This is the first review I have ever left but this place deserves it. Hidden gem. We go often and every time they are amazing. The staff seems to be family run and they are so sweet. The donuts are out of this world - melt in your mouth, perfect topping to donut ratio, etc. Others in the area are too thick or have too much topping or too extravagant of toppings taking away from the taste. I hope they never close!!

The sugar coated donuts tasted like they were fried in dirty oil and the apple fritters tasted like gasoline or kerosene or something of that nomenclature

Just stopped in today for the first time. The donuts are great! By far the best Apple fritter I’ve ever had. The cake and glazed are also great. I’m very confused by the negative reviews that are on here. I genuinely don’t understand what they didn’t like. Maybe they’re wanna be good critics. I will definitely be back.

Delicious donuts and decent selection. Bring cash if you plan on spending under $5.00. My favorite are the blueberry glazed and raspberry bismarck.

I ordered 10 dozen donuts for an office event. The Bakery was easy to work with and had the order ready on time for pick up. The donuts were delicious and they provided a large assortment - I will return!

Ive been looking for an old school, family owned donut shop for some time now. This is it. They make a great old fashion donut. They have cake donuts and fritters too, but the is nothing better than a fresh glazed old fashion... Fantastic...

Oh man, this little donut shop in Lamplighter Square sells super delicious donuts. Their maple cinnamon roll is to die for. Well, to be truthful, all of their donuts are equally as good.. Decent prices to boot and friendly service.

We have driven past this place many many times but never made an attempt to stop in...just seen a write up in the Post about this being their 40th anniversary so on Valentines morning, I rushed out to get my daughters and wife a few dounuts. WOW, super delicious. I now know where my go-to donut shop is! Awesome!

Happened to find this place by chance. Had a limited selection due to being almost sold out by 10am but the cinnamon roll donut and blueberry cake donuts were amazing! Will definitely be back.

Very underrated shop. Maple anything and I’m sold. However, I have to say this shop has the BEST Apple Fritters over tasted. Maybe a tie with Jerry’s. So good. Think I’ll get one today.

Donuts are very fresh; you can tell they were baked that morning! Great variety as well! The rosebuds are the best.

For what it is, I think it’s great. It’s a local, unpretentious, hometown donut shop. It had everything you’d really need: a good selection, sweet donuts, and black coffee. The coffee isn’t of Starbucks or Caribou quality, but that’s not why you’re coming here—the dollar-a-donut price is. Great value.Better coffee would’ve earned five stars.

So incredibly delicious, and really affordable! When I was last there, a school group was coming in and each child paid their dollar for their donut. Watching the staff patiently listen to their order, give them change, and give them each a donut was so heartwarming. Can’t wait to go back!

Im a huge donut aficionado. I am quite picky when it comes to them. But when I found this place more than 15 years ago...I was convinced. This is the best place in the Twin Cities for donuts, hands down. They have a decent variety and good prices. Their donuts are always consistently good. Not much of a showroom but it does have a small seating area but their donuts are really, really good. Worth a trip. I moved farther away about five years ago but I still make the trek across town a few times a month to get them. Theyre that good!

Great little donut shop. Nothing fancy about this place at all; just donuts and basic beverages, with Dennis the Menace comics decorating the walls. The donuts are all good, and a good price, too.

This is the best donuts shop Ive found in the twin cities. But de aware they dont always​ have the same quality, on rare occasions I have gotten donuts that taste like burnt oil. This is to be somewhat expected from a small operation.

Very good donut shop, friendly service. I like to stop in on Mondays to bring donuts in for the office for $7/Dozen. The raised donuts are always excellent, the cake donuts are sometimes a little dry, but who eats donuts without coffee?

Been there for what seems like forever, and not in a good way. Only place to get fresh donuts locally, but swear the equipment is the same stuff in the pictures on the wall. Update and renovate, Id give another star.

Pew. 8am donuts shouldnt have the taste and texture of day olds. Stale and gummy at the same time, grocery store variety, yuck. Honestly, just go to Cub...its better (and imho their pastries are terrible). I am shocked by all the good reviews. Also, the old guy drinking coffe, telling me about breastfeeding was weird too.
