(Rigister 19, about 8:15/ 8:30pm) my mother in law and i have been coming to this store for the past few months since shes moved in and the store is always clean and well stocked and has very friendly associates. So even though we have a stop and shop in town, we prefer to take the trip here! Thank you!!!

My favorite grocery store. The Dominican baker with the winning smile and superb attitude makes the best olive bread in the state. I travel 20 miles weekly for it!

Good store but my review is more about hiring system. This store always have signs up that they’re hiring for all positions, right. My son applied as soon as he turned 16 years old. Never heard from them, so I told him call them. He calls them and was told to reapply, which he did, not once, twice but three times. The last time he reapplied was because I had talked to the store manager and he told me to have my son reapply and to let the hiring manager know and that I spoked to him (the store manager). The hiring manager, while on the phone with me was very rude. She asked to speak to my son, my son talked to her and she was rude to him and to top it off she shuts him down by saying we’re not currently hiring teenagers. Now I understand why this store is always seeking help, nobody wants to work with someone like that. So in a way I’m glad my son is not working for this store or with that hiring manager. I’m probably wasting my time writing this but I hope that the store manager or whoever it may concern would read this.

Very disappointed in their Fresh Produce Department and have stern doubts of the truthfulness of the products they sell!I wanted to purchase some Vidalia Onions, however the bin was empty. I asked a young man restocking that area if he was going to restock Vidalia Onions. He directed me to the bin of Sweet Onions, saying they were the same and he was instructed to fill both the Vidalia bin and the Sweet Onion bins with Sweet Onions. I informed him that Vidalia Onions could only be grown in the Vidalia County and surrounding area of Georgia. Sweet Onions can be grown any where in the world!There is a Federal Vidalia Onion Act of 1986 to ensure that other onions cannot be palmed off as Vidalia.I wanted Vidalia and your store tried to fraudulently sell me Sweet Onions from Peru!

This is a beautiful grocery store filled with incredibly good food! I felt like I was in a Whole Foods store. Their Bakery puts out insanely beautiful incredibly tasting cakes! They are so inexpensive and definitely give professional Bakers a run for their money for looks and tastes and price!! If you need a cake for catering for any occasion go here before any other professional places that will cost you twice as much!!

I have my groceries delivered to my house from here. Usually no issues everything is fine. But I keep getting my deli products that are not sealed. Meaning they are able to be opened because the sticker is not over the sealed part of the bag. Meaning anybody can open them. I am not comfortable with this and have made it known to them already. Nowadays things should be sealed properly in my opinion

This is a very beautiful ShopRite... I really enjoy shopping here because this store just has so much to choose from. The problem is when I shop here I can never stick to my budget because I always find something yummy and wonderful that I just gotta try or just have that Ive tried previously thats not on my list. So bring extra money or food stamps because youre gonna need them... And also comfortable walking shoes because this Shop rite is a huge store like I said with so much to choose from so stop by & check it out you wont be sorry I promise you that. Of course they have their great sales week after week & they will accept competitor Shoprite ONLY coupons !!! Hope to see you there

One of the largest, newest, and nicest Shoprites in CT. Very reasonable prices on most items- and better than average on many. Sales can provide substantial additional savings. One of the things I like most about this location is there availability of locally produced goods, especially notable in the dairy dept. Ive found milk, yogurt and cheese from local producers at really good prices. The store did a nice job during the height if pandemic shortages which wad appreciated!

Big supermercado and clean 👌has good and fresh meat any thing that you need you can get it there.

Stopped in for a few things. Nice new store, didn’t have a card to take advantage of any sales but still very affordable nonetheless.

Employees are lazy. Half the time you cant find who you need and tge other times they come up with an excuse on why they cant help you.

Really friendly staff and they were super busy, and I was in and out. I had to get some cod for Christmas eve and I had a few questions to the employee behind the seafood department and he was very knowledgeable and really nice. This was my first time going to shoprite and I will be coming back to this one.

The store itself was very clean, all of the employees were wearing proper masks (and I say proper because in other stores the employees are wearing tiny bandanas that just float on their face so theyre not actually sealing anything out or keeping their germs in. Its basically like holding a napkin in front of your face, not actually touching your face, and some of them arent even wearing masks at all. Theyre just wearing a plastic eye shield which doesnt protect you from anything except maybe if someone sneezes on your face, but even then all of the airborne stuff is just going to go around the shield and youre going to breathe it in anyway)They had a ton of paper towels and toilet paper. And they also had like 500 crates of disinfectant wipes and bleach wipes. And there didnt seem to really be any empty spots on any shelves as opposed to when I go to other stores like the blue big box store or the traffic signal store (dont want to name names) those stores have barely any cleaning products at all and a very small selection of paper products. And are still out of the select food items...

Unsure if it was an honest mistake or if this is some sort of practice of charging customers more; however if you use ShopRite from Home please review your receipt. I never did until this morning for yesterdays order. I was doubled charged on 4 separate items. Aka, I purchased one item and they charged me for two items on four different things. Customer service couldnt help over the phone and I must go in. Rather frustrating.

