Waited 25 minutes to check out on a monday late afternoon. 3 cashiers, no self check out open, no 15 items or less open. Saw at least 4 people say No way to the wait with 3 or 4 items. Manager locking the front door to close at 5:00. I guess because not enough help, maybe management should of jumped on a register for a hour. Did see 2 young employees pushing carts into store.

When the store is busy you can walk out with beer. The 3 employees up front will be busy with at least 50 customers. Youre welcome

Always long lines. They closed self check out, so now if you want to get a few things, you are waiting. Do yourself a favor, and do not buy frozen things unless you want them to melt by the time you leave and get home.

They have zero regard for customer service, we asked why the self checkout was closed and they said they were low on employees while at the same time they had several workings just walking around the store. Then they threatened us and said they can refuse us service if we continued to talk about it after we got in line. No regard for customer satisfaction - people have kids to get to and work to get to and they did not even open the 2nd register right away. Such a spit in the face to all of their customers.

A grocery store, but more a warehouse type setting. Nice fruits/veggies, nice meat selections. Be prepared to bag your own groceries (I prefer this!)

I forgot how big, well lit and clean Food 4 Less was when we ran in for a couple items.

Handling the situation very well due to the outbreak. Security lets one in the store as one leaves. I shop here all the time and it only resulted in about a 10 minute wait to get in, but the cashiers are moving fast so in the end...just a normal trip. Some items sparse but not too bad! Be aware that the TP hoarders were there LOL...Nothing!

Very long wait in Deli. Only one person working on Saturday morning. Went to purchase eggs and the whole crate was damaged with every single carton having at least 2 broken eggs in it. Had to move it to get to good eggs in back. No one was around to help. Male employee stepping on cases of water with dirty work boots trying to reach something on top shelf. Not a very good experience today.

Good sales. Food is pretty cheap but not enough selection. I always have to go to another grocery store. Realized after I got home that I bought expired items on more than one occasion. Cashiers are friendly. The parking lot is gross and theres not enough lanes open.

This Particular location is alright, it has a decent amount of food variety along with reasonable prices that is why I shop here, some of the staff are constantly speaking in loud obnoxious personal conversations which Id rather not be a witness to and others are not knowledgeable when you ask them about a product while there is a small number of staff who are not this way at this location. Overall it is not a bad place to shop while it can greatly improve.

Decent selection, good produce, generally good prices.. But if youre planning to use the self-checkout lanes, consider bringing earplugs or prepare for a headache because the volume is WAY too high on them.

Overall Food4Less has great prices, especially on their lunch meat! The main reason Im not giving 5 stars is I think the staff could be friendlier, the outside front of the store should be picked up more often and I cant stand the fact that the employees smoke at the front entrance! ... other than that its a great store!

There is never enough registers open.... The line could have 5 people with a cart full and they will not open another register.I have also had issues with items listed in the sales flyer not being in stock and they will not give a raincheck or another item for the same price. This happens a lot when the have Coke on sale, you go there and the shelves are empty! If you are going to list an item on sale and you know it sells out then you would think they would plan better the next time. instead of letting this happen time and time again.

Really nice store, I travel 25 miles round trip to shop there. Nice produce and lots of meat choices. The store is extremely reasonably priced, always clean.

Discontinued a lot of their food, Prices have increased with less help to assist you. From this point foward, Ill be shopping ar Aldis or Walmart. I will not be going back

I ordered two cakes for two of my events in the last month. The bakery staff at the crest hill location are polite and dedicated to their craft. Absolutely beautiful cakes and cupcakes! I was extremely pleased and the decorators are ridiculously talented. I am definitely going to refer this location to everyone i know.

I shop at food 4less all the time they have very good products and yes the prices its very cheap

Great staff, great carts, poor management. They do not staff enough cashiers and shoppers are forced to use the self checkouts. That results in long lines. Not worth it. Not going back unless the staff more cashiers. They will be out probably $3K in profit a year due to the lack of staff and that’s just one customers not shopping there.

Stay away! Go anywhere else. Its filthy. The place smelled like sour milk and rotting food. I walked into the spaghetti sauce aisle and what looked like a jar had broken across the back of the wall behind the shelves. Thing is, there was no glass. Just rotting dried on sauce that made me gag. So someone knew it was there. You couldnt mistake the smell as it hit you just as you walked into the aisle. I felt nauseous for an hour after shopping here. I gingerly chose the few things I needed and left quickly. I will never return. Ive shopped all over Chicago and the Suburbs and Ive never been in a grocery store that caused me to feel sick.

