I was fortunate enough to meet with Kathy LaMorte just before the COVID pandemic brought everything to a standstill. At that time, she came up with a preliminary plan and over the next few months, we tweaked it by taking advantage of Zoom. Kathy changed several items over the course of the planning which maximized the space I had to work with and she added in a few little goodies that I never would have thought of - its clear to me that she knows her stuff!Since I live in Michigan, coming to my home with all the quarantine restrictions was out of the question - Kathy went above and beyond to walk me through the measuring process. As a testament to her thoroughness, we repeated the measuring again before the install just to ensure a smooth installation. Thorough and professional were words I used time and time again to describe working with Kathy and the rest of the California Closets staff that I dealt with.On installation day in mid December 2020, the two man crew were right on time despite having to travel from Illinois in weather that wasnt ideal. The project was an unheated garage, but they were ready for it and within hours had the process completed. They took the time to make sure that all my questions were answered and that I understood the system. Kathy followed up a couple of times to make sure I was satisfied with the finished product.Without hesitation, I heartily recommend California Closets of Deerfield for the quality of the product, their knowledge, and concern for the customer. If I need another project I know now who to contact. It will be done right, on time, professionally, and at a fair price.

My saleswoman Barbara was wonderful to work with and really helped turn my ideas into reality. The virtual CADs really enhanced the experience (something the other 2 companies did not offer) and allowed me to make changes/enhancements and see them in real time. The installers showed up on time, were very respectful of my house and did a beautiful job. I could not be happier. I totally recommend them and would not hesitate to call them again for another closet project!

California Closets designed and installed 3 large closets and two smaller ones in our new Condo. The design experience was very thorough and I got exactly what I wanted for the various spaces. They were on time and professional. Even though part of the construction actually occurred in the apartment they protected the floors completely and did a very thorough clean up job at the end. We used California Closets for every closet in our house as well as for some custom built-ins for additional storage (mudroom, living room cabinet, and basement media center). Everything turned out just gorgeous and we couldnt be happier! The attention to detail with our storage needs was A+ (way to go Tanya H.) and makes our house look exceptionally clean when it really has everything to do with the fact that we have storage for all our stuff. The install crew was fantastic- Justin and Garret were super professional, knowledgeable, and fast. I would highly recommend CC to anyone who wants gorgeous custom storage.

I had a great experience from Maureen who completed a fabulous closet design to Gus who showed up on installation day and was very kind and professional. He began at 8 am and worked straight through until 2 pm when he finished. I felt bad that he did not even take any type of break in 6 hours! He did a fabulous job and I am thrilled with my new closet. :-) I have already referred several people to CC and will continue to do so.

Everything was great from our first meeting to discuss organzation of our garage and basement. The plans were detailed and modified a number of times to get tolerances and feature updates just right. The installation crew was terrific. They had six people for two days to complete the project. We are so impressed with the quatity of the process and the products.

We used California Closets to upgrade three closets in our condo in December 2020, and we couldnt have been more pleased with the results. We first visited the showroom and spoke with Michele Aprati about our project. It was very helpful to see the closet options in person, talk with her about different design ideas, take some samples home, and plan next steps. She then visited our place to see the space and take measurements, and then we reviewed designs with her over Zoom. She came up with beautiful designs, incorporating everything that we asked for. The installation crew was efficient and professional. We knew the results were going to be amazing, but they really did exceed our expectations. I had a pantry redesigned. Syvannia was excellent to work with and really helped me make the most of my space! We just had metal shelving units prior to using California Closets, and it was always a mess and very unorganized. Now everything has a place and it works so well! It was pricey, but money well spent. I love it!

Communication and Process were fluid and made this home improvement effortless for me!!!I was so incredibly pleased with California Closets from the beginning to the end result. I completed the online request for consultation and the next day Barbara reached out to me. It was a fluid experience. Barbara came to my condo, measured and remeasured accurately, and spent quality time with me to find out what I wanted. The variety of door designs was excellent. I went into the store to better see the samples in full length. The person inside was very helpful. Once I made my decision, Barbara communicated with me throughout the entire process. The quality of the shelves, the installation was solid! They came out twice, once for the shelves and once for the doors b/c of a delay with the doors. But thats understandable with custom work. This ended up being a wonderful blessing as it gave me time to replace the floors! Barbara also communicated the delay and gave me a choice whether I wanted to have two different installation times or wait for the doors to come in.They provided my board with the necessary documentation of insurance. California Closets made my life easy. Its just so wonderful when I can experience ease. Ive already recommended California Closets to friends and neighbors who were impressed with my beautiful closets.

