I went to Jareds today to have my Levian ring repaired for the second time. Come to find out that they didnt send it out to Levian, they decided to do it there, which I didnt know. Now I see why it wasnt repaired properly.Jareds has gone downhill since Covid. The people there are rude, especially Sara, who seems to think she knows how the older (better) management would have handled things and was very rude and unprofessional. This is what you have to deal with now. When my ring is returned, 3 months from now, I will purchase my jewelry at another store with better trained people. Which is sad because I have shopped there for over 10 years.

My husband and my mother in law went to Jareds to get me a 3 year wedding anniversary present. The associate who assisted them was rude because my husband couldnt afford the jewelry they were trying to sell him. He ended up finding the perfect necklace for me. But what makes it worse the associate asked where we would be dining for our anniversary and because it wasnt high scale she turned her nose up to him... Made him feel terrible. She was lucky I wasnt there. The nerve of that associate making my husband feel less than because he couldnt afford the more expensive jewelry. If you cant treat people with kindness then you should not be in customer service.

I bought a beautiful engagement ring for my girlfriend, purchased it and had the mount and diamonds put in and HAD IT SIZED (told them I needed a size 8 and the size needed was also in the computer). Picked up the ring and it looked great (never even thought of checking the size because that is their job!). When it came time to pop the question she said yes. I go to put the ring on... wrong size. Not only the wrong size, 2 sizes to small. So our first 2 days engaged my fiancé had no ring at no fault of myself. What was an extremely big deal to me did not seem like much of a big deal to staff. I told the staff and I was told sorry and they admitted fault. I just expected more from a company I’ve heard so many good things about. Such an important day ruined because Jared didn’t do the one thing they are in business to do. Very disappointed.

I get that the employees must work on commission but a customer is still a customer. If I call your store and am told my ring is ready to be picked up, it should not be an issue when I come in to do so. I dont care that the employee that sold it to me is off today. Customer service is extemely poor here, or maybe we just didnt spend enough money or look the right way to actually be treated like we matter. I have worked a retail job where expensive items (glasses) were sold by one employee and could be delivered to the customer by anyone else. We never treated anyone the way I was treated here. Also, they are not realistic about when things will be ready and dont update you unless you reach out. I love my rings but my experience with this store wasnt a pleasant one.

Me and my fiancé started a wish list a few months back. Since COVID has everything going hectic, my fiancé decided to order my ring online and have it shipped. It got lost in the mail (not Jared’s fault). Nonetheless they said our money wouldn’t be refunded until the ring made it back to their store in New York. since that happened I was talking back and forth with them, and they said they have my ring in my size in store. So why not go get them both at the same time? When we sit down to pay and hash out the details, the price comes out higher than what we were told by 2 grand. Still haven’t got an explanation as to why the price jumped when I had the exact amount they originally told me it would be. That includes taxes, fees, and a lifetime protection program. So now, because I couldn’t pay the full amount i was gonna finance it. Financing takes me up 4 grand extra than what the ring costs. So instead I choose to be prudent and not let them rip me off, because why would I pay so much extra when I’m only short the cash because the money from the other ring didn’t get refunded, and they won’t accept any down payment except what the lease agreement states. But, wait... it gets better. Being that our wedding is only a few weeks away, I choose to buy my ring in store still so that we don’t screw up and not have either. The next day I talk to a buddy and go to his families jewelry shop. He gets me both the same exact rings for even cheaper than it would be at Jared’s if I bought it outright. Naturally I wanna get my money back for the ring I bought in store so I go to return it. This is literally not even a full 24 hours after the purchase. They state that they can’t refund this ring either because they don’t keep cash in the store. So now I’m out money for both rings until they decide/get enough cash to refund either/both transactions. The whole ordeal was shady, and just flat-out bad business.

Whether buying an engagement ring, charm bracelet or simple hoop earrings, they have always been professional and helpful. They even clean jewelry that wasnt purchased at Jared. But jewelry cleaning is currently restricted due to COVID.

