Chill spot (literally sometimes). Not sure why its always freezing inside. 59 degrees outside today, and they have the a/c on. ? Even the girl working behind counter had a jacket on. They have a fireplace, but I have only seen it working when they first opened. Maybe broken, or staff does not bother.Bedside manner is lacking. Im sure the regulars here know who Im talking about.

This is a very cosy and nice cafe. It combines rustic elements with modern style. The cakes and muffins are great. The coffee is made with a professional coffee machine and tastes delicious. For me its the best cappuccino I have had since a long time.

Ive been coming here the last couple of weeks for a study spot and wow, I am impressed. The staff are really kind and welcoming. The coffee is extremely reasonably priced, while also very tasty. All of the food and treats do not disappoint, and again are very reasonably priced. I wish I found this place earlier!

Probably my favorite pit-stop on our road trip. This coffeehouse was beautiful, clean, friendly staff and the coffee was excellent. Walking out I told my husband I wished we lived here so I could come here for coffee everyday. We visited during Covid and felt it was clean and well maintained. The staff was cheery and helpful. Probably will make this a regular stop every time we drove this route. The cold brew is on tap! I thought that was so cool!

Great coffee shop. The young man behind the bar was exceptional, and informative when I asked the difference between my usual dark roast and Nero’s medium roast. Although I prefer mine. The cup of coffee was pretty darn good! I definitely recommend.

Opening time on store front and Google is 7am. Me and 3 other customers were there at 7am, and it was closed. I left at 730am - doors still locked. The staff were inside, and saw us / heard us knock, but ignored us didnt have the courtesy to come out and say what the reason was for the delay, if anything. I drove a fair bit to get to this shop as I like the seating, but they just lost my business.

Cozy atmosphere with a decent daily brew and specialty beverages. Most food items are prepared in-house so freshness is better than third party vendors often used by competitors. Plenty of outlets along with semi-private seating. Definitely a good place for a meet or solo venture.

1st time visitor this morning. Decor warm and welcoming. Good food choices and delicious pastries. TERRIBLE service. The young man behind the counter made us feel like we were a bother to order coffees, pastries and sandwiches. Rude and unwelcoming and for this reason we will not return.

This place is awesome, The coffee, the staff, everything feels really comfortable. I have to say I think there are a lot of customers that come in and show unnecessary aggression especially during such trying times. I see how the employees, especially the young man behind the counter, are dealt privileged entitlement daily with grace.

The food is overpriced, and the service was unpleasant, and it was clear that my race affected my service; I was the only person of color in the cafe the whole time I was there. I understand that during covid, we only are allowed to sit at a table for 90 minutes, and so after I had been there for a while they asked me to leave. However, there were people there before me that were still there when I left, and the middle aged white waiter that kept being rude to me kept eyeing me while I was packing up, while he was having a friendly conversation with a white customer who was in the place a much longer time than me. Additionally, when I came in, I had a starbucks lemonade order in my hand, and so I was in the process of ordering an avocado toast when this same man said I cant eat it outside because I cant drink the starbucks inside the place, so I was forced to go outside in 20 degree weather to drink this, and I wasnt allowed back in until the same man made eye contact with me while I threw away my drink. There were people clearly drinking water bottles and other drinks from outside places, and yet this was ok? I was very much targeted by this waiter, and I dont recommend this place if you are a person of color. I would give this place a 0 out of 5 if I could, and I am never coming here again.

The atmosphere has a casual, yet intellectual vibe. The sitting area has a industrial, modern twist. The food is amazing with options of glutton free menu. The cafe area is very inviting and the staff are also welcoming. I had the Vegetarian pie (they call it something else) and my taste bud are still having a journey. The coffee taste so amazing and fresh! This is the best place to hold casual conversation or business interaction. Plan on visiting again when Im in town. Thanks Caffe Nero for a great experience!

Every town needs a place like this. Good coffee, pleasant staff, comfortable setting to work or talk with friends. The music is not obnoxious and they don’t try to push you out the door. I also like that their mocha is not too sugary.

Great cafe that serves coffee and small snacks. The pistachio muffin was a standout for me. The store was not that busy and had lots of room to accommodate a large amount of people. The coffee was delicious and well balanced. Would go there again.

Pastries and cookies and muffins are fresh and delicious, the sandwiches and pizza and salads are fabulous, and the coffee is heaven in a cup. Atmosphere is comfortable with intimate booths or stuffed chairs and couches with a fireplace for ambience and warmth in the winter, and plenty of books to browse should the need arise. Helpful staff, relaxing surroundings, ample parking in the back.

Nice wide selection of baked goods and beverages. Portions not very big. Opens early in the morning for a quick breakfast, but theres also comfy seating if you want to relax a while.

I wanted to visit just because Id heard the interior was great. But everything about the place exceeded my expectations. The best chai latte Ive ever drank, and a fig & prosciutto flatbread pizza that was so delicious I couldnt even slow down to savor it. And great service, to boot! Cant recommend this place highly enough.

On 9/2020 I had a great experience. Great coffee place and for a quick biteIn June 8th 2021 around the closing time ...just wanted to get a cup of coffee and some thing to eat and the service was horrible. The server behaved like he was being bothered. You sell coffee and there are other places.

Lovely ambiance, nobody bothers you. You get what you want to eat or drink k when you are ready. My only complaint would be that the music is too loud and could be softer for ambiance and conversation

Its a cozy coffee shop on a sleepy road in Darien, CT (in Darien, all the roads are a bit sleepy -- thats a good thing).They roast some of the best coffee Ive ever had, and Im a coffee person...

This is definitely my new favorite coffee shop in the greater Stamford area. I make the drive here on days I want to sit a bit and enjoy coffee and get some work done, because theres just nothing comparable in Stamford that Ive found (if Im wrong, please let me know!)To start, the coffee is great. The food options seem good as well, but so far Ive only tried a variety of coffees and baked goods. The pistachio muffin is delicious, albeit so high in calories.What I really love is that its such a great space and atmosphere. There are lots of little nooks and places to sit that feel private-ish, and perfect for working, interspersed with larger seating areas for groups. I love that there are books around, giving an overall feeling of a modern library. The outdoor space is great as well. Out front is some seating, wth a few comfy outdoor chairs, and around the side are additional wrought-iron tables for two.Parking isnt fun in this part of town, but I often park in the lot behind CVS and walk over. Theres one-hour street parking out front if you can find a spot and wont be over an hour.

Looked cute and I was exited to try it out but was turned down by the employee coz according to him I entered the register area from the wrong side. There was nobody else ordering and even the lady who came later confirmed that I was there alone waiting when she came in. Very upsetting service and not typical of Darien. Wont go again and if you go make sure you enter from the correct side or they wont take your order, apparently its very important when you are the ONLY customer in the store! And just to make sure, I never had a chance to try the coffee so only commenting on the customer service.

A quality coffee shop around the Stamford/Darien area that has some actual class, purpose, and refinement to it.If youre looking for that kind of mood a coffee shop should ideally evoke from you, then look no further, and no closer, than Caffe Nero.Not only does the well-designed, homey brick-and-book aesthetic make you feel slightly more intelligent, the people that frequent there make it an agreeable place to spend ones time, with food and drink options abounding in colorful variety as well (ranging from sandwiches, to pastries, to smoothies, to coffee, to artisanal waters, to cookies, muffins, chocolate, etc.)More than anything though, what inspired me to write this review was the stunning and attentive service from Dan.
