The place is run by kids; so they’re learning. The ice cream itself was good. I got s’mores and Graham crunch and the Graham crunch was filled with Graham cracker goodness and crunchy bits. Yum yum.

Ice cream is great as usual (been a regular since they opened) but the service was below expectations. Because the service was so bad, I was actually asked if I had already paid for my ice cream, as if I would have stolen an ice cream cone. I was a bit surprised by that, I have to say... 😅 However, the ice cream is extraordinary!

Man, this place has gone downhill. ordered a vanilla ice cream cone - the most basic item on the menu. I don’t think I have ever seen someone screw up an ice cream cone THIS bad lol. The girl made it so huge and uneven that it was falling apart as she handed it to me to purchase. Literally it looked like made it with her eyes closed. i asked for a cup, but it could barely contain the overflow that was dripping all over. I understand that sometimes you have a tough night when you’re working in food service, but I asked for a cone and received a gross messy soup of ice cream lol. How do you expect someone to pay for this? Came here with my family and had to wait atleast ten minutes for the 8+ high schoolers behind the counter to stop having their own conversation before being assisted. Terrible quality, terrible service, terrible prices too. Really a shame - this place used to be good.

Great ice cream spot with lots of flavors!

I came into the Darien Gofer on a Tuesday evening, on July 27th, 2021 around 8:00pm. I was accompanied by my two younger brothers and when we entered the store, there were at least 6-7 people behind the counter, and no other customers but us. Four employees were huddled behind the ice cream counter and having their own personal conversation and didnt acknowledge us. One other girl offered assistance, and I ordered one blended coffee to be made and also wanted to order two cups of ice cream once she came back. Without knowing a blended coffee was going to take 10 minutes to make, no one else asked if there was anything else they could get for us while the coffee was being made. Instead, my brothers and I had to just stand there and listen to a conversation about one of the teenage girl employee hooking up with a boy... I clearly overhead, he was laying on top of me on the recliner. They didnt even bother to lower their voices, as they were all talking in a normal, room-level voice ever since we stepped into the store. This was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. I have never seen such unprofessionalism among a group of privileged teenagers who are apparently just getting paid to do nothing and gossip. Finally, one of the four employees in the same huddled group decided to turn around and ask if there was anything else they could get for me. It was a fairly simple order, two cups of single scoop ice cream. Overall, probably spent 15-20 minutes at this empty location patiently waiting for ice cream I shouldve gotten at a different Gofer location.

Omg this is by far the best place...... sugar free ice cream... now all they need to do is make it sugar free and lactose free together and then they will always have me there....