The cashier was only able to give$20 cash back with debit and credit cards. At least she was honest. I recently saw something on the news about cashiers that scam people when they dont check the receipt and pocket the $20 cash back. Also recently bought some ground beef that was expired. It was low fat 92% lean and a pre-packaged chub. Quite a disappointment.

There was a printed false advertisement there and the mgr was pleasant about it at all. Other than that it is usually a pleasure shopping there. At least twice a week.

Purchased a pork shoulder roast on 3/1 and opened the package at home within an hour of purchase. It wreaked of rotting meat.I called the store and spoke with Tyler (who couldnt put me through to the manager because he was on lunch). I explained I had purchased some meat and it was rotten, and he should check to ensure there was no more bad meat on the shelves. He explained that all their meat was sold and there was nothing left to check. Huh?Okay. I am now looking for another place to purchase groceries. I dont trust Food4Less.

The best butcher shop. Top of the line products and service. This little store is my go to. Will never purchase my foodstuff anywhere else.

The place was busy as the the day before Christmas Eve could be. The cashier called some to pack my groceries. Did a good job kept the bags light.

Nicely stocked shelves. Store was clean! Customer service could be a bit better, the cashier kept being distracted talking to other employees and answering the phone ...she may have been a manager that had to do check out or something.

Hey, the weekly ads are new on Wednesdays, but there were plenty on hand to walk around the store with on a Sunday. They stock the sale items for view right up front. No need to walk all over the store. The sale prices are in LARGE PRINT.

The people are always friendly. This store never seems to carry common items compared to walmart or Jewels. I always find myself going to another grocery store for items. Restrooms are gross.

Nice store, has pretty much everything, Is owned by Kroger. Very good prices.

Small selection and prices are really no cheaper than Jewel or Wal-Mart. But then Kroger never was a major player. Guess thats why theyre gone and Fool 4 Less is here now.

Way better than walmart, I consider it my new place for groceries in the Joliet, IL area. ALDI will be my first choice, but now adding Food 4 Less to my grocery stores to shop will make it even better, fantastic bakery/deli selections, terrific prices-beats walmart any day, Kroger knows what they are doing in this chain of theirs!

Maybe Food Less. Only went cause Im a night owl-wanted some beer and a snack. Jewel stops selling liquor at 11, Food LESS stops at midnight. Hmmm. No Guinness. No Monterey jack cheese. Jewel has snack egg rolls _8) for 3.99. Food Less had a party pack of 12 things (shoved in with the Mexican food) for 9.99. 4 egg rolls cost 3.79. Where is the 4 Less? Oh-the Enter doors (where the carts are) doesnt open. The exit does, but there are no carts or baskets. That pretty much limited me to shopping. Dont have any brands I buy(example: Fairlife milk) but I didnt have a cart anyways. I got a pot pie for about 3.60. And a bottle of Lite. Note to self: stop work and research and go to jewel before 11 for CHEAPER QUALITY food and beer. If you dont care about brands or the quality of your food-the place is for you. Especially if you dont need a cart. And-you can here all about wal-marts price match guarantee from the cashier. Waaaaay unprofessional. Never ever ever had that experience at Jewel-or Aldi! Lol. Hit Joliet Liquors for beer, and Speedway for food. Better deal. And shop Jewel.

Mostly o.k. two issues, water machine is gross. Looks like mold and mildew growing inside and last time I drank it, it tasted like both. Getting my water at Jewels- even at twice the price. Grocery I brought that triggered this email: got some hamburger​ patties that are normally $10.00, however, these were and are labeled for $7.49. Maybe cashier would have caught it if she was not talking to her friend instead. On the positive side, I was at Walmart earlier and found MOSTLY their prices were higher than your store.

I like Food for Less but it needs Sea Food counter. They could have a roll away counter just give people the feeling that the sea food is fresh.

We love food for less...it simply has the best deals on all the sale items especially the deli section. I have saved a lot of time and money going to food for less instead of Walmart and aldi to find the best deal. I would only say that sometimes there limited parking and sometimes a bit untidy.

The store is a visual eye sore inside and out, the lines are long, and the produce is not the freshest but for the convenient prices and the lack of profit margin the store makes to remodel its a good store. The clerks are friendly and it is well organized.
