This place was on my list for a while and felt like why not get some chicken and waffles on a cheat day. I called in my order to who I believe was the manager and I told him I would be there about 20 minutes. When I arrived I was able to find quick parking in front. The place was pretty busy with inside and outside parking. I told the manager my order and he siad it will be a few more minutes. I paid $17.05 in total. I waited about 10 more minutes and grabbed my food and left. When I got in I tried everything. The waffle was soft and fluffy and not bad. The chicken was just as I liked it with the bone and there was a leg, breast, wing and thigh. The chicken was seasoned really good and was very tasty. I enjoyed it and I will definitely go back to try other items.
It was my first time at this place. The waitress was kinda awkward about telling us the menu was virtual. ( we’ve never been here, sorry) I got the chorizo Benedict. Not only is it not chorizo. It’s some gross ground beef mush that’s horribly seasoned. I didn’t eat it and still paid for it because I feel uncomfortable telling that same waitress that it was gross.it soaked through the bread and became a giant nasty mush. My friend got an omelet w surprise jalapeños and also didn’t eat her food. $40 for literally the drinks and sides that we ate.At the end I told her how gross it was and she had barely any reaction 😂We won’t be back.
Will share positives and negatives. Positives: The owner or staff person, lady with white hair seems very nice. The food was presented nicely. Looked pretty. Has a more modern feel to it. Different. Cute. Good gyro. Nice portion.Negatives: Aside from it being busy that day, there was a loud humming or mechanical sound in background. If youre looking for a quiet place, I wouldnt recommend it. Tables are very close to each other. The menu is not on the table. Its only online. Easy to find by scanning code, but tiny to look at it and a bit overwhelming because its very long. Or it seemed that way. The crepes were a little thick for my taste. I like them much thinner, but it was still a pretty presentation. I realize we chose one of the busiest day of the year, but I did not like the yellow signs that pretty much said we only had an hour or short time to be there. I dont want to be rushed out of a place on a special day even if its busy.
Great local spot!!! The service was excellent and fast. Menu has everything you could want from a diner, breakfast, and lunch classic as well as some unique items. I went kit on a limb and got the crab cake eggs Benedict. It was fantastic, also choose the get the station fries (disco fries) instead of the home fries. They were perfect!
Had breakfast at this place not knowing what to expect. Was warmly welcomed by Tammy our server and we were able to comfortably settle in. She poured us coffee as we ordered our food and was delighted to see the larhe portions given to us. I had the steak and eggs which was cooked perfectly! The onion rings are amazing! the waffles and fried chicken was delicious! Overall we had a wonderful experience and we are definitely coming back for more.
We have been meaning to find a GOOD casual brunch place....finally we found it. Menu has something for everyone. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet....excellent. Hubby ordered Boston cream pie pancakes!!! Decadent to say the least. Sharon was great. Will definitely be coming back regularly.
I am so excited we found this cute little brunch spot! The best in the area hands down. Prices are amazing, and the food is the best! Only down side is that it can get quite warm inside during summer, not sure if they’ve been having some AC issues but if they can fix that, i would never leave. We only went twice so far, and didn’t have to wait at all, but it’s also constantly full and busy so maybe we just get lucky. Plethora of options and high quality from presentation to taste! 100% recommend!!!!!
Recently refurbished and change of owners, the Station House pays homage to the historical Raritan Railway that goes through the town. The menu has been revamped and has a lot more choice than before. Only trying the breakfast menu, at the moment, the food is excellent! Ordering the enchilada omelet, it packed some eat and a good amount of veggies and other ingredients. The other dish is one of the egg Benedict’s with spinach and ham (sauce on the side). The eggs were perfect and having the sauce on the side does make a difference. Definitely a good local spot for for those who love in Cranford. (UPDATE) Again this place knocks it out of the ballpark with their eggs Benedict.
We had just caught the end of the rush so the servers were in close out checks and clean mode. The staff was very friendly and personable. We ordered a cheeseburger and that came with two two sides, french fries and soup. All for around $10. I ordered the zucchini salad and that also came with a side of soup for about $14. The food was food and nice sized portions.The very nice nice young man that was bussing the tables should have his hair tied up and out of his face. Its pretty long and he still deals with food and our eating sets. He also had cut his finger, I could tell because he had it wrapped with napkin and kept checking it. Next time he should be allowed to take a moment and clean and bandage it properly for his health and sanitary requirements.Also the coffee mugs werent clean on the inside, it happens but just be a little more mindful and give them a check.All in all, I would visit again.
My hubs and I had a delicious brunch at the Cranford Station House! I ordered a delicious savory crepe (build your own) I added spinach, cream cheese, mushrooms, and avocados. It came with a side of fries which I substituted for the cheesey grits. My hubs ordered a breakfast burrito (it was a bit heavy on the jalapenos in case anyone else needs to ask for less). He enjoyed it otherwise.We also ordered the french toast sticks which came with a side of cinnamon cream cheese and it was to due for!The food was excellent and I definitely would come back. Side note, I spilled an entire glass of water on myself, my food, and the floor and the staff came rushing in to save me. They cleaned off the table, gave me napkins, brought me a fresh plate of food. It really was such great customer service. I was so embarrassed but they made me feel like it wasnt a bother which meant so much to me.Our waitress Tiffany was so sweet and kind. The owner, Mike, said he has been running restaurants for 45 years and that this restaurant is co-owned by him and his son. Thanks for a great brunch!!!