I went in with my husband to look for a Father’s ring. He didn’t see anything that he liked that was specifically for dads. But he did find a men’s band that he really liked. They told us we could customize the ring and switch out some of the stones to match the birthstones of our daughters. In doing that it ended up being quite expensive. But they saved the information of what we liked and the size he needed. I called them back about three weeks later to confirm the price again and the saleswoman was able to cut down on the cost by working it a little differently- adding the service agreement instead of just paying for the customization outright. She also told me the ring itself was going to be on sale about three weeks later. I ended up saving over $600 on the ring. It took a little longer to be finished than I was originally told, but I had ordered in plenty of time before Father’s Day. The ring turned out beautifully and I also now have a lifetime service agreement on it. I am very happy with the way things worked out. I will definitely go back there again.

Customer service during purchases was great. Sizing corrections, and quality of work was horrible. After spending 13k this is the third time this week Ive had to drive an hour one way (after having to take off of work) to deal with ring resizing and corrections. First, engagement ring I purchased: after the stone was put in was mounted crooked. Then had to have that corrected along with wedding band soldered which was not done per our request in the correct fashion (engagement ring was mounted too low and the engagemwnt ring stone was still askew). This even after the sales rep not only hand wrote specific instructions about the mounting and spoke with them directly. At the same time I dropped off my wedding band to have it resized (reduced) which they never even did. They polished it and tried to give it back to me like the work had been completed. I will NEVER purchase from them again.

So I’ve been coming to this location for years, and after a bad experience with another location I realized how amazing this store actually is. They are so incredibly knowledgeable about all their inventory, they are nice, they don’t pressure me to buy, and when I do they always get me the best financing/payment options they can get. I have never had a single bad experience at this store and and any of its employees but I really have to give kudos to Joe the manager, he is a true professional and even called me to inform me multiple ones on the status of a watch product I was waiting for, thanks guys I will be back to give you more business soon!

Wow! I am amazed! Today, I called at 8:00 pm (an hour before they close). Andrea was as helpful as she could be over the phone. I arrived around 8:15 pm. Andrea was very sweet and quick to help me! Chris fixed my husbands ring extremely quickly, probably in about 5 minutes. And I left with my husbands ring at 8:31! They did an excellent job! Thank you Andrea and Chris for such a great experience!!

I went in Jared’s (Howe Ave) twice in the month of May, once for mother’s day and once for my cousins graduation gift. Going in for mother’s day was my very first visit to Jared’s! The lady that took care of me was very kind, sweet and patient. I cannot remember her name but thank you! I really loved that Jared had an area for kids. With me being a single mom of 4 kids, that was very helpful. It gave me the time I needed to look and find the right gift for my mom and interact with the staff without telling my 3 yo, stop, don’t touch, please be quiet I am trying to talk and so forth. I was definitely worried about how my trip was going to go with the kids. The 2nd time I went in, I worked with a man named Sean (Shawn, Shaun). (Might have misspelled). He was awesome!!! He offered me water, he kept me entertained while we filled out my Jared account. He was very nice, pleasant, and funny. Thank you for making both of my experiences good ones. I WILL be back!

This is a big store with wide variety of choices and services. Adrienne took a lot of time and helped me to choose just the right necklace for my wife. I went back a few days later to get the latch on my bracelet adjusted. It was a quick fix and then they cleaned it for me. Everyone was very friendly. This is not the closest jewelry store to me but it will definitely be my go to store in the future.

My girlfriend bought me a beautiful Movado watch for Christmas and as you can imagine, I wanted to show it off as soon as possible. That weekend, following the Christmas chaos, I took the watch into Jared to have it sized where she had originally purchased it. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the store manager Joe who took it upon himself to personally oversee my fitting. Not only did he size my watch for me, he decided to go the extra step and took the time to show me exactly how the watch works and set it accordingly for me (as I was clearly lost). This had to be my first awful experience with Jared. My husband purchase me a charm bracelet and before I could get it on one came off that very evening, I went to this Jared location the next day and I asked if I could replace the lost charm but the lady offered to replace the charm free of charge since I had just got it the day before ( sounds great right NO) they didn’t have the charm in at the time. So after talk for a while the lady helping me wrote her information down a said she would call me when a new batch cames in or I can call her. So I waited almost a week and nothing, so I called Jared and a guy told me she hurt her wrist and was out but he would let me know when the charm come in if she was not back. And here it is 4 months later still no call or nothing. I will never shop at this location and plan to reach out to the store supervisor.