From start to finish the team and rep was helpful, courteous and professional. Working with the rep, we came together on a design that would meet my needs. Finally, the final product was professionally installed, looks excellent and maximized my closet space!

We used Diane Oprea and California Closets to outfit our master, two guest room closets, and our front hall closet in our newly constructed home. She had good suggestions and came out (about 30 miles away from their base) to take measurements twice to make sure we got a good installation. This all took place in the worst part of COVID and she masked up and walked around our construction site to get the numbers she needed. Their installer was clearly very experienced and took care of a couple of minor issues that arose, then came back two days later to bring a minor missing part. I have previously used California Closets in another house. They are not the least expensive company but I believe you get what you pay for. My favorite thing in the closet that I didn’t think would make a difference? My jewelry drawer!

I’ve been building a home and the last year during Covid has been eye opening. Because of disrupted supply chains I’ve ordered cabinetry/shelving from a local custom carpenter, IKEA, Home Depot, and California Closets. California closets was by far the easiest and most efficient experience. The designer practically read my mind, the installers were fast and did good work. HD was a nightmare of coordinating different companies and took about 4 months to do a “4-6 week” job. I doubt we’ll ever get all the pieces for the one room I ordered from IKEA. I would definitely recommend CC for closets and non-kitchen cabinets. They may seem more expensive than other options, but they are worth every penny.

I had California closets in Deerfield come out to inspect a horribly faulty job completed by another company. I had the pleasure of working with Kathy who understood that we unfortunately lost $15k on closets and our budget was tight. She was able to work within a new budget (we paid through green sky to lessen the financial burden). Our closets turned out phenomenal! Quality is amazing. Professional installers with pleasant personalities. They were in and out within a day and a half! I have since then referred CC and Kathy to many people including several clients. California Closet installed shelving and cabinets in a walk-in closet. The consultant was very insightful. She counted all my clothes (short, medium and long). She suggested a shoe cabinet which I was reluctant about, but I love it!! The installation was quick considering everything that had to be carried in and installed. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I’m very happy with it.

From our meeting with Melissa Morgan to the installation by Jose Silveyra the experience was a 10+. Melissa was meticulous when helping us design our space for our pantry. She provided great insight and was very knowledgeable about the products to offer to help us organize the space. She also did not oversell us on extra items which we would not have needed We LOVE the end result. The installation also went extremely well. We were pleasantly surprised as to how quickly we were able to have the install done. Jose was very respectful of our home, laying down moving pads to protect our flooring as he came in and out of the house. He also left the space clean when he was finished. He provided information on the product warranty and care. His service was top notch!

From the first call, to the installation - this company was amazing! John came and listened to what I wanted and made it happen. Incredible how they draw it up. Mark was communicating with me on install date and was very kind. I was so thankful to get it done. I had to email him a few times with questions; to which he was never put out. California Closets did a very nice job of creating more storage space inside two 1927 closets in Fall of 2017 and very early March of 2020.

The work was impeccable. The service was amazing we will be using California Closets in the future.

Due to Covid-19 I wanted a local consultation for help with a closet design outside of Illinois. They were not interested in meeting with me because there would be no sale from their location. How many times have you shopped somewhere or consulted with someone and not actually made a purchase? uh huh, it happens, its called customer service. Maybe I wont use California Closets in my new location either.

We went there about 2 weeks ago to just get an idea of their products. We talked to the person who was in the store and told them this project won’t be happening until a few weeks later. The lady said a consultant would give us a call and that hasn’t happened. We’re really disappointed that we never even gotten a call to do an initial chat to see what have to offer and get an idea of how much the project was going to cost. CC’s loss is another company’s gain because we found another closet company who was eager to work with us on this project.