Went there for the first time today. Will not be the last. The menu was great, the food was served fast, hot, and fresh, and, most importantly, the service was absolutely amazing. I was there with my mother, who is quite elderly. She had a hard time getting in and out of the chairs outside. They brought her a chair from inside! Every table was taken outside, and the waitress still treated us as if we were her only customers. She was kind and attentive. As we left, another worker even chased after us because my mom forgot her sweater. If you have not tried this place, go. If you have, go back! Fantastic.
Went to brunch with a friend that prefers eating outside for now. The host was very accommodating and seated us right away once tables opened up. The service was great and the food was quite good as well. I will definitely be coming back!
I went with 5 friends and all of them loved the food! Everything was fresh, amazing and homemade. The service was awesome as well, we felt great there. I 100 % recommend this place and will be there again soon!
First time there - it was very crowded, so we sat at counter, which was fine - Wife had a standard breakfast, which was ok, except for some burnt, bottom of the pan, home fries, I had avacado on toast, with eggs - good, but bread not toasted much, if at all - service was very good - would go again maybe lunch, or dinner - not open for dinner everyday -
This was the first time getting food from here. Heard rave reviews so I was excited. Unfortunately it could not have been further from the truth. Pick up the order to go. The French toast literally had a pinch of powdered sugar on it. Didn’t know there was a sugar shortage. We also ordered the steak skillet. The people who cook here clearly do not know how to season anything. The entire dish was completely bland. Also had an egg and potato sandwich and the roll was incredibly soggy. We ordered as soon as they opened and picked up 10 mins later so there is no excuse. Will not be coming back

My wife had the crab cakes and Mac while I ordered the thanksgiving wrap. Wife said the crab cakes were ok but nothing special and lacked flavor. My thanksgiving wrap was flavorless minutes the cranberry sauce. For dessert I got the blueberry cheesecake and my wife had the Boston cream pie. My cheesecake was hardened on the outside like it has been out way too long. It lacked all flavor of a cheesecake for the parts I did want to eat. My wife couldn’t eat her pie because she said it tasted sour. Overall will not be back.

Standard diner food at higher prices and you get to wait at least twice as long to order or eat it.
2 chicken cutlets on a bun does not equal a fried chicken sandwich, I can’t even imagine what the grits taste like.. Not happy with the food at all…

Great brunch spot with outdoor dining. They have a nice brunch selection with both sweet and savory options. The eggs Benedicts are great. I got the chorizo Benny, which was delicious!! We also got the chicken and waffles. Waffle was good but chicken lacked flavor. Excellent and friendly service. Would definitely come back to try out other items on the menu.
Went for brunch. Very good customer service! But the food didnt amount to the GREAT presentation. Quesadillas were fall apart, spilling. Curly fries and waffle fries are all I recommend as far as fries. The steak fajita panini had no seasoning unfortunately. Unless you like natural flavors

I just ordered the carrot pancakes, and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. First they are simply basic pancake batter with shredded carrots. Absolutely zero cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice, the things that make carrot cake a carrot cake. Adding to the disappointment was the absence of a cream cheese syrup or sauce. But what really ruined the experience was the unnecessary and odd apple pie filling.My friend ordered the Oreo pancakes, and those had less effort put into them. These are the same exact basic pancake batter with Oreo dust sprinkled on top.And every time you ask for anything other than the exact menu item they tell you there is a charge for that. An example is another friend asked for eggs without toast and without potatoes (they certainly didn’t lower the price for the deductions) and when they requested 1 single plain pancake they where told they would need to pay for an additional order.

I happened to be driving by this morning and noticed this little place. My boyfriend and I decided to stop and grab breakfast. Honestly I was afraid to get breakfast from here because I didnt know if it would be good or not. Im so happy I came. It was a wonderful experience. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted by a warm smile from a gentleman that looked like he may be the manager. We were sat immediately and the food was great. Our server was also great. Looking forward to my next visit with you !
Post pandemic, I do not recommend. Wait staff was inattentive and overstretched. My waitress dropped my food and ran off, which made it impossible to get my bacon cooked well done as I asked. She never once came by to ask how we were. She also decided to make my side orders a platter, which she said was cheaper. When I asked her what a side of fries cost, she didn’t know. So I asked, how do you know it’s less. Never going back.