Went there for a watch battery and possible repair. First thing was the door was looked and had to be let in. They said they keep them locked. How do you do busy like that !!! Then she said $25 for a battery unless i open a charge account with them. A battery price anywhere is $5 or less and one minute to but in. I just let her lock the door after i walked out. I will never go back. This is no way to run a business.

When the sale person sold me the ultimate warranty for the merchandise and was never inform their customers that the warranty itself will expired within the time frame within 3 years. Neither the sales associate or the warranty brochure stated for the expiration date. The warranty brochure only saids it will cover life time warranty for the battery. Technically the manufacturer warranty should cover that portion. Who needs an extended warranty for $179.99 for 3 years for a Swiss watch when its not 100% cover.

I told the previous person that I ask GOD to seht me a Southern Woman that could cook. Not one that knew someone who could cook. Not someone who has seen someone else cooking. But an actual cook. Everyone is always very sweet when I go there but unfortunately the lady sold me a wedding band that did not match my engagement ring and when it came to fusing them together three days before my wedding I was told it was impossible and had to get a brand new set which doesnt have sentimental value to it. I had bought a jewelry set there as well which is absolutely stunning but decided to return it due to the fact I didnt want anymore of my money going to the business as I already have.

Jared itself is a great company with great people. They have gone to a Genesis finance for there credit card. That company is horrible and will cost Jared customers including myself. So if you need to finance go elsewhere.Do not get involved with genesis as they will not help you and seem to have trouble setting up auto pay. Like Genesis told me. Its my problem that they cant get it right. Dont make it yours.

Terrible service. I went into the store to purchase a ring and a charm and there was 6 ladies in there. They all told me that they was going to help me and I stood in The store for 45 min looking around and not one person came to help me. They were chatting and laughing knowing I was The store I felt like they discriminated me because I was dark skinned and thought I didnt have money to spend. Went in looking for something specific they didn’t have it, so decided to look for one of those gold bar necklace they said they didn’t have a single bar on necklaces with 2, which I didn’t want, then I happen to see a single bar necklace and said isn’t that one right there.....and yes it was.... sales lady kept complaining she was in pain ......... was having the necklace engraved so picked up the next day the young kid that was helping me just handed me the necklace, I was like can u put it in a box for me he said oh yes sorry of course.... then handed me the box... I said could I get a bag please.... he then gave me a bag, I didn’t spend a fortune but i did spend about 300.00 for a gift for my daughter for her 1st Mother’s Day I felt very rushed by the people there and pressured to buy something I didn’t want.... then when he just handed me the necklace with no box or bag when I picked it up..... I was completely turned off..... very bad customer service. And I never do reviews but felt like this time I needed to and because the gift was special to me and to my daughter and I just didn’t get the warm feeling from the store at all when going.

Horrible experiences. I had shopped at Jared for over 16 years and my husband and I had purchased 3 new rings. They told my husband if he loved me he would spend more, we had gotten the warranty on my husbands ring and we were told for ordering a new one he could keep old one till new one came in. Then when we did order new size they wanted us to pay again and give them his current ring. When we refused to pay again the assoc. rolled her eyes at us and told the coworker next to her can you believe them. We have now returned almost $3000 worth of jewelry and we will not return ever. No one offered any compensation given that the ring we traded in (which was less than 6 mths old and 3 repairs already) was crumbling per the store. All they offered was a $13 bear to my son.

I got engaged Christmas Day (woot woot:)) so I went to get my ring resized at Jared’s because they do same day sizing and at first the lady said they wouldn’t be able to do it because they close early on Sunday’s. I told her how important it was to get it done that day because I was going home the next day and we do not have a Jared’s in Walnut Creek, CA ! She then asked and was able to get it resized the same day ! I was so happy and she was very nice about it. A few hours later I was able to pick my ring up and it fit perfectly ! Beware of their extremely strict 30 day return policy. Tried to return an anklet that I had purchased for my wife just one day after the return period and they would not take the return. I had purchased it as a gift and did not give it to her until there was about a week left on the return period. After using it for about a week it had fallen off few times and she determined she didnt really like it and wanted to get something else. Even though I said wed be back to get something else in its place, they would not take a return.

Dont trust them. Try and get someone to help you after your purchasethey do not want to hear about it. Their replacement guarantee that I boughthook line and sinker is bogus. Theyll be seeing me in court soon.