We love ShopRite of Cromwell. Were there 2 or 3 times a week. The cashiers are awesome. The store is clean and the prices are great....

My new local grocery store, I do all my shopping here They have fantastic variety and a wonderful helpful staff. Now they do they have Make your own organic peanut butter thats you can make your own Glendale. They have a wonderful deli and great music playing at all times! Yes I said it they have awesome music playing over the loud speakers while you shop.

Every time I go there we get excellent service never have an issue and if there is a problem like a item is missing and there isnt any more in the store typically they do not have any issue on writing us a rain check unless it is specifically written in their flyer that no rain checks are allowed for that one specific item

The large sign at the entrance requiring you to wear a mask is merely a suggestion. The amount of people not wearing their mask in this store is astounding. I understand you cant fix stupidity, but enforcing a state order while ALWAYS having an employee at the door shouldnt be this hard.

Large selection, fresh vegetables, prepared foods, one really well done supermarket.

As far as grocery stores go this is one of the best. The fresh and ready meal selection is phenomenal. Great produce. Excellent meats. Pricing in line with big y or stop n shop but you get so much more. Never going to a different grocer as long as they keep up the great work!

The self checkout area is far from Covid Friendly...it felt like a pig pen with disorganized lines and people are right on top of each other. The store itself was pretty nice despite that, however I bought a fruit platter that was rather expensive and it tasted off. I was really disappointed. The watermelon was pretty gross tasted old and the grapes had little seeds in each one making each bite of one of my favorite fruits irritating. Don’t really think I’ll be going back but if I lived in Cromwell maybe? I’d just steer clear of shoprite made items like fruit platters and definitely do curbside pickup if you are a Covid worrier

What a nice clean store, so much to choose from, and all of the hot and cold food choices upon entering is difficult not to get at least something. what a difference from what was there prior.

ShopRite is a great place to shop for groceries. They have a huge selection for decent prices. Staff are always very friendly and parking is plentiful.

(Updates added below)Many employees not helpful at all. Ask where something is and they just say they dont know and make no attempt to help. Deli workers could be faster but generally very polite (see update below for latest experience). One guy that works in the meat department and one front end supervisor are amazing (I do not know their names unfortunately)UPDATE: it is about one month later and I just had another bad experience at this store today. First thing I did was put in an order for deli meat at the kiosk to pick up after I completed the rest of my shopping. About 45 minutes later, it was not ready despite the order screen estimating 20 minutes (mind you it had been over double that at that point). One of the clerks tried saying my order had popped up just then but the sticker clearly showed what time my order was placed. Chatting with other people that were also waiting, someone said the deli is backed up. The manager came around the counter and rudely demanded to know who said they were backed up. Who said we are backed up? We are NOT backed up. I said Well I put an order in at the kiosk 45 minutes ago and its not ready yet and she stomped away. There were about 5 people working behind the counter and I did see that several orders had been prepared and placed in the refrigerator to be picked up. It appeared most were for online orders (pick up or delivery) instead of customers that were physically present in the store which I found odd.Earlier, looking perplexed in an aisle, an employee asked if I needed help looking for anything. I was pleasantly surprised as I had not experienced that at this store. I am looking for parmeasean cheese I explain. To which she replies Its in the pasta aisle which also surprises me because I was just there and could not find any. Do you know what it is near becau.... Pasta aisle she said again and turned away from me. So down the aisle I went again and again did not find it. I asked another employee that looked like he may have been a manager who kindly told me it is over by the milk. I thanked him and briefly told him about the other person that helped me and he just rolled his eyes.ANOTHER UPDATE: I was in the store again today and was actually helped by some really great people. John T. and another young man helped me find something in the frozen department and were very pleasant while doing so. Also the gentleman overseeing the self checkout area was very patient and kind despite having to deal with a somewhat difficult customer (not me) while trying to do several things at once

I am not very impressed. As someone who worked at the Middletown Shop-Rite many moons ago, I was glad to see them back in the area. However, I would like to be able find items in the sales flyer and then buy them in the store. Recently, I saw an item I wanted to try, but I could not find it in the store. The official-looking gentleman at the front end told me that they did not carry that item, and that they had to share a flyer with two other stores. Not 20, not 200, not the entire Northeast, but three stores shared a flyer. Why cant each store have the items in their flyer available? There were other items from that vendor. This did not happen at the other Shop-Rite.The next week, there was a seasonal promotion for a free item if you bought two other items. After looking through the store for the items, I asked someone, who asked someone, who told me that the items had not shipped from the producer. This was the last day of a seven-day sale. How could items be in the flyer but not yet available? And no one cares?It does not seem that serving the customer is a priority, despite their in-store announcements

Poor customer service. Selling rotten produce and wont accept exchanges. They should have competent staff that can properly stock and pull spoiled merchandise. Especially knowing that during COVID people are shopping quickly to minimize their interaction in the store. Go to Stop and Shop across the street. Much better staff and customer service.

I have to give this place 5 stars. The service was excellent, the selection was amazing, and the whole place, including the bathroom, was cleaner than Kojaks scalp. Helpful and knowledgeable employees were everywhere. Zero complaints.