Love this spot! Excellent food solid prices. Can get pretty busy but, thats a good thing. Cant complain about a wait. Casual friendly staff. Theyve got great breakfast. Solid lunch items. Im not sure if theyre open for dinner, nonetheless, cant go wrong! There is no parking lot but plenty of parking. Breakfast quesadilla is solid! All the breakfast is really dank I cant stress that enough. Pesto chicken sandwich is great too, anything can come in a wrap! Okay go look at the menu now. If you want a solid diner style bite in Cranford, thats the move.
Weve been here twice for breakfast. They have an Interesting menu and good food, but the staff seem frazzled and we waited a long time for our food. The managers were very apologetic and said our order ticket fell on the floor without anyone noticing. . Everyone seems to be trying their best to deal with the huge customer demand (the line is out the door on the weekends).
Was so excited to hear that this place finally opened and let me tell you it did not disappoint!! We stopped in today for lunch and the whole place is completely renovated with a train station theme big open windows high ceilings my kids loved it! The food was so great we really havent had a breakfast like that in a long time!!! WELL DONE!!! We will be returning! Finally a nice little gem for the Town of Cranford!

Recently opened diner. Nice decor with blown up photos of old Cranford. Tin ceiling. Service was pleasant, attentive, fast. My wife and i liked the breakfast items we ordered, eggs Benedict and Taylor ham roll. Prices were reasonable. Though new, the place did have a short line of folks waiting for a table.
Had a fantastic experience with my family. The food was appetizing and exceeded expectations. The management was very welcoming and gave out free pastries to their new customers. Our server was professional, polite and accommodating. Wish the ownership the best of luck and will be back soon!
Fabulous! Such an extensive breakfast brunch and lunch menu that youll be planning your next visits to try other things on the menu before the food even arrives! Each plate come to the table so artistically prepared I really should have taken a photo! And food is delicious. For a family friendly casual place, it serves up fancy looking food!
I brought my family here for brunch. We were not only extremely well received, but the food was sensational! It was also my sisters bday and they were super thoughtful and even brought her a piece of cake without us even asking for it. 10/10!

The food is delicious and the service is great. So happy to have a great breakfast spot downtown. Good vegetarian options for me, tons of extravagant pancakes for my husband, and plenty of meat options for my husband. Kayla was a wonderful and attentive server.
Went for Sunday breakfast today, and glad we did. Great service, delicious food and lively well lit room makes for an excellent visit. Food took a little longer than would have liked, but since they have only been open a week I am sure they have some issues to work out. Worth a try!!
It is not everyday that you come across a diner like restaurant that has whole wheat pancakes and whole wheat french toast. Since whole wheat products are the only ones I would order, I was excited, and they did not disappoint. Or course, they had traditional pancakes too for those that dont care for whole wheat. They also have fun items, like carrot and oreo pancakes, (but sadly they were not whole wheat). The omelette and home fries were good too, and a nice portion size. Ill definitely come back.

Great food and friendly service with a classic diner feel directly across the street from the Cranford Train Station. Seating for two or up to six in the booths, more probably can be accommodated with a little advance warning. Ive been three or four times so far and always enjoyed it, and plan to go back again. (Hugs to Sophie!)

We have been here 2 times already. Both times the service was exceptional. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that they give. We have only done breakfast here and have not had any issues with the food. We highly recommend this establishment.

Loved the work done inside and out of the building. This place has been buzzing since they started renovations. Wasnt able to sit down on the first day the opened and ordered lunch for take out the following day as they were packed again. Food and service was great, Its a new restaurant and Im sure they are adjusting to the big hype they got over the past few months, wish them the best. I will be back!
This place is amazing from the decor to the attention to the food.I had the philly cheese station omelette and i have to say it was the most amazing delicious perfectly made omelette I’ve ever had.The orange juice is a must try too.I’ll be coming back to try the lunch menu soon.
On the positive side, the burgers and fries are fine here and the menu is pretty diverse. However, do not order the “homemade corned beef hash” it is most definitely not or the hot pastrami because it is too tough to chew. Maybe we went in a bad day but, in my 88 year old mother’s words, “ that was a bust”.

Great atmosphere friendly staff. The food was delicious and the server really paid attention to our table. She refilled our drinks without us having to flag her down and asked if we were ok and everything with a smile. The portion sizes are generous and we even had left over for later. This is a must try!
I wish we found this place a while ago. The food we got was great and the portions are pretty large. Pickup was a little confusing but was happy with everything else.

FINALLY great breakfast comes to cranford NJ!....Im so happy this place opened. Its the perfect place to stop before you take that train ride to work every morning and the coffee is superb. I havent had all my favorites on the menu yet but so far everything Ive had Im going to have again, thats for sure. This area has needed a place like this for a while now. Definitely some things with the service and food that need to be fixed (they just opened this week), but the 4 stars are for having the right attitude. They erred on the side of bringing us things we didnt ask for, were grateful for my honest feedback, and gave us free cheesecake. Im optimistic that theyll improve everything as they get more experience. I will definitely be back and will adjust my review accordingly.
