building to look at my car or listen to what was wrong with it. He claimed they had appointments all day yet no one showed up...I sat there for about 10-15 minutes trying to figure out where I should take my car and the parking lot remained empty. Online it showed they had appointment open in the afternoon as well. All I needed was a tire repaired..I’ve had really good experiences here in the past (maybe because a man was with me) but I will never go back.

Fantastic customer service! After driving for 5 hours to visit family for a holiday weekend, I found myself with a flat tire that needed 2 patches. Kevin B. was nice enough to patch my tire 10 minutes before close. I was in and out in 30 minutes. He went above and beyond! Very appreciated!

Brought my car in Saturday afternoon for a flat. Asked them to take a look at front end to make sure brakes were good and to check overall health of vehicle. They did the diagnostic to will a healthy grade (didn’t up sell me), and fixed my tire for free in well under 24 hours. I asked them why they didn’t charge me and they said they don’t charge for that and hope I come back. Great people working over there. Honest, fast, and friendly.

We are very impressed with the services we receive from Big O Tires both past and present. Wither it be maintenance or getting a repair done, they never pressure you into other services. They let you know what may be needed in the future but never give you that feeling like it needs to be done right now, this minute. We highly recommend Big O Tires. They are excellent!

I brought my Highlander in for tires only, but they informed me that my strut assembly was in need of replacement, and that my serpentine belt was about to go. I was already fully aware and in process of replacing both. Good to know that they actually look at things. About 8 months later, they did an inspection free of charge to identify a bad CV joint. Even though I planned to do the work myself, both techs cheerfully gave me very in depth advise on how to do it

The staff, service & expertise are 5 star here. We have used them for tires/ repairs/ replacements/ etc. for over 4 years now. These guys have always been extremely accommodating to my wife and I - we would not go anywhere else. They do not overcharge, are thorough, and really look out for the customers best interest. Even though they are branded as a tire shop primarily, they really specialize in all auto/repair services. I feel fortunate that these guys are in Cottage Grove, and ease of mind knowing I have a team that I can trust when I need it.

More than once Ive been told theyd mount a tire for me that day if I dropped it off and than once theyve not done as they said, and worse they dont apologize or even seem to care that theyve waisted their customers time.

Crew was able to fit me into their very busy schedule when i had an emergency and needed a new set of tires. Crew seemed very knowledgeable and was able to tell me about other things that were going on with my car beside the tires I bought. I asked questions about my car that had more to do with the car than the service they were providing and I was able to act on their recommendations.

I needed a new vavle stem on my other car last minute and I called everywhere today and they said itll cost me $20-$30 and said I would have to wait hours because they were too busy. Then I called Big O and I was immediately greeted with a great attitude and they were more than willing to help me. Kevin Berg was so kind and helpful and Im really impressed with the customer service. I didnt pay a DIME for any of it! Plus it was very fast. My new go to place for anything I need!

We have taken both our vehicles to this shop for the past year or so. Good experience each time. The mechanics always give us options and recommendations. Up front about cost. Bonnie at the front desk is great. Friendly and knowledgeable. Happy to break every thing down kindergarten-style for me if I have questions about repairs. It’s never fun to drop money on auto stuff, but at least we have a reliable place to go. That helps a bit!

Made my appointment online on saturday night. They called me sunday morning to confirm my appointment. David told me that they didnt have my selected tires at the store but would call the next day when they had them. David had my tires a couple hours later from the Rogers store! Got new tires here a few months ago. Noticed one was slowly going flat. Thought it was just cold weather. After a few weeks I decided to bring it in. They had a full schedule and still were able to look at it. There was a screw in the tire. They fixed it right on the spot! I was in and out. Great customer service!

Ive been there for routine oil changes. However ive needed more work done lately that I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I brought it in they diagnosed it and fixed it within a few hours at a price that I could afford. They have great discounts and just a big thanks to Dante for excellent customer service. For the second time in a row, arrived for scheduled appointment to be told there were not enough staff. Was told only one of the 2 scheduled services could be done and I should come back another time for the other. Overall my family has been very disappointed by how much the customer service has gone downhill in recent months at this store. Staff are unprofessional and it feels unwelcoming. I have returned to the store in hopes that it was a one time thing only to be disappointed and frustrated again. Unfortunately I will go elsewhere and pay more money because my time is valuable.

First of all customer service at this shop is above and beyond great! I took my car in to fix an issue with traction control, it was engaging for no reason in the middle of summer. After repairs were done I picked up the car and it was still doing the same thing! I emailed the shop and David called me back couple of days later and asked me to bring the car back in as they dont want any disappointed customers. I took the car back and they got it fixed in couple of hours no extra charges. Apparently the wheel bearing they put it to fix the issue was defective. I like companies that stand behind their service/product. I will definitely be bringing my car here for repairs or tires.

The young gentleman who was working at the desk was polite and friendly. I called at 7:00, knowing the store didnt open until 7:30 and he answered and was able to fit me in with little notice, right at 7:30 to fix a leaky tire. He kept me informed what was being done and the timeline and was nice when letting me know I needed new brakes. Ill be back!

After midas left I has been looking everywhere for a new auto shop. I was happy to learn that most of the midas guys still worked at Big O tires. As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to have great service. My oil change was simple and they gave me no BS about my car. They kept it HONEST about what my car really needed, they didnt try to sell me anything just to make a buck. Im so excited to have found a place to continuously take My car and know that its taken care of.

Had an appointment at 11. Arrived on time. Estimated completion of new tires and an alignment was about an hour. Went out ran a couple errands and arrived back two hours later. Vehicle still wasn’t done. Currently it is almost 4 and I’m still waiting for it to be finished. Only redeeming quality was Matt the salesman. Both my wife and I were very underwhelmed by the experience.

They wanted me to pay for oil change, balance and tire rotation, car was there over 6 hrs only oil change was done (I hope so) but they pulled it out w/o doing the rest of what was required; said sorry the technician must have forgot. I have been taking my cars to Shawn for years now and wouldnt trust my car with any other mechanic for anything more than a oil change. Shawnknows my cars well and always tells it how it is without trying to upsale me anything I didnt actually need or want. His crew just finished a clutch replacement in my car. I was really worried that the repairs would be expensive and take a long time, but I should have known better with Shawn. It turned out to be a fairly quick replacement with a good deal on the prices compared to what I was told by other shops! If there is one thing I will tell anyone, its trust Shawn and his crew. They will treat your car with the care and expertise it deserves for a price thats fair.

I stopped at Big O Tires today, because my tire light came on. It turned out that each tire was about 10 psi low. The manager, Dave, filled all four right away, and refused any payment or tip. I was back on the road in about 10 minutes. Best customer service!

Had an appointment at 9am to have 4 tires installed. I waited 3 and a half hours in their waiting room for the work to be completed. I am guessing they worked on other cars while I waited as it shouldnt take that long for tires to be installed.

I had an appointment for 4pm Sunday and arrived at 4pm to have 1 tire replaced. At 4:35pm Mary called to say they did not have my tire in stock....? They offered a lower end tire which I accepted. I then received a call at 4:44pm stating that they would not be able to change the tire since they close at 5pm. The reason you make an appointment is so that no ones time is wasted. This was a very disappointing experience to say the least.

I am not sure why I keep trying to come back. I had called back in March about replacing all my tires. I was told they were a special size & I would need order them. They told me when I needed to call to ensure that they would be on the next delivery. (Tuesday)I then called & was told they already placed their order so it would be two weeks. I called other places & decided I would wait and give them another chance. So I called back to order my tires and I said the wait is fine. He then told me they just changed their ordering date & it will be even longer...…. Okay fine, I will wait. I asked when they get deliveries so that we can get my appt scheduled. He said well the truck comes at different times. How about you call me & I will let you know if they are in. I asked if we could make an appt in hopes they would be in by a Friday & he said to call Thursday and squeeze me in.So, I call Thursday. Well he wasnt scheduled to be in until 2pm. The person on the phone couldnt tell me if my tires were there.I called back @ 2pm & got told they were super busy. He believed my tires were there but they dont have any appts until next week. ( I was told he was waiting to schedule my appt as he would squeeze me in)I expressed my frustration with all the run around. After all, this is a lot of hassle when in return I was paying $900 for tires. So he tells me to drop it off & theyll do what they can. It took 30 minutes just to drop my car off. Another customer was arguing with the manager & asking for a corporate # and it was really uncomfortable. I dropped it off at lunch time & picked it up @ 5:15. When going to pay I brought my quote from online that had the correct tires & location. I was told the online pricing is incorrect, and I told them I was paying what they are advertising. Part of my price included free tire rotations & free alignment for one year. However, they are always too busy to get me an appt. Ive tried scheduling multiple appts online & they never respond saying theyve accepted it. Every time I call they say theyre so busy & behind & short staffed. They say we wont be getting to online appts. There has to be a better way to communicate with customers. Take the online scheduling away maybe? I click on a time slot that is available & then I reach out minutes before my appt cuz I havent heard anything & they say they cant do it. I honestly believe I will not be able to use my free alignment & tire rotation. Its such a pain.

Got new plates for my car. It is so cold and I dont have the right tool. to change them myself. I called Big O Tires to see what they charged for the service. They made me an appointment for the next day and charged NOTHING!!!!

Had a free tire repair patch a few weeks ago and its held great, the staff is friendly and always someone to greet right away.

Tried to schedule an appointment to look at my car thought I was having transmission issues and they wouldnt even touch it. went to another shop and they fixed it found out it was a very minor fix. also thought aaron was a little big aggressive as well not a big fan
